Hello Barry, I just wanted to tell you how much I love your channel. I spent 25 years in restaurant kitchens and you have brought the joy of cooking back to me. Many thanks
This cake looks amazing! Thanks Barry! You are one of the best here on UA-cam and you deserve all the love and suport from your fans. Lots of hugs from Norway.
Hob Nobs are my favourite biscuits of all time. I am so damn glad that they sell them here in the Czech republic. I once had a whole package for lunch because I didn't have anything else at hand. I love them so much.
I made a three layered chocalte orange cake the other day. I placed the Terry's chocalte orange around the edges instead as it makes it easier to cut a nice slice. Deffo going to give this cheese cake ago.
I saw that hair but don't worry!! Anyone who has animals has hair EVERYWHERE. Find my cats hair in pots and pans ALL the time. (I always wash things first.) Could probably make another cat with the hair I've found in my food from my cat.
I remembered the old oven we use to have when you mentioned that you had to light the hob with a match... we use to have to light the hob and the oven with a match, and the oven was quite deep so you had to practically crawl into it, with the gas on, to light it! Glad we got it replaced very quickly!
Oh my gosh! That looks amazing! I can't say that I have ever seen let alone tasted a chocolate orange, but they look interesting. Your home looks beautiful, I really like how it came together. Oh, and don't pay no attention to the haters, you have much more positive and faithful subscribers than negative ones. Can't wait to see where this channel goes.
Barry, love the videos and this recipe is definitely going to be made at my house. I too would get a Terry's chocolate orange every Christmas morning, until Mom passed away. It was several years ago when I found another one in my stocking and it was put there by my beautiful Daughter who is continuing the tradition for me every year. Thanks for the awesome recipes. Glad I subscribed
Hello from Australia!! I am in the hospital right now because I just had a kidney transplant haha and it's 2:45am here and I am watching My Virgin Kitchen's no bake choc orange cheesecake recipe and this makes me feel like hospital food sucks to the other galaxy and back...
Can't wait to try this so yummy looking cheesecake which is my favorite type of dessert😄plus the Orange chocolate is going to be over the top for me! Hope you and your family and friends had a awesome vacation!! You needed it 😉😁
NEED to make this, I'm like homer(in the background) dribbling at the mouth when he see donuts. For a cheaper alternative for the Terry's chocolate orange, you can buy a bag of chocolate orange segments in aldi, like a share bag 👌🏼😍😋
Barry, I have been a long time viewer and your video's are great! I just wanted to ask you, could you possibly make a video on making some healthy quick foods aka soup or whatnot! I am on a diet and would like some help picking things to eat! You don't have to but would be cool! keep up the great work! Mr_Mouse - Seb
WOW you made it !!! Since I know your channel I always was asking for Terry's orange chocolate recipes !! It's quite difficult to find some here in France, but I'll do my best in order to do this astonishing cheesecake !!! Thanks Barry !!
Regarding your new dishwasher, Barry... When I moved to my new place almost a decade ago, we found that we had a dishwasher. However, we prefer to hand-wash things, so it was largely ignored for a long while. After a couple of years, however, we got the idea to use the dishwasher as a dish *rack* for wet dishes. It really cleared some counter space, doing that.
Hi Mr Barry, I have made this recipe for my husband and it went down a storm, I was just wondering if I could use this as a base but change the flavours was think of a mint chocolate one next 😋😋😋
Mmmm really looking forward to trying this, chocolate oranges are my favourite 👅 great video, thanks for all the amazing videos, love your content, always really easy to follow recipes but so impressive and delicious. I love how your channel is more fun and natural than some UA-cam chefs, you always seem to be enjoying the food and your personality is really great unlike some cooks who come across a little robotic. You and sortedfood are my favourites, it must be in the name because Barry is my favourite from sorted too haha 👍🏻😅 x
Where has this recipe been all my life!! I've recently tried to make my own at home before finding your recipe Barry and it failed so badly :'( ... I will definitely be giving this a try :)
In my opinion if u add more butter it doesn’t make it greasy it just makes the base hold better because if you use the small amount like he did the base can crumble quite easily.
I wish I knew where I could get chocolate oranges here in Germany. They were around 20 years ago but seem to have disappeared. I always bring some back whenever I visit the UK.
The best bit of a Terrys Chocolate Orange, used to be the 'core' of chocolate that used to run down the middle. I notice that that seems to have disappeared now. They also made a lemon flavoured one, which was nicer than the orange. Sadly, it didn't last.
If you decide to use a ginger, be careful, as they might carmelize while baking. That said, a goat milk cheesecake is ABSOLUTE. HEAVEN. If you get the chance, make/try one. I've only had a lemon custard with lavender garnish, but IT. WAS. DELICIOUS.
I probably should add that goat dairy products have a strong, nearly overpowering flavor, so if you don't like goat, you are going to despise the cake. I love goat cheese, and lemon custard is just sweet enough to compliment the bitterness(?) of the goat.
I did a selection of cheesecakes for GCSE foodtech , with a jam or jelly filling. Wouldn't advise the jelly, the consistentcy was very confusing. (ginger, orange jelly and philli) I think the jam was alright, a bit too runny (digestive, raspberry jam, phili). Would consider marmalade maybe instead specially if you can make a whiskey marmalade (rum doesn't work as it's made from sugar, I think) with gingernuts and philli. Might work with chocolate as well :)
I wish I would like orange candied peel or orange with chocolate, these chocolate oranges look awesome and also can i do these recipes you make with orange peel or something like that also without it or does it taste boring then?
Hi Barry I have around your channel for quite awhile.. i wanted to try this recipe but I can't seem to find double cream in singapore. is there other alternative cream that I can use? also for the 350g chocolate, is the normal calbury chocolate do just fine or should I use the baking chocolate instead? thanks! love your videos :)
If you bake the base, then how it was done here is OK. If I make a no-bake cheesecake, I put a circle of parchment paper down first. It makes it easier to keep everything in place when removing from the form and when serving.
I've made this cheesecake on Sunday for my brothers birthday. I didn't have terry's chocolate oranges but I had sugar with orange zest and aroma. The cheesecake is fenomenal and super yummy. The only thing I'm worried about is that 150g of icing sugar is way too much. I used Milka'a milk chocolate and in the end the cheesecake was a bit too sweet. Will it be okay to cut down the amount of icing sugar to 2 or 3 tablespoons? Also, I used mascarpone cheese instead of regular one.
This popped up on the front page, and I'm SO glad that it did! We don't have Hobnob cookies here in the U.S., so I'm thinking ginger snaps would work? If I can, I'm going to give it a go for Thanksgiving! Thank you for a great recipe! :)
you should send that cream cheese company this video and just be like: this could have been your product placement but you didn't want it this gorgeous Barry way
Jamie Moore - no we don't celebrate it here, but it's nice to afford our American cousins the courtesy of wishing them a Happy Independence Day. So, best wishes to all you Americans xx
+ Joanne Grey Thanks Joanne. :) I'm American, and I appreciated your thoughts. :) We need all the best wishes we can get right now and for the next 3 1/2 years. I'm American but not celebrating today. I don't know anybody who is. The general feeling here today and in the weeks leading up to it has been like a funeral. At work, in class, on campus, in town, everywhere, if anyone brings up the holiday, all go silent and look down awkwardly until some brave person breaks the silence by changing the subject. We're all too scared, so many effects all around us, so many families being hurt, we can't see anything to celebrate. But it's good to know people in other countries are sending us kind thoughts. :) You can be sure that in 2021 we'll celebrate when this is all over! :)
Julie Anna I wrote the original message and I totally understand where you are coming from. I was just sending Barry a nice message. My one point would be... this won't all be over in 2021. The damage won't just go away when he is gone. This is a fight that continues for years or even decades potentially. Don't get complacent in the future. We need to stay on tops of things to prevent this ever happening again.
I made a cheescake a while ago with a similar recipe that didn't set. Would it be because i didn't whip the cream? The recipe i used didn't mention whipping it and just said to add it to the cheese.

