- Ellora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, India. There are over 100 caves at the site, all excavated from the basalt cliffs in the Charanandri Hills, 34 of which are open to public.
These consist of 17 Hindu (caves 13-29), 12 Buddhist (caves 1-12) and 5 Jain (caves 30-34) caves.
Cave 16 features the largest single monolithic rock excavation in the world, the Kailash temple, a chariot-shaped monument dedicated to the god Shiva.

After the Indus valley.. Aryan Era started.. this temple was built by Aryans (may be). After the Aryan Era started, so many temples were built in India by Alliens.. not by humans ( Aryans).
Parsi religion was there in North Idia before 10th century madam, later it transformed to Hindu religion. I think all these caves belongs to Sramana tradition ( Buddhist/ jainis etc). If Hindu (bhramans) constructed these caves, they might have described them in vedas/ puranas.
Vedas are older then these temples
@@frictionless0 vedas are translated into Sanskrit from Parsi language after construction of these temples..and purana are written during Islam dominance in India
@@kikum3067 And Lions bark and dogs meow. Btw you implying Islam promotes Idol worship?
@@sourabhtripathi6681 Nothing related ti Islam here....period...I.e medieval period
@@kikum3067 the carvings of puranic stories are present in the kailasa temple which is built in the 7th century how can you say puranas are written in medievel india ?
