I love cicada seasons I catch so many fish with them I've been catching them almost 40 years and using them as bait I'm 43 probably been using them since 5 years old I've caught everything on them

Cicadas are delicious when simply sautéed. Last time I cooked em, I just sautéed them in butter with garlic, pepper, and salt. They were amazing.

If anyone has any qualms about eating Cicadas, keep in mind they can live 9-17 YEARS underground just drinking tree sap. They are simply the purest insect you could ever eat. Better than shrimp!
The key is to cook them AFTER they molt, but BEFORE their carapace hardens and they can fly.
Different but cool would be good maybe chocolate covered like grasshopper thanks guys
