Even if you lose the last reward every few weeks, pulling a character you don't like, a character who will get power creept in a year, I don't think it's worth it.
So I don't know if anyone does this, but I was farming relics for Firefly and got some insane Valorous pieces by "accident". That convinced me to pull for Fei Xiao. I personally call this "bottom-up investment": looking at what LC, relics and characters I already have and what character I could pull that could effectively utilize these pieces and teammates. As opposed to top-down investment where you pull a character and then need to find a good LC and new relics. Another example: in ZZZ I farmed the Physical set for Jane Doe, who requires Anomaly Proficiency. But in doing so I ended up with some really cracked CRIT pieces for that set that Jane can't use. I also pulled a really good Attack W-engine (equivalent of LC). I also pulled Caesar that is potentially a really good support for a Physical attacker. Now I'm looking out for the next S-rank CRIT scaling Physical attacker, because once that unit drops, I have a perfect set for them ready and waiting.
i do this too lol, whenever you get really good pieces or sets for a character that you literally have no interest for, you suddenly start feeling like "hmm, maybe they wont be that bad in my account, i can give them this cracked set i got, hmm". Tbh no matter how much one disagrees, this iss a mindset and there is nothing wrong with it, we just tryin to be efficient :) nothing should go to waste am i right
Same thing happened to me, was farming for future Acheron's relic set but got such a gud Aven set that if I can get an E0S1 Aven, I can give him cd chest & img boost sphere. Sadly, it happened before I met Rappa, So, I pulled for her instead. Let's see if Rng will bless me in the 2nd phase.
This approach is so crazy to me haha I decide if I like a characters personality, looks and gameplay. If I am not instantly in love the character, I would never get them. I would rather take more time and waste resin to build the characters I love perfectly then getting characters I dont love
Man I think I am the only one now pulling for character I like rather than meta. I have seele, jingyuan, silverwolf, acheron, blackswan, yunli, ratio, rappa , jinglu. Have no limited hamony, preservation or abundance. I lost 50-50 and pull for lighcones. Maybe appart from acheron I don't have any meta character.
I only pull for men, so no limited harmony, and I'm able to clear MoC and AS, sometimes I can't do PF 4 though. I do have to think about my comps more strategically, and do a bunch of tries in MoC 12 until I clear it. I'm having fun though so I won't stop what I'm doing
Same here, actually. I’m done with pulling characters just for meta, and chances are my favorites will eventually be buffed by a strong future Harmony anyway
The Lingsha having a summon part is slightly sketchy on the importance of atm. If Sunday is the summon support then summons aren't really a "team", he makes one summoner a hypercarry, he doesn't boost a team of summoners really.
A pair of 3.x Blade-like HP scaling DPS units have been datamined, one quantum and one imaginary. According to a reliable source, these two have been tested together with Lingsha and Luocha, two powerful healers with emergency heals. The current 2.6 Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription event offers a 4* Destruction HP scaling light cone, Ninja Record: Sound Hunt, probably in anticipation of new HP scaling DPS units in 3.0+. I got it to S5 when finishing the event a couple of days ago. New rumors are flowing in about these and other new 3.x units; new 3.x mechanics; more about Servants, or on-field summons, à la Servants and Masters from the long-running JP multimedia Fate series (Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord, Topaz's Numby, and Lingsha's Fuyuan are off-field summons); multiple enemies lined up in rows, at least 2 rows; and so on.
This is why I feel so blessed for having pulled Lingsha as someone who started during Robin's release banner. I couldn't get Aventurine so she fills not only the sustain role in my second break team but also my FUAFeixiao team, too.
Me personally, I dont pull for the meta, I pull for characters that I find really cool, and if they happen to not be as good as other characters, then so be it. But thats why I have so much fun playing this game, its really fun to try to figure out a team to full clear the latest endgame without the premium meta characters. For example I coudlnt find a way to full clear the last ap shadow with any of my built characters, but then I looked at the buffs and saw there was a big ice damage up buff, so I quickly built my yanquing well enough, and I barely full cleared it, which I was really proud of.
