Subject: If animals like dog, snakes, hens, goat, monkey etc are killed inside house or accidental deaths, then souls of those animals attack the family and make the family members suffer.
If we have killed snake then, sarpa samskara or sarpa prathisthapane is must to overcome the adverse effects.
If monkey is killed then, after burrying the monkey, a small maruthi temple is to be built.
To prevent brahmarakshasa attacks to the gotra/clan, then we must do puja to peeple tree, banni tree, neem tree, banyan tree on amavasya and poornima days.
Unsatisfied souls stay near dried lake and lake, river bank, dried tamarind tree, tamarind tree . Hence do puja and arathi to give salvation to the unsatisfied souls. This is a kind of social service.
Betaala stays at ruined temples, ruined houses, temple gopura etc. Hence one must do puja and japa at temples.

Hold lemon, 1 nail, 2 cloves in hand.
Chant the below mantra in any of the above mentioned places:
Mantra:

HUMM PHAT SWAAHA
- Nail the lemon along with cloves and keep chanting the mantra while nailing.
- Return back home without turning and wash hands, legs before entering.
- Light diya.
