My dad was on drugs back in early 90s went in to rehab was very hard for him to go clean some guys he was in debt with over drugs Threaten to kill my mom. Reg Snr caught my dad going to rob a local bank he talked to my dad about the situation and how he could end up in prison for long time. Next day he came around to our house handed my dad $1000 dollars told him to go clean we never had any issues with the drug dealers anymore. My dads been clean till 2004 before he passed away. Reg snr also paid for the funeral cost. This man has blessed us to many times. He understands way to much respect uncle Reg snr thanks a lot.
Wow that's amazing! Great man
Wow
He seems like a cool Dude
Wow, sorry for your loss. I'm a former user myself and I stopped using when my son was born 1.5 years ago. I'm glad you got to spend some quality time before he passed
Reggie Sr. got 50 years worth of game when it comes to Compton.
Listen to this man.
One thing I can say about Reggie Sr and Jr is they recall things very well and can paint a vivid picture. He's talking about things 40 years ago like it was last week. But AB respected him enough to tell him he would handle it. He respected AB enough to let him handle it. Tookie respected AB's word enough to apologize. Reggie Sr. respected the apology enough to back off of his feelings.
And Tookie respected how he handled it and gave him the respect in front of his fellow officers later. Most times in the world if you follow a code of respect, you will be able to cash it in down the line. And breaking it will get you handled right then or it will eventually catch up to you.
That was a helluva story ,an the way you broke it down in terms of respect is so true ,
the good ole days
In the past year Reggie has grown on me as a man to be respected , this is the second time I’ve seen Reggie Sr. I like him right away ..gotta respect the last man standing
@@acypooder1 Yeah he's seen a lot. He should write a book.
💯
When u get old u will to if your not on drugs
Well said...
This interview solidifies my opinion that it is important to have cops that grow up in the neighborhoods that they serve.
If we're gonna have them it definitely should be that way
Absolutely
A kid I grew up w is a lapd cop from orlando fla he dislikes the natives literally word for word
Why this dude was crooked as fuc
I totally agree 👍🏽
This is why you should only be able to be a cop in areas you grow up in.
You respect your community as a cop and it’s more like family. The cops wouldn’t be so quick to shoot people when they know them and their families. Also, you can do real community policing.
Excellent point
Facts
So true and a great point!!
Been saying this.
Man say that again
WoW . . . To be a guy in his late 70's early 80's Reggie Wright Sr. memory is impeccable.
He really seems like a cool dude, much Love & respect 🙏🏾
And he took care of himself he looks young as well OG the only way peace peace ✌🏼
I can sit and listen to his stories all day something about his character that's very intriguing
RW Sr. Is the perfect example of why cops need to come from the neighborhoods the police.
I bet Vlad is kicking himself for not getting that Tookie story. Lol
Agreed
Bomb1st is doing some of the best interviews. He asked the questions, say what he needs to say briefly then got out of the way and let the guest shine. That's the problem with Vlad, he wan't to run his mouth and cut the guest off as they tell their stories.
Real Talk
Al profit too😒
Vlad is the pioneer of this genre. How can he have a problem that doesn’t work for him?
It’s working and you’re still watching. The moment Vlad takes a break, the consumers say, “Vlad should have did this interview” 🫤
@@NoLineNoWait123AbC yeah u right..but the moment the other like bombist appeared half of the viewer i believed [including me] stop following his interviews..when u interupt people when they talk, thats not only annoyed people that he interviewed, annoyed people who watching too...no mannaer, stupid and need to go back to school..PERIOD!
@@NoLineNoWait123AbC nobody watching Vlad the Vulture
I could listen to him talk for hours about stories
Good job Jon. Vlad wouldn’t let the man speak 🤦🏽♂️