Same. This pure fiction I struggled through the first half with a team of Jing Yuan, Serval, HMC, Ruan Mei. How they got enough points is beyond me, because I've not been able to replicate that at all. But thing was, any other teams I tried barely even made it to the boss, let alone sniping another 4600 points😅 (the other half carried, clearing with 35 400). But the satisfaction when I made it was immeasurable!😂
To the leveling of 4 stars: Break-characters like Galla should be 80, because break and superbreak damage actively scale with character level. For the others: I also have many 4 star supports/buffers on level 75 and it really doesn't matter if the last trace doesn't add something significant and they aren't dying. I also would like to add that we hear a lot of people recommending getting DPS units on reruns (here Feixiao). The past tells us though that DPS units usually are only viable for a few months after their rerun, because at the time of their rerun they'll be half a year old already. So why I understand that people will recommend the characters that helped them in the past, it's generally not recommended to go for DPS units on reruns. It's better to save up for the "new" Acheron, the "new" Feixiao etc that mihoyo will drop on us in a few weeks or months.
Oh yeah, characters with a FUA will always scale good Imo. Himeko even now works as a nice firefly substitute for me when I build her with BE. Jing Yuan's scaled just as long with his FUA and now with the Servant stuff comin into play. Topaz has aged very well since she was released early without her current best teammates. Feixiao will continue to age well with her FUA stuff combined with the amount of toughness she removes with her Ult, imagine making her go with Ruan Mei in a BE set and she becomes another Boothill or somethin situationally speaking. March 7th Imaginary? She's FUA, and her skill depending on teammates means she has access to dual elemental weakness break, so like a reverse silverwolf in that she buffs her teammates and takes on their elemental type. The versatility of FUA is the future and is probably one of the most fundamental mechanics of HSR that will age well. I def won't pull Jing Yuan, but I'll definitely look forward to getting Aventurine, Topaz and more. Hopefully Servants will have FUA too, and if they do I'll prob pull for em too! TL:DR FUA is futureproof and the best long term investment to make alongside harmony characters.
I’ve made the same point as well before! There’s something very pivotal about the Follow Up Archetype that other archetypes are hindered by. They don’t gotta whittle down shields to get superbreak damage, wasting turns to build debuffs to get Acherons ult up, DoT is good but they have to scrape through massive amounts of hp, or enemies who are slow. FUA isn’t like Hypercarry where you double buff one unit. Especially if we get new enemies like “Something Unto Death” where your dps or supports are stolen & you are SOL. FUA teams benefit from the TEAM doing damage, plus their buffs are directly influenced by other members just being on the team! Aventurine in my main stay for my account is a blessing & I just got Topaz E0 S1, she’s a must have unit for FUA in my opinion! I feel the same way about Jing Yuan, even if Sunday will benefit him the most.
After Feixiao I was really convinced into building a FUA team. They even provided really good f2p options like Hunt March already. Get a Robin to round it all off together and you'll be doing moc 12 on auto.
My own personal advice to people is that it would be extremely stupid on HoYo's part to make older characters irrelevant because of newer ones, because that will drastically tank the sales of rerun banners. So even if E2S1 Acheron gets powercrept somehow, it's unlikely she will be unable to clear endgame without further vertical investment for at least another year. Maybe even longer since she already has a dedicated support. 7:11 Also, while many support units don't NEED to be level 80 specifically if you only care about their damage, any character who gets used on a Break/Super Break team (i.e. Gallagher) will benefit from being levelled a lot more because of how Break damage scales.
Comparing Genshin and HSR, the latter is more prone to powercreeping since it's a turn-based game. Vertical investment, especially on a DPS during a rerun, is a gamble as you will never know if it can remain competitive. Horizontal investment is overall a safer choice as Hoyo will definitely provide the environment/enemies for new characters to shine. Maybe a compromise is to pull for supports with their key eidolon/LC without splurging on DPSes so you can pivot to another team comp as necessary.
