As a Dutchie living in Sydney, Australia for 4 years who's been watching your videos ever since you started vlogging, I have to say I'm really proud. 🥹 From experience I can say that speaking English more easily and expanding your vocabulary really does come over time with lots of practice, but also that losing a Dutch accent might never happen, since I still have mine - very thick. Hi! So exciting you finally decided to make an English video! Don't worry about your accent. I've been living abroad for about 2 years now (I'm also from the Netherlands) and I found that most of the world doesn't care about accents like dutch people do. Dutchies are just brutal when it comes to an accent. There is no need to sound native. Actually while attending language school here I'm in a class full of people with different nationalities. The native English speakers are mainly just super enthusiastic that you speak 2 or more languages and other like German , Italians, Finnish are mainly excited when someone speaks with their own language accent, they are proud. And here we are, the dutch, over achievers and bashing everyone. Just wanted to say, you're doing great and keep going

I originally come from Hungary but now I live in the Netherlands and I'm learning Dutch, so I feel you on the learning, trying to find the words, practicing, etc. Trust me your English is far above my Dutch ;) :D

Hi! So exciting you finally decided to make an English video! Don't worry about your accent. I've been living abroad for about 2 years now (I'm also from the Netherlands) and I found that most of the world doesn't care about accents like dutch people do. Dutchies are just brutal when it comes to an accent. There is no need to sound native. Actually while attending language school here I'm in a class full of people with different nationalities. The native English speakers are mainly just super enthusiastic that you speak 2 or more languages and other like German , Italians, Finnish are mainly excited when someone speaks with their own language accent, they are proud. And here we are, the dutch, over achievers and bashing everyone.

Like always you are very hard for yourself, like we all are in de Netherlands. We don't only are judging others but often our selfs to much. When you get used to talk in English in front of the camera it will be more easy. In de voiceover you sounds already more confident. Give your self time and good luck with the English Channel.