Truer words couldn’t be spoken. Vlad always has to insert on of his own stories to every interview. Like the time he got burned for a brick trying to deal 😂 and he always has to insert a flashback from previous guests while cutting off his current gust. So all I would like to say is (yeah man) vlad voice 🤣
Serves u right for listening to sgt Vladimir……. Lol
@@teddytheraccoon2128 facts lol. Some of his interviews are so bad that he should've just interviewed himself tbh. It's 95% of him talking and 5% of the guests actually being able to speak their piece.
I love Reggie Sr. Interviews, genuine fella and a reel, a treasure trove of some of hip hops darkest days 🙏🏾
Love Reggie Sr interviews.
Bomb1st killing it 🔥🔥🔥
One dude that i know tookie would've thought twice about bullying, RAYMOND WASHINGTON. THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF THE CRIPS. Before tookie became known in the streets of LA, raymond already had a reputation for constantly getting into trouble and fist fighting. When it came down to hand to hand combat no one could touch raymond washington. Tookie was the co-founder of the crips but Raymond was the ORIGINAL FOUNDER. Even though raymond and tookie were actually friends, i still believe tookie would've thought twice before "trying" raymond
Sr. Is a solid stand up guy. Growing up in carson I wished for more police like him. Unfortunately we got stuck with the sheriffs 🥴
Tookie was a Bully nothing more nothing Less❗️
They all were!! How the hell you think ALL gangs operate!! The heads are the main bullies and the rest play follow the leader!!
The more and more I hear stories about TOOKIE... the more I can see why people had issues with him
Killing 4 people should be the ONLY reason to have a issue with him!!! Sad how many in OUR black community praised this DEMON and OTHER DEMONS like him yet clown and give a hard time to the law abiding and working black folks in our community.
Deep down I agree
Dude was a menace
You know his name Tookie because he TOOK whatever he wanted.
And that's why he was never getting out of jail. He was implicated in other things as well. I mean, he lived a life of crime and had to do the time and was eventually executed. Everybody saw through the children's books and everything else he tried to do to show that he was rehabilitated. He was a known menace for years
The wright's are great storytellers. 👍 great content
We know now how Reggie Jr. learned how to break down stories
Sometimes it seems to me that even the most notorious gangsters are not necessarily bad people but people in a bad environment
That’s true because if you talk to most of their girlfriends or family members they will tell u that side of them
That’s exactly how we are 💯
@@ctg404 is that right?🤣
@@JohnDoe113 yes
exactly just like nazzi’s slave owners and corrupt cops
They not bad people it’s just the environment
Damn they got good stories for days. Bring Sr. back on!
LIFE IS BOUT "RESPECT", PERIOD...💯
PREACH 💯💯💯
Exactly
This is old school policing right here & the gangs had respect for certain police officers bc they were from the same hood & lived in the same hood.
Where it all went wrong was when the Police Departments did away with their residency requirements.
Letting people be Police Officer's & they didn't have to live in the community they served. They don't give a Shit about the community bc they don't live there.
If Police Departments bring back their residency requirements I bet you'll see a major decline in Police shooting & killing black & brown citizens bc they know they may run into them on the streets on their day off or when they're off duty.
Just shows you how much power and respect everyone had for tookie! Imagine going back in the day to see how much power he actually had! Smh, unbelievable, how much energy and ora he actually had, everyone talked about him like he was a God on the streets!
Dope interview 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great stories. I never get tired of hearing about the main players from back in the day
Every ghetto need an officer like this man. Someone who the hood respects.
Remeber the Death Row doc he spoke 2 the kids making sure they were staying outta trouble
Great interview
Man I could sit and listen to this man all day! Bbq and have a few beers. I bet him and Reggie Jr would be cool to sit with and listen to!