@@melvin3681 Of course HSR has more powercreep than Genshin, I never said it didn't, but it still wouldn't make sense for HoYo to make SO much powercreep that any given unit is completely irrelevant a year after release. They'd lose out on an enormous amount of sales. I think what makes more sense than powercreep is just introducing new gimmicks to the cycle rotations (along with FuAs and Break) so that it's harder to clear endgame without new teams even if they aren't objectively better than older ones. Of course the powercreep will still happen but HoYo doesn't WANT it to happen so they'll try to look for alternative ways to encourage people to pull new characters while still keeping old ones appealing.
@@chickensky1121i don’t see why you think power creep wouldn’t happen in a year, its already been shown to happen in less than a year, play genshin if you want slower power creep hsr has had no qualms about implementing power creep that fast in the past, its part of the reason i don’t care as much about the end game. I can just about do the hardest difficulty moc. But if i couldn’t i wouldn’t be that bothered as i only play once per patch.
@@robertlaidlaw4592 Bruh are u serious, I NEVER SAID powercreep wouldn't happen in a year, I just said HoYo wouldn't make it fast enough that E2S1 Acheron would be unplayable in that time because it would tank their sales. Maybe they will, and if they do they're stupid, but I think if we assume they aren't totally idiots about their profits they won't. Also, how come YOU can just, NOT care about endgame, but when I make a comment about it (trying to give people advice BTW, NOT just complaining) you tell me I should just play another, completely different game? I already play Genshin BTW, probably more than HSR, so your point is irrelevant anyways, but still.
My Quantum and Ice DPS are lacking for my account, and I can still do fine with Gallagher and Fu Xuan as Sustains. As for the Harmony department, I am good. Got Asta, Tingyun, Bronya, Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Robin for that.
I would always bet on investing vertically into superbreak, especially if you already have FF E2. Additionally, even if it gets 'nerfed' it's too unlikely that both sides of MoC or AS would feature bosses that counter superbreak (like boss SAM funnily enough). So, I would look for E1 Ruan Mei, Fugue, then Lingsha E1 (for the def shred/ignore). Otherwise, vertical investment feels very bad, due to sunk cost. It's a fallacy people fall for and for good reason. It feels bad going for E2S1 Acheron, and barely use her. However, if you really prioritize comfort, vertical investment is vastly superior to horizontal due to one major flaw in horizontal investment: The stress of building new units and farming for their relics. A heavily invested superbreak team can carry one half of all MoC/PF/AS so hard, that the other team can be subpar and you'll 3 star it anyways. FuA may be strong, but it's subpar on auto, meaning it's not as comfy.
I get like auto-clearing your trivial daily stuff.. but the idea that someone wants to make sure they can auto-clear the end game content instead of having to manually do it once every like FORTY DAYS is pretty outrageous.
@@Tryphikik yea, like i think auto clear for end game content is for like... e6r5 people who whale, but normally if you play the game you want to... play the game
I am only sad i missed out on Lingsha coz she didn't wanna come home but got rappa instead but then again if its break plus AOE i wouldn't mind that too. Wpuld be going for Sunday or Fugue next depending on who they can fill in since i have like the top 3 meta already (Acheron, Firefly, FeiXiao) with some other fun teams like Counter FUA, SPD FUA , DoT etc....😂
6:05 This I totally agree. Before I'm saving for E2 Acheron (currently E0), but now I don't think it's worth it when Sunday and Fugue is just after her rerun banner. Moreso that I comfortably 3* all end game content with Feixiao Fua and Super Break Himeko, also have a good Hypercarry and Acheron team. Diversifying my account and preparing for the next meta is what I think I need right now.
Dude i was thinking the same thing. and when i checked the video was out 4 hours ago . xD hilarious Im glad im not the only one who realized this. hahaha made my day
I don't like meta characters, but I have all limited harmonies except Sparkle. I experiment with what I have. Kafka / Himeko in a super break. I use brute force with Ratio, where possible. Yuan with Herta. And so on. My rule is: Play while it's fun.