Hello Barry, I just wanted to tell you how much I love your channel. I spent 25 years in restaurant kitchens and you have brought the joy of cooking back to me. Many thanks
Thank you for being so kind and keeping the channel professional, without redundant- unfitted ads :)
5:27 there was an hair in the bowl
That's his secret ingredient. The oil from the hair really adds to the cream.
I was like: "no! don't do it pls, no, NO, NOOOOOOOO!"
Saw that one too
The moment when he started whisking tho O.O
i was just about to say the same! but i suppose it adds a little bit of danger to each slice.
this combines all the foods i love, cheesecake, hobnobs, chocolate orange, it's all there. I have to try this one!
This cake looks amazing! Thanks Barry! You are one of the best here on UA-cam and you deserve all the love and suport from your fans. Lots of hugs from Norway.
Our favourite dessert when we have visitors, thank you so much Barry for the recipe!
Hob Nobs are my favourite biscuits of all time. I am so damn glad that they sell them here in the Czech republic. I once had a whole package for lunch because I didn't have anything else at hand. I love them so much.
I love them too. New Zealand 🇳🇿
Top marks for presentation! I don't believe you are simply a home cook.... you've progressed so quickly over the years! This is one recipe I will try!
House with pets = hairs in food. It makes it authentic. :)
Callie Masters Absolutely! I have cats, and there's always at least one hair snuck in there somewhere.
I love chocolate oranges so much. I know they make raspberry and mint ones and others too, but the oranges are the absolute best.
We love our cats too....and those extra special lil' hairs give our food a bit more zing! ;)
I remembered the old oven we use to have when you mentioned that you had to light the hob with a match... we use to have to light the hob and the oven with a match, and the oven was quite deep so you had to practically crawl into it, with the gas on, to light it! My sister makes this all the time.. She's got me hooked. Gonna make it myself right now 😍
this is perfect for my grandmas birthday! this was our favorite to share at christmas time!
Barry, love the videos and this recipe is definitely going to be made at my house. I too would get a Terry's chocolate orange every Christmas morning, until Mom passed away. KamenRiderAnt thanks sooooo much!! Already a better life!!
I love your sense of humor! You are a rockstar! Hope you busting through life with joy and health 🙏🧡
In South Africa we mostly use Tennis biscuits for crust. It a buttery, coconut biscuit. Very nice.
Hobnobs 😛
I get a chocolate orange every Christmas too! I get it in my stocking😋 they're SO good😍
Omg I LOOOVE the middle of the chocolate orange
Thanks Barry, will definitely have to give it a try.
Can't wait to try this one. Looks amazing and delicious. Well done.
Looks yummy, I'll have to make this for my Mum!
Hello from Montreal Canada. Cant wait to get your book... i pre ordered it last week. Love your channel, keep up the great work.👍
+Jean-Luc Blain thanks a bunch

