Mr. Washer, you have been an incredible person for me. I stumbled through many teachings and heard a lot of messages. Then one day on youtube, your sermons stood out from the crowd and made sense to my soul. It was hard, but it was right, and I knew it. Since then, I look to you as a source, as a male role model who loves the principles of the Lord. I just wanted to stop by and say thank you. My very best, Cesar

It's encouraging to see the work that God has done, is doing, and will continue to do in Brother Paul's life. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
    Ephesians 5:1‭-‬2

Brother Paul may Elohim continue adding more life to you, may He add more wisdom to you. Your teachings have helped me to learn and I continue learning to fear Elohim and learn to love Him. Stay blessed. By the have also enrolled at Lusaka Ministerial College in theology.

Pastor Paul although I was born into very pious background, I think I still understand what you’re saying in a intellectual way.
As matter of fact I was so lonely that I used to hope that I wasn’t a Christian. But I can’t. I used to be a huge fan of Dr.Peterson. However when I knew he has been in a hospital suffering from his depression. And then I didn’t know who I am gonna following. I found out your video. To be honest there’s a conflict in my mind. I was particularly lonely in university there are not many people who can share my conviction. I am afraid if my God requires more. At the same time I want to meet Paul Washer’s God. I’m not a native speaker nor am I very fluent English. Sorry for my sentences

Hi! First I wanna thank you so much because Brother Paul has helped me learn a lot. Second, I have a question. I’ve been watching this pastor lately, you most likely know him. He preaches on something called “Christian Hedonism”. And I listen to him talk about joy in Christ. And not being most satisfied with things of this world such as money, pornography, or even good things such as food, family or activities. And when I heard him mention not being most satisfied in food, family, and activities (things I very much enjoy), it makes me wonder if they have become an idol in my life. I love my family and food and I enjoy going out and doing activities, like many do, but I find it hard to discern when something becomes an idol, because it’s so easy for good things to become idols, and it makes me very very worried. Since I love being with my family, now I just wanna isolate myself because I’m fearful of them becoming an idol. And I wanna isolate myself because I’m scared of activities becoming an idol. And I just wanna fast from food because I want to make sure food isn’t an idol. I don’t want to be some pharisaical legalist (as Brother Paul calls it) but at the same time I wanna make sure God is first in my life, and the center of all things. I feel like I don’t love Christ as I ought. Maybe I’ve been listening to too much hard preaching, but the pastor I listen to says that it’s a normal fight for joy in Christ, and not joy from something else. And it makes me feel like I shouldn’t enjoy anything of this world (the good things I’ve mentioned). And when I’m in these really rough spiritual battles it makes me feel joyless. And if it’s a normal fight for joy in Christ, then I feel like I’ll never have joy because it’s really hard to find joy when I’m in these battles (and it’s a constant battle). I wanna find joy in Christ, through battles and hard times, because joy is through suffering and hardships.I am very privileged to be a Christian in America, but at the same time it’s soo hard because there’s so much Hersey in Churches and most of my family are professing “Christians”...and lets just say I can definitely tell by their fruits that that’s false. I have Christian friends I’ve met over the internet and recently have just found a Bible teaching church but I just really want some advice for this because I’m only 14 and It’s hard to get biblical counsel. How do I know when something good such as family, food, or activities has become an idol? How can I have victory over this battle? And how can I glorify God through these things? Is it by knowing that God has provided that food, or thanking Him for my family? Or thanking Him for being allowed to do fun things? I would greatly appreciate it if you responded🙏.

      Dear sister,
You posted this a year ago, but I just saw your message now. Anything can become and idol even yourself. But just because you enjoy something doesn't mean it's an idol. For example, I love to draw but Christ is much more important than a hobby of mine. That doesn't mean I have to stop drawing completely just because I love it, but that I must keep Christ first, and I know with His help I can. Yes, we must keep examining ourselves and we will still have to fight against our flesh until Jesus returns. I also struggle to make sure God is first in my heart, to remember that Christ is first, even from my family. But remember, He will finish the good work He started in you. I will be praying for you.