Everyone is like: yo u need Acheron and FF 🥴🥴 and there is me who started to play because of Yuan and stayed for Sunday, my dream will come true, cuz I can play my fav chars in the same team and they match eachother, ty hsr❤ I love Tingyun so I'm a bit sad too now cuz she is a simple FF support, I don't understand why FF needed another bias support why can't they make a support for Blade or someone else... Ofc cuz of marketing I know but it's sad
If I Love jing yuan a lot, is it worth it to invest into him more to keep him viable or should I just give up and get a better unit? because I love using him so much but he is so hard to use
Get Sunday. Our General is about to pop off. You can also try to farm a domain with FUA relics that also has a good second set for a character you are interested in for example, then it's never really wasted investment.
I've reached a point in my account, which I believe is true for majority of day one players, where, no matter what Hoyo throws at me, I have a way around it even though I might not have the character being pushed (generally my "way around" is just Yunli doing a fuck ton of damage but I digress). I don't have Firefly, Feixiao, Acheron, Aventuine, Lingsha, and I still clear everything with comfort, and to be honest, I'm just pulling on every single banner because I want to build new characters. I'm really tired of logging in every day and trying to get one more roll into crit damage on that specific piece of that specific set that in the end is gonna result in a 1% DPS increase. This games gets really boring when you don't get new characters, since the only thing left to do is relic grinding, which in my opinion is one of my worst experiences in any game I've played. Just knowing that I have something different to do when I log in makes me pull anything on banner unless its some really dogshit banners like Jade or a Blade rerun
@fullcrackalchemist I don't get depressed from it, I really like the core gameplay, it's just the daily grind that bores me a lot, but since I just put in on auto and go do something else its not a big deal as I made it seem like in my comment, don't worry
I feel the same, I have 2 accounts, I collect my fav chars on my main acc I don't even pull for their bias supports but sometimes I can pull for one of them if favs don't come consecutively like Argenti and Sunday (2.3-2.7). I've made the other acc for Acheron cuz she reminds me of my old Onmyoji main, I use that acc for fun absolutely, I don't really grind for godly builds just pull for chars I don't have on my main acc and it makes it even better that my luck is insane there. I wouldn't play that acc if I lose 50/50s there but because I get a new lim 5* in almost every patch it motivates me.
I have all harmony in the game with ruan mei e1, and i have the follow-up team. Except advanturin should I get him or should i get acharon don't have any sustain execpt gallager and gebard and i have selver wolf but no jiaoqui
What even is pulling for Meta. Do I have the character? No? Guess I'm pulling for them. Just missing Luocha, Blade, Topaz, and Archeron. I got everyone else but these were 50/50 losses.
I got other games to play. I'm open to auto clearing endgame. Genshin, Wuwa, TFT, LoL, LoR, Now also Pokemon Pocket and Bloons Cardstorm. And there are still other games I'm trying to play like Black Myth Wukong and Hades 2
Ngl, it's a sustain issue for me. I can't play Acheron because she always dies first. Still working on relics so Aventurine is definitely a must pull for me.
I know some people say that Fu Xuan has fallen off and she isn't worth pulling anymore, but I still feel no desire to pull Aventurine. I havent struggled even slightly with Fu Xuan. She brings a lot of my characters up to 100% crit rate thanks to her skill. And even in this MoC that's bullt for break effect characters like Rappa I was still able to 1-cycle against Hoolay with my follow-up attack Feixiao team. I have no need for Aventurine, even if he is amazing, and so long as I continue to do 2-cycles or less in MoC stages I feel no desire to get new 5-star sustains when I could instead get a harmony or nihility character to help skyrocket the damage of my other characters.
I'm so torn between Acheron (without a Jiaoqiu), or just keeping Jing Yuan and hoping he gets a specialized support (not schizo). Lightning sides in PF and MOC are my worst by far.