Amazing and hilarious stories man!
Great stuff lads.
I'm not a Vlad hater, but I must say this is already a better interview.
💯
All Vlad would wnt to know is who got shot and who died etc. Typical Ninja shyt. Great story on the respect Tookie had for Reggie sr.
I’m a Vlad hater he says the same old shit n is undercover a lot of the rappers are clocking onto his BS

Great interview.
Watching this in the middle of the night and thought that was my doorbell. Scared the hell outta me
I really enjoy Reggie Wright Sr. And I really like that Bomb1st is steady dropping content. I ordered Black, White and Grey All Over by Frederick Reynolds based on this man’s recommendation. If only Sr came out with his own, or a mini series of podcasts about his time on the CPD force.
Super interesting interview. Good job
Great start to a great series of interviews... The apple doesn't fall far from the tree lol! The Wright Family can recant life situations like no other!
One of my favorite interviews.
imagine being punched by tookie that must of felt like a asteroid hitting him lol. that dude was so huge
GOOD SHIT 👌🏾👌🏾
An outstanding Interview. Great stories about Tookie 👊🏿Coach
As a kid in Compton Reggie Wright Sr was pretty cool especially when you we saw most Cops in a negative light.. Now the Car Wash story, its part of that story where only Orlando, and Michael Stone knows what happened.. They are both dead, Tookie is Dead, all the Monster Kody stories after he died... (RIP to all of them)
Just a curious question for you. Do you believe that story about Kody chopping that arm off and bringing it to a gang meeting? Lol, that one always seemed a little too extra for these gangbangers. I know they fought, stabbed, and shot. But that is some psycho shit only someone who enjoys stuff like that would do. I never looked at these OG crips and bloods in that light. I really have no clue tho.✌
@@bluecollar825 you have to think about it this is over 30 years ago and back in the days with all kinds of crazy movies and stuff going on and millions of gang members it’s a high chance that their were plenty of psychos running around and you got away with so much more back then
@@trollyoazz5439 good point. Noted.

Awesome to see Sr on bomb 1st where I would have preferred to have seen that other interview on
Those days gang members were men of respect

Community policing….Respect. 🙏🏿🙌🏿💪🏿
I remember the Death Row doc he was goin around talking 2 children, making sure they were staying outta trouble
Didn't do much good. Reggie Sr. new all the criminals as kids and their families but couldn't effect change in the community.

Great stories coach...
Definitely understand now why individuals that are from a certain area, are definitely needed to police in that area. They care more about their community and their people.
Dope Story Coach
Damn this father and son are the spitting image of each the way they talk speak mannerisms everything!
Man... An Incredible Story!!
@Reggie Wright great content and thanks for sharing these informative stories. In your upcoming interviews can you speak on the Rampart Scandal and why conspiracy theorist believe Death Row was tied to it?
This definitely goin to be a good episode with Wright Sr great job Wright Jr an he’s fellow partner.
That’s a dope story Williams was a beast in the game at that time.
He was a muscle bound clown, a fake ass bully that would've got put in the dirt if he was in his prime today...you see how quick he copped pleas when Reg's father pulled a hammer on him?...niggas would've smoked his big ass today
Reggie your blessed man. SR paid the cost to be the boss. Very loved and respected. My father's occupation made him very known in the community as well, and very respected. We lost him in December. Cherish him. Salute

“I had me a little 38.” Same with my dad and every dad I knew growing up.

I can listen to reg and his pops all day
I'm from Jersey... A notorious situation that happened with a well known gang member. This made me think of that. It was on Gang Land. A man approached him because he'd recruiter his son and he didn't approve. He was killed.
I always said can you imagine the monster that could've been made. Him having a vendetta, being a police officer and taking it out on the whole community. Not to mention the brainwashing that can occur from the training or programming.
grew up on 115th right by the P.J.'s Mr Wright has a lot of history in watts. back then watts could make or break u. Much respect to you.

Absolutely fabulous story Big Reg.
Can you talk about the Stone family from Corner Pocket (Jerry and Michael)?

Didn’t they get to shooting with Orlando Anderson ?
@@righteousmasculine yes those were the guys at the car wash that day.

You see the difference between back then and today? They talked about it like Men and Tooki humbled himself and apologized, he didn't try to act tough and escalate the situation. And Reggie Wright Sr. Excepted his apology and forgave him.
Kind of common amongst the elders that they carries little 38s in their back pockets back in the day i seen it first hand
Yeah because it was more hidden. U don’t want to approach most situations with a gun or threat of a gun. Things was more smooth back then. We can fight but if I got to pocket shot your azz I will 😏🤣old Mfs will cut you and everything back then.

That story might be true, Tookie said in his book that he frequented the PJ's and was a friend of Anthony Baylock. And i think his son is from the PJ's, the mother is a woman named Beverly McGowen.
