Me: Brings a MintyPi to school and pretends it's just a regular Altoids tin
*Some call me the master of disguise*
😂😂😂
My school does not allow sweet tins...
@@jennybsweet2170 RIPPPPP
then hide it in a textbook lmaooo
Or hide on your shirts pocket
Hi retro Phix u deserve more subs!
ill try to help you
concerning the mat. Search Aliexpress. You should be able to find one that would fit your needs
You legit sound like Joe Rogan
lol
It cost 105 dollars!!
Everything is completely custom and hand built and ordered. It's definitely not a "cheap" solution, but for the work this team did developing it, it's a fair price!
"Doctor, my kid has been staring down an Altoids tin for an hour..."
quelorepario lol 😂 I laughed way to much when I sall this
“he’s imagining a “wa-hoo” and the “princess””
Great video man!! The fact this is all in an Altoids tin is awesome and makes me laugh 😂 can’t wait for the next video!
Thanks man! The Altoids tin is what drew me to it! Awesome design and great kit!
Just grabbed that repair mat after i watched this. Lost a screw last night taking my hard drive outa my laptop. Never again lol.
I love it, I didn't know it had magnetic sections, which is even better! It's smaller than I thought, but really high quality
If they make the screen touch and put thumbsticks it would be the holy gmail of emulation. I want to make a radaxa zero version
That would be awesome, I have no Idea how they'd fit thumbtacks in! Haha
@theretrophix8898 maybe like a cstick off of a 2ds or 3ds
Great video
Thanks for the guide. I used it to work this build with my son .
That's awesome
I wish they still sold the PCB’s.
Your video quality is akin to someone who has thousands of subs, not less than 100! There should be more channels like you!
Thank you kindly. I prefer quality over quantity. I make no money doing this, all for fun and enjoyment, hoping to share that with everyone that stops by
Only 191 subs? Damn. This is some seriously good content.
all it needs now is the analog sticks and the L3 and R3 buttons
Yeah! That's what I was saying. There is so much Systems that have analog sticks that I want to emulate. And u can replace the rpi zero with a radaxa zero. That would be the best thing I have ever thinked of
I know its been 4 years but...
Anyone knows if the process with a zero 2 W or another sbc with the same form factor is the same or at least similar?
Cool vid!!!
18:15 MARIO ARE YOU OKAY?
Could you help me install games and emulators with my build ?
Keep it up man you’ll make it big some day!
Thank you, it's definitely something I enjoy, hoping to get more content soon.
quiero una docena de ellos pero no se si está a la venta 😅😅
of course they are! check the forums
quiero una docena de ellos pero no se si está a la venta
great vid, i cant really solder and am bad with electronics. is there any way i could commission a prebuilt one, ive loved the mintypi since 2.0 but as stated above i cant exactly build one
Yes, as matter of fact, I'd be willing to do it. It's not an inexpensive project, but is an awesome design. One of a kind! Look up the links in the description and check out the parts and cost. Let me know if I can help you! Thanks for watching!
The Retro Phix cool thanks, youve earned a sub and how mucb money would it cost, i should be paid hopefully this week if not next week so i was wondering what to spend my first paycheck on and the mintypi is something ive always wanted to show off at school since mark 2
You're looking at 90$ for the electronics, 10$ for the battery, 56$ for 3d printed parts, add 5-10$ for RasberryPi and 3-10$ for Altoid tin... There is an optional case for the mintyPi as well.. so around 176$ for parts depending, but can be a little less if you choose certain colors. Add labor it's over 200$... I've heard of some people building them for 200$ to 250$ or around that price I think? You can check me on that if you go to sudomod.com and check the forums.
Upon checking it again, I see that someone is offering to solder everything, not a bad option either. But if you aren't comfortable building it yourself, paying for a pre-built one will insure peace of mind.
The Retro Phix thank you
...
Where did you order the multicolor buttons? Is there a standard button size or something that can be purchased? On sudomods site I ordered the plain white by he only has black and white currently.
Are there STL files for the 3D printed parts? I have a 3D printer and would like to make my own parts.

@The Retro Phix Thanks so much man!
How much does all of this cost?
Dependent on what you want there could be slight variation but here’s the basic rundown.
Helders game tech mintypi kit: 80$
Mintypi battery: 10$
Altoids tin (laser cut from helder): 10$
Raspberry pi zero w: 10$-20$
Button pcb: around 10$
3D printed frame for mintypi: 30$-40$
SD card to load retropie onto: varying price
Once I put it together with the kit will I have to go through the process of installing retro pie and all the consoles?
did you ever clean the flux off the PCB?
No, but I had to redo some work on it and I cleaned it later. Definitely a good idea!
How long did it take to ship?
Have to check with SudoMod to see when the kits are available on his site.
How do you transfer Roms on it? Do you need a computer?
Yes, look up how to add roms to a retro pi system
@@Tyler-ev7xq thanks I did I also learned you can transfer using your phone to which is helpful because I don't own a computer
Can you save progress on games?
Yes, you can "save state" at anytime.
The Retro Phix awesome, good to here. Great video man
Can I just like buy one of these? 😂😂😂 I’m only 10 so I can’t make it
www.sudomod.com/forum/
I would check the forums and see if anyone builds these to sell.