I generally don't pull for eidolons only limited eidolon I got was an accident and it was seele in her first banner my characters can do a lot more dmg but I'm happy with having 48 different characters (I'm not a whale I'm a day one player I took some breaks so I have 435 active days and I got like 8 montly and 5 bp so I'm not f2p and I also only lost 4 50/50)
I really don't know what I should do i was planning on pulling for acherons lightcone but I don't think I have enough savings for both 😢, but I feel like she's probably going to be power crept soon anyways because of 3.0 and mine being e0 im stuck idk?
bruh tell me you looked at the leaks without telling me, "maybe we get Crit buffing + Energy buffing (= sunday) or Exo thougness break support (= Fugue ) "
I have seele, jing yuan, Jade, imbibitor lunae, ruan mei, black swan, acheron, firefly, rappa, fexiao, topez, ratio, huo huo, fu xuan, please tell me on which meta should i follow? (I personally want to follow break and summon meta) Edit: all of them are E0S0 and i am an f2p
you could def do a break team and a summon team !! firefly, ruan mei, hmc, and gallagher (you could pull for fugue if you want to buff this team) for break. jing yuan, tingyun, sunday (the it harmony for summon chars), and huo huo for summons !
if they make a quantum hypercarry that doeesn't have modified spd and actually got buffed from other character with the same type regardless of the path, sparkle will have another team other than dhil.
Personally until they release another unit that gives back skill points, I don’t think sparkle will ever be a bad hyper carry. Switching over to other teams and realizing “oh crap I can’t heal, shield or buff” because lack of skill points reminds me how awesome sparkle is
I think so 💀. Robin is already better than her in every single team Sparkle can be in except DHIL. Still a good support but never the optimal choice We need a new strong quantum dps with high skill point consumption to bring her back into favor over Robin/Ruan Mei/Sunday.
No, no. She is not doomed. But as the other commenter here said, she is still very good but not the best or optimal. For sure you being E2S1 already bringa so much value. No need to feel bad about her. Sunday is definitely looking like a better base unit though, but that doesn't make Sparkle bad.

How does brake damage scale?
😂 at this point, I don't really NEED anyone. I just pull for whoever I like. There's no point pulling for a character I'm not interested in.
I love these videos thank you for interacting with us EOD
My Quantum and Ice DPS are lacking for my account,
and I can still do fine with Gallagher and Fu Xuan as Sustains.
Fua is subpar on auto cuz of Robin 😂
I dont get players that build teams just to auto clear, are they even playing the game?
I get like auto-clearing your trivial daily stuff.. but the idea that someone wants to make sure they can auto-clear the end game content instead of having to manually do it once every like FORTY DAYS is pretty outrageous.
@@Tryphikik yea, like i think auto clear for end game content is for like... e6r5 people who whale, but normally if you play the game you want to... play the game
Not as many people have time like you... Let them enjoy their playstyle.
They enjoy the team building aspect and collection but not the gameplay. Simple as.
Fr, thinking what strategy to use is so fun on this game lol, but they just turn off their brain and auto play.
LEAKS WARNING
fugue is a break/super break support and sunday is a hypercarry/summons support !!
Meta
As long as the buffs on any end game is not only favoring to DOT, I'm good,
because I don't have a DOT team right now.😅
It is also important to max levels of characters because elemental reactions also scales from character level
i'm at a point where my ff and acheron can deal with pretty much anything regardless of weakness so i'm just waiting for the next big thing
I really find it funny how creators pretend they don't read leaks 😂 4:07
Dude i was thinking the same thing. and when i checked the video was out 4 hours ago . xD hilarious
Im glad im not the only one who realized this. hahaha made my day
I don't like meta characters, but I have all limited harmonies except Sparkle.
I experiment with what I have. Kafka / Himeko in a super break. I use brute force with Ratio, where possible. Yuan with Herta. And so on.
My rule is: Play while it's fun.
Everyone is like: yo u need Acheron and FF 🥴🥴
and there is me who started to play because of Yuan and stayed for Sunday, my dream will come true, cuz I can play my fav chars in the same team and they match eachother, ty hsr❤
I love Tingyun so I'm a bit sad too now cuz she is a simple FF support, I don't understand why FF needed another bias support why can't they make a support for Blade or someone else...
