What are your thoughts on Big City Greens movie?
I'm suprised about how much I liked it. I knew I would like it but I already rewatched it once it ended. It's that good lolol. Also quite poetic that the pilot episode focused on launching a chicken to space and here cricket is sending him and his family to space.
I actually made a poll for peoples opinions on the movie somehow most people hated it
I thought it was hilarious. It was definitely a strong story, but I personally see Big City Greens as a series that specializes in comedy.

I am a massive big city greens fan and I came away from this movie preety disappointed like the reason I love this show is Becuse how on par it would be to some of my family’s exeperience moving from country to city and chip whisler should have been the most the show could have gone far and tbh I think this movie the animation was great the Writing ok but I wanted somthing more to do about the city on chip again I think the movie would have excelled if it was the green family vs chip one last time
I think what's cool is we were always hinted at space being a place we'd visit like the Halloween episode with the alien pumpkins. Such good continuity.
Also Gwendolyn's motivation is so unbelievably petty and I ate it up😂😂😂. It's so true to her character

I watched the movie last night, it was incredible! It looked amazing, it had pretty good songs, and I can not wait for more of the main series!
I litterally did the same! This movie was awsome way beyond what I could imagine....the scene in the dark empty vaccum of space made me tear like I didnt since Spinel's backstory was revealed in the SU movie

Gwendolyn Zapp was one of my favorite side-characters, I love how she was used in the movie. She's almost like this Hank Scorpio type where she has no real beef with the main characters, but she's also a complete sociopath who doesn't care about who she hurts.
While I DO agree that Cricket causes a lot of the chaos in the show, he can't take ALL the blame for what happened.
He only went on the space trip because of his dad taking the coward's way out on their vacation. Seriously...as much as Cricket causes a lot of problems on the show, Bill only makes them worse by either being a coward, being easily persuaded or forcing his "passion" for farming on other people
Like living vicariously through them.

Also the movie shows that Bill has a tendency to shut down Cricket's ideas, which as crazy as they are, isn't the best thing for a kid.

I would also say the conflict is partially Bill’s fault because dude just struggles so much with compromising. Don’t get me wrong I’ve watched BCGs up to Chipoaclypse and little afterward; I know Cricket cause a good chunk of the conflict, but I remember the episode when Bill tricked them into getting a family photo instead of the food court.
Bill is just as stubborn and sometimes as selfish as cricket. Nancy summed it up perfectly. Both mean well for thr family they just go about it differently

As someone who’s been following Big City Greens for a while I really enjoyed this movie
Also I’m like 88% sure the farmbot with a banjo is a reference to Wander Over Yonder because they have the same voice actor as Wander and Wander played a banjo 4:07

Big city greens spacecation was amazing! Funny, very well writtten and had a whole bunch of heart to it. I can honestly say that confrontation between cricket and bill, even by the context of the series, was a longtime coming. Cricket's "i don't like you" packed so much weight. And man, can i just say how much i hate how catchy these songs are 😂😂😂. Green family vacation has been stuck in my head for days.
Overall, one of the best DCOMs ever made. It ranks #6 for me

Gwendolyn Zapp is so much funnier here than I remember her being in the show thanks to the design tweaks allowing more room for expression and dynamic posing, which you can tell the artists were more than happy to go to town on.
In general, I applaud anything that's able to make a corrupt tech mogul hilarious in a time when they are legit destroying our society.

Gwendolyn Zapp makes a great secondary antagonist behind Chipp Whistler

I've watched The Big City Green movie on Disney+ and it was just as Great as the series of Big City Greens and it was truly out of this World

I hate that the movie made Bill seem like he was in the wrong at snapping at Cricket when his kid, quite literally almost got him and his entire family killed.

personally i find Gwendolyn a better antagonist compared to chip and her getting her own movie to be her wacky self is just awesome!!! i love her soooo much!

Gwendolyn is like a different type of antagonist in that she has nothing against the main characters, she just accidentally puts them in danger and doesn't care if they live or die

Honestly it's the best, but it's seriously scary since they split away from space after that explosion, that was intense..but still best movie.
It was so good and funny. Agree the animation and songs are good. It was interesting that Bill and Cricket’s was put to the test and they both had a point. Bill had every right to be angry at Cricket for tricking them going as far as to freezing the commander and for his it’s about me attitude. So Bill had every right to put Cricket in his place. He was also right for safety and rules are rules. Cricket was right about doing the same thing every time, so he had good intentions and Bill not listening. The scenes where Cricket tells Bill he doesn’t like him and the song are such a heartbreaking scenes. The Nancy and Gloria subplot was nice. Gewendolyn Zapp being the villain was a total shock and a very good twist. I thought the commander was going to later be revealed to be Chip in disguise. Nice review.
Man I slept so hard on BCG s4 that I wasnt even aware that their big movie premiered 😭 I really need to catch up because this series has a special place in my heart alongside The Owl House and Amphibia

1:12 To be fair the movie is grounded in some science growing things in space is a thing and people do want to build hotels up there. The most unrealistic things are the car going to space and trash not burning up in the mesosphere.
I've already seen the movie 3 times now. I have no complaints. This movie is the icing on the cake (the series)
Welp, guess I know what I’m watching sometime this week when I have time. Was skeptical since I genuinely dislike the Ceo episodes but I trust the animation community and your view on this so I’ll absolutely be looking forward to it as much as when I first heard about it when I knew nothing about said movie.

I must say from the trailer. I saw. I was mad because I thought it was gonna completely tear up the shot. I really did think it was gonna be stupid because there was nothing of chip. And I thought it was gonna go wrong in every way. You might think, but actually it didn't because it showed something interesting with Gwendolyn. And that she might be above chip.Somebody behind the city and has been in the shadows.Somebody bigger far far bigger because she was always ignored.So of course I ignored her because she was just random but now i'm starting to realize she might be the real threat

Why was this the best movie ever?! Like it had amazing songs funny parts and some emotional like stuff I said but it is a really good movie 10/10 recommend it!

I think across the second dimension is still better, but this is a close second. Mainly because it does fall into the trap of a slice of life-ish show doing some crazy outlandish plot, while with phineas and ferb it isn’t super jarring
This Movie CAN NOT compare the Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension in any way, Especially not with the music.

Hm, I see, very interesting, good to know that this seemed to have turned out well.
So, what is this Movie supposed to be? A Finale to the Series or just a sort of turning point of some kind for the Series moving forward or just something that happened at some point within the Series?
The show is still going and has some ongoing narrative. They probably wanted the movie to be stand-alone so anyone could watch it without needing to be caught up on the series.