Barry, I have been a long time viewer and your video's are great! I just wanted to ask you, could you possibly make a video on making some healthy quick foods aka soup or whatnot! I am on a diet and would like some help picking things to eat!

Im going to make this for my bbq desert the weekend 👍
Barry the sound of you grating the zest on the cheesecake made my guinea pigs squeak with excitement!
To press it all evenly, use a flat-bottomed glass. It really helps getting the bottom and edges all even.
Looks yummy! You could do a similar cake with after eights, very nice too.
Your food creations always look so delicious! Keep up the yummy work! ❤️
Looks fabulous thanks
Yay Mrs. Barry finally got her dishwasher!
Regarding your new dishwasher, Barry... When I moved to my new place almost a decade ago, we found that we had a dishwasher. that looks sooooo yummy
Terrys chocolate orange is such a traitional british thing for christmas!!!
Just as I was about to comment on how much I like the buttery biscuit base...
In Canada we can only get the Terry's chocolate oranges around Christmas time from the first of December until about the 5th of January.
Homer doesn't approve of a single thing in this video and it's cracking me up 😂
In my opinion if u add more butter it doesn’t make it greasy it just makes the base hold better because if you use the small amount like he did the base can crumble quite easily.
I make a mean baileys and strawberry cheesecake baked alaska. It's as tasty as it sounds!
I wish I knew where I could get chocolate oranges here in Germany. They were around 20 years ago but seem to have disappeared. I always bring some back whenever I visit the UK.
I like the base, base, base, base
the buttery biscuit base.
NOOOOO YOU COVERED THE STICKER ON THE WALL ABOUT THE SMOKE ALARM! Loved that saying 😂
+Sean Dunne I'm gonna get a new one plus there's a new studio coming to fully kit out with stuff like that
I would love to be able to come and cook with you , bet your a right laugh in the kitchen Barry :)