I don't think continuing to play the game is healthy is you're just getting depressed from it, maybe you should take a break or try other games
HSR has officially become the Honkai: Powercreep Rail.
Hats off brothers o7
Spoiler alert: SIKE! As if it hasn't ever since the beginning 🤪
😐
After Sunday, Fugue, and Herta, I'm just skipping everything for the Fate collab
almost same here, going for aventurine, Sunday and herta, then skip until the Archer e Saber
you say that now, but hoyo will do their best to tempt you xD
Every time I think I'm ready to start skipping characters, they find a way to get me.
@@steel7468 real
Getting Aventurine, my second Acheron Eidolon and then saving for the colab myself! 🎉
I have all harmony in the game with ruan mei e1, and i have the follow-up team. Except advanturin should I get him or should i get acharon don't have any sustain execpt gallager and gebard and i have selver wolf but no jiaoqui
his acheron could use a c.dmg chest cuz e1 acheron along with 4pc relic set, 2 pc izume and sparkle (if has sig) give out around 35% crit rate
How would Sunday benefit this account?
i too will “om nom nom” the game’s content easily one day
I know some people say that Fu Xuan has fallen off and she isn't worth pulling anymore, but I still feel no desire to pull Aventurine.
Charmony Dove
He will be getting a good support soon.
Rule #1 Always go for supports first
Rule #2 Read back rule #1
I generally don't pull for eidolons only limited eidolon I got was an accident and it was seele in her first banner my characters can do a lot more dmg but I'm happy with having 48 different characters
(I'm not a whale I'm a day one player I took some breaks so I have 435 active days and I got like 8 montly and 5 bp so I'm not f2p and I also only lost 4 50/50)
acheron e1 s1 , black swan e1 s0 , kafka e1 s1 adventurine s1. works like magic to me
I really don't know what I should do i was planning on pulling for acherons lightcone but I don't think I have enough savings for both 😢, but I feel like she's probably going to be power crept soon anyways because of 3.0 and mine being e0 im stuck idk?
bruh tell me you looked at the leaks without telling me, "maybe we get Crit buffing + Energy buffing (= sunday) or Exo thougness break support (= Fugue ) "
I really want first dibs on remembrance, but that means a possible skip on fugue😢
Firefly is not a must, Boothill is a great alternative. In Pure Fiction, I have Himeko/Herta instead of Boothill.
Diagonal is always better because Pythagoras.
Why does Hoolay sound like Coolaid lmao
I have seele, jing yuan, Jade, imbibitor lunae, ruan mei, black swan, acheron, firefly, rappa, fexiao, topez, ratio, huo huo, fu xuan, please tell me on which meta should i follow? (I personally want to follow break and summon meta)
Edit: all of them are E0S0 and i am an f2p
you could def do a break team and a summon team !! firefly, ruan mei, hmc, and gallagher (you could pull for fugue if you want to buff this team) for break. jing yuan, tingyun, sunday (the it harmony for summon chars), and huo huo for summons !
@@breakingskyThanks mate
So is Sparkle doom ? Because Sunday looks too good to be compare to heẻ. Speaking from a sparkle e2s1 owner😢😢😢
if they make a quantum hypercarry that doeesn't have modified spd and actually got buffed from other character with the same type regardless of the path, sparkle will have another team other than dhil.
Still a good support but never the optimal choice
We need a new strong quantum dps with high skill point consumption to bring her back into favor over Robin/Ruan Mei/Sunday.
No, no. She is not doomed. But as the other commenter here said, she is still very good but not the best or optimal. For sure you being E2S1 already bringa so much value. No need to feel bad about her. Sunday is definitely looking like a better base unit though, but that doesn't make Sparkle bad.
The account is so similar to mine except i dont spend a single dime and don't have blade. 🙃
"Late game player" first thing I saw is SAMPO LVL 1 C6 bruh this dude 💀💀
first comment fell off on gambler fallacy
