What cozy mystery series do you want to start this year? :) Also, tier ranking thriller video is coming! It was supposed to be today's video, but I'm having some tech issues.
I just recently started a booktube channel and posted my cozy mystery bookshelf tour. I have a lot!🤦♀😂 I'm going to do a mini vlog series reading the first in a series to see if I want to continue in the series. I hope you enjoy all the ones you want to start!
I'm currently reading "Mystery Maid" by Hazel Smith. I'm dipping my toes into the world of reading, and this book has been an easy, enjoyable read to help me build consistency and get into the groove. I'm so happy I found you and other Cozy Mystery UA-camrs. This is the perfect hobby for me this year! I'm loving it and I do appreciate all the recommendations shared.
I just finished "Recipes for Love and Murder". I had the audiobook and it was nicely read with a South African accent and help on how to pronounce things. It was super charming, and there's recipes in the back and I'm going for the chocolate cakes. Humor and heart and I'm going to finish the rest of the series, they also adapted it for TV.
I started the Cat in the Stacks series a long time ago but it has been so long I don't remember anything except the cat's name. I also want to start the Beacon Bookshop series. I have so many series I want to start this year: Lakeside Library, The Deep Dish one, and the Cat Cafe one just to name a few.
You should really enjoy Vicky Delaney’s Sherlock Holmes series. Also, the No. One Ladies Detective series is currently on Max if you have it. I watched in many years ago and enjoyed it. Always look forward to your videos for recommendations for new reads.
I just finished a cozy mystery for Netgalley that I think you will really like. It is called The Last Word and it comes out February 20. I really enjoyed it.
Yay for the Beacon Bakeshop and Cat in the Stacks. I hope you enjoy these series as much as I do! A Cambridge Bookshop series is on my radar. I read another series (Apron Shop) of Elizabeth Penney and really enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy all of these series! I can't wait to hear what you think of them!
Hi Amy Marie, love your channel! I think Recipes for Love and Murder has been turned into a TV show. Think it is on Amazon or one of the channels they offer.
Oh! So many good ones! 🤓 Murder Past Due is on KindleUnlimited, so I added that one to my Wishlist and will get to it ASAP. Also, Murder at the House on the Hill is only 99¢ on Kindle, so I snagged that one! Thanks! 📚
The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency is one of my all time favourite series ever, and it sent me down a rabbit hole of collecting books by Alexander McCall Smith. Please do go into it knowing that they are very much “slice of life” stories, with a lot of philosophical musings by our main protagonist. These do not compare with thrillers or who-dun-it style mysteries, but I would urge you to delve deep into the series as it follows our group of main characters throughout their daily lives and the events that occur. I loved Recipes for Murder and recently watched a mini series adaptation on tv which was cool. In Australia I have not been able to get my hands on any other book in the series, though, and I believe there are two or three? Also, the Mma Ramotswe books are amazing on audio too. Happy Reading!
