This is amazing. I've been to Langkawi in Jan 2017 for 1 week and been to all theplaces in the video except Maha Tower which was probably being built at the time. Although Perhentian and Redang Islands off the east coast have better turquoise water, snorkelling and marine life but Langkawi has more to offer on many levels
To be honest, malaysia's best islands are in the east coast of the peninsula and sabah state in borneo. Crystal clear waters, corals, abundant marine life. And yes it rivals thailand and philippines. Eg perhentian islands, redang, rawa, tioman, lang tengah. Also in sabah which has many islands.
It also depends how well local authorities take care of it though. I hv seen 3 vlogs on langkawi which showed trash problem. Unfortunately the earth needs help to control sea trash. And locals must respect the environment as well.
@@keangwooichoo6138 I completely agree. They are trying to keep the Langkawi beaches clean and collect trash everyday but there is always new plastic washing in and it is sad to see.
Some more attractions in Langkawi that worth visiting: -Kota Mahsuri (where Mahsuri's Tomb is located) -Ayer Hangat Village (natural salt water hot spring) -Galeria Perdana (Memorial dedicated to Tun Dr Mahathir former Malaysian's Prime Minister) -Langkawi Craft Complex -Beras Terbakar (Field of Burnt Rice) -Kubang Badak Geopark/Geotrail -Langkawi Geopark Discovery Center -National Art Gallery Langkawi
You guys really get around the world. Love it. I didn't know they drove on the opposite of the road. Wow a glass bottom. I don't know if I could do that.
Langkawi look absolutely stunning! There's no way I would be taking the cable car, or going on the skybridge lol. And definitely not the glass floor in the tower. But the beaches are beautiful, so I would love that. Cheers :)

Luckily they did have cable cars without the glass bottom it is still crazy high.
Lang is eagle in malay (helang), kawi is the type or species.

Honestly no, to fly I would say yes but you would have very little time on the island if by road.