Brilliant video Barry
My boyfriend would be so happy if i made this for his birthday next week. Sometimes I think he might love Terrys chocolate orange more than me..
5:27 Watch me whip - Me: " *NOOO!!!!!!!! STOP!!!! There´s a hair in your creaaaaaaaaaam!!!!!* "
... Barry pulls the trigger ... Today was a sad day.
+Progwale it's ok I removed it after wards between takes luckily

Food looks good Barry. By the way, Happy 4th from Lincoln, Nebraska

Barry you could replace the icing sugar with condensed milk it gives you much better flavour plus the sweetness!
I can’t bake, but I’m so gonna try to make this to take to my parents at Christmas!
That is so pretty!
u can get chocolate orange digestives from tesco and they work well
i like the base base base
Omg those chocolate oranges! I have to taste them! Barry where can I buy them?
yessssssss number 1 fan 🤘🤘
Hi Barry I have around your channel for quite awhile.. i wanted to try this recipe but I can't seem to find double cream in singapore. is there other alternative cream that I can use? also for the 350g chocolate, is the normal calbury chocolate do just fine or should I use the baking chocolate instead? thanks! love your videos :)
Not even watch the video but I can say it's awesomeeee!!!
+Alanas Burdulis wow
I love that
Thanks for the update on the new book coming to Amazon Canada. Will the first book be coming to?
Yelling at the screen "Sneak a slice of the chocolate orange!!"
If you bake the base, then how it was done here is OK. If I make a no-bake cheesecake, I put a circle of parchment paper down first. It makes it easier to keep everything in place when removing from the form and when serving.
Can you substitute the whipped cream with Cornish cream/curdled cream?
could you add orange zest to the chocolate filling ? for taste or would it over power the chocolate?
I've made this cheesecake on Sunday for my brothers birthday. I didn't have terry's chocolate oranges but I had sugar with orange zest and aroma. The cheesecake is fenomenal and super yummy. i wish we had chocolate oranges in singapore >
Can I freeze it ,and eat it a few weeks latter ,thinking about party ,Christmas ,would be nice to have one in the freezer,xx
Ginger biscuits are great for lemon meringue.
I've actually found biscuits somewhere here in America, but I think there's only one or two brands. So this is still possible for me :D
Homer doesn't look excited about the wait time😂😂😂
This popped up on the front page, and I'm SO glad that it did! We don't have Hobnob cookies here in the U.S., so I'm thinking ginger snaps would work? If I can, I'm going to give it a go for Thanksgiving! Thank you for a great recipe! :)
I was thinking orange thins. But I want to make the filling thicker also, so was considering adding more cream cheese.
you should send that cream cheese company this video and just be like: this could have been your product placement but you didn't want it this gorgeous Barry way
If there is collaboration I would fancy seeing is you and Jamie Oliver doing bit baking and cooking segment
Happy 4 July from South Africa
thanks. South Africa's cool. I know a guy from there.
Happy 4th of July from Boston! (The city, not the dog!)
My Food Trek we dont celebrate it in the uk
Jamie Moore Obviously, but Barry has a history with the US and Boston specifically. It's just intended as a nice gesture.

hello, what kind of soft cheese did you use? is it philadelhpia or mascarpone?
I made a cheescake a while ago with a similar recipe that didn't set. Would it be because i didn't whip the cream? The recipe i used didn't mention whipping it and just said to add it to the cheese.
Barry you're awsome
