How these 3 middle class and 2 working class lads learnt how to rock n ROLL so well and do it better then anyone else is as much a miracle to me as 3 working class lads and 1 middle class lad from Liverpool changing music with the greatest innovation ever. Both are the greatest ever and we will never see such greatness, excitement or wildness in music again. And if anyone thinks it’s insignificant and just music then I pity them

  • @Brembelia
    @Brembelia Рік тому +2

I'd heard the expression, "knocking them dead" before, but I never knew it was a real thing. 😮😮😮
I saw the Stones live in Framingham, Massachusetts at some very small school there. They were on and it was a great show, ( I think they were touring behind 12 x 5).
At the end of the show, they started playing one long song, I knew this was their last song, so I got up and left bc I didn't want to get trapped in the exiting crowd.
I made it down the front cement stairs, made a turn to the right, and started up the street (which was on a steep incline) to my car.
Suddenly, on my left, a big, shiny, black limo started creeping along side of me. I started to panick thinking it was a potential abduction.
The next thing I knew, I heard this really loud bang and I see that a door on the side of the brick school had been flung back with such force that it shattered the silence.
Then I heard the roar of an engine and the black limo lept forward like a hunting panther in the night.
From my right I saw several figures racing like crazy out that door.
The back door of the limo popped open, then Brian, followed by Mick, Keith and Charlie flew, head first, into the back seat. (I actually saw the bottom of their shoes as they dove (prone) into that vehicle).
Then the driver stomped on the gas, and the limo jumped into a black veil of darkness and got swallowed up by the night.
Wow. What a perfectly dramatic ending to a super night of incredibly good music. I'll never forget it.
I saw them years later at Madison Square Gardens. Mick was wearing a cape, top hat, and had on a tee-shirt with the zodiac sign for Leo.
That was a good show, too, but the one in Framingham will always be my fave.
I've always loved the Stones. So much so that I can easily say that their music helped define my life because I was always playing it. Still do, even to this day.
I'm really glad I have lived when I have, bc it was a magical time of great bands and great music, and the Rolling Stones headed the list for making those days what they were.
😊 I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Can you believe Paul McCartney has been running his mouth lately saying The Beatles were better than the Stones ? What's that all about ? Gee Paul , can't you give them some credit ? Two different kinds of music . Not really comparable. He said the Stones are a blues or rhythm and blues cover band . They were for awhile a cover band , that actually sounded better than the originals . I always thought they did Under The Boardwalk better than the Drifters .

When I hear the original versions of blues songs which the Stones, The Animals, etc have covered, 90% of the time, I think their covers are even better than the originals. Generally edgier, with nasty gritty guitar much more up front, etc. I always felt sort of guilty for thinking so, LOL.

That riot was unbelievable. So crazy and dangerous. Stu got hit in the head, had a bad concussion and had to go to the hospital. They wrapped the show up and somehow made their way out. Audience was mostly young guys and they ruined it for everyone.

@@PAULLONDEN My Dutch friend helped me to understand the full extent of that madness. Ian Stewart received a bad concussion by being hit on the head by a heavy object. I don't think anyone was prepared for something like this. There was a room set up where some of these troublemakers were put inside but it became filled to capacity. At that point those men on the stage decided to throw some of the others back into the crowd.
Mick was really angry when his mike and cable were pulled away by some in the crowd. Some panic ensued when it looked like they couldn't get the Stones out safely but a back door was found and they ran out and into the vehicle. .
Have to admit, the video itself was done very well in spite of, and including, the craziness.
There were too many performances. Most were there to see the Stones and were growing impatient. This event was poorly planned.

O que mais gosto nestes vídeos antigos são as imagens de mulheres. Pois contraria as feministas safadas! Pois falam como se tivessem libertados as mulheres. Enquanto os vídeos são repletos de mulheres curtindo Rock.
