I felt the same while watching Uri like the tactical moves in movies like moving in straight line convoy in pok without securing angles that attack helicopter scene etc were very inacurate... Uri was just supposed to be a popular film benifitting from nationlistic sentiments in our country regarding that incident
thank you ranveer for this clip seriously such a eye opener as i have moved form teenage to 20's i thought what movie are showing only 50% above that might have happen but by watching this there is no doubt no one can match the sacrifices the way army do for their respective country

It is obvious none can bring out 100 percent in movies. Professional defence personals will surely take out mistakes.. But its quite ok for general public. Personally I liked Uri a lot. It was very touchy.

Lol it was a very stupid movie insertion across loc via a chopper lol.....one stinger missile and that chopper would be gone 🤣🤣 troops going in random formation no assualt group or support group no buddy pairs moving close proximity to each other (very ideal situation if someone wants to ambush them one lmg burst or rpg or and ied and multiple casualties )🤣🤣 unnecessary picking up hand to hand fight just to look macho 🤣🤣.....room intervention technique is just lol 🤣🤣....when a civilian like me can see such flaws it would ve like almost a paraody for a soldier to watch that shit 🤣🤣

At least it is far better than stupid illogical action movies of Bollywood or even South Indian movies. In the end the aim of majority director is to attract mass public.

There are lot of movies specially focused on the protagoniat's eyes to make him look like he's having a killer's eyes as he had been in the close combat situations. In videos i saw those same killer eyes in him 🙏. Clearly a deep feeling of lashing out on the enemy and does all the things that the enemy can imagine

Watched the whole video. Sir did not explain much why URI movie was far away from reality. But I think URI movie was thoroughly researched and depiction of reality was correct. No fiction. This is what I feel. Anyone of you if you know something else about this film which I don't know, then please share this knowledge in the comment section and help me refine my knowledge.
Bhai koi soldier ki maa ko bhulne ki bimari nhi thi,koi lady airforce chopper ka istemal nhi kiya gya tha jiska pati mar gya tha,n ki ajit dhoval apna hr phone tod dete hai,N ki koi pachi jaise dikhne wala drone use hua tha.Bahut saari chize apne mn se kuch bhi dal diye the ye sab nhi dalte to bhi film bahut achi hi bnti.

Helicopters were not used so close to the border in the real LOC strike and the initial strike in Myanmar did not inflict so many causalities as shown in the movie plus NSCN-K did not do ceasefire. There was already a reconnaissance team for a few days inside LOC before the assault/strike teams moved in. Also our Mi-17s do not use minigun and there was No battle between Indian and Pakistani helicopters. In the last scene Mr. Vicky was shown shooting militants from under the river via normal Rifle/ammunition and he wasn't even wearing a diving set. (I found how's the josh dialogue post operation and screaming "Indian" Army while stabbing the terrorist was quite cringe but this one's personal.)

As far as I know URI is the best military movie from India specially it shows how difficult special operations are and what it takes to serve the country.

The bird drone scene, the mother's nurse moment, the female fighter pilot, the death of the para sf company commander's brother in the grenade mishandling, the last moment raw info incoming about pakistan's air defence setup by interrogating a Pakistani parliamentarian ... Everything was fictional ... A movie has to contain things rhat are fictional but when you make even the major events of the story imaginary and fictional then there it causes the problem to those really associated with these things ...

Ghanta, URI movie just had masala and nothing more than that. In reality 4 Para SF and 9 Para SF conducted that operation. 3 squads (3x6) + 1 medic was involved in it. It was a very small duration hit within 45 mins the contact was over and our troops returned back. Out of those 19 people 1 officer from 4 para got Kirti Chakra, 5 got Shaurya Chakra, and 13 got Sena Medal for that op. And no one shouts like bitch in operations and say "how is the josh" they quietly go and do what they are suppose to do and they come back. They are being the shadows, nobody knows them.
India's best is substandard if we compare with war movies from Hollywood. Reality in Bollywood is a piece of shit. 🤣

With all due respect to colonel joshi URI was thoroughly researched and the team while making the film took utmost care to keep whatever possible we could to actual reality. Infact some part was of research was so real that it was not possible to depict on screen. The cast and crew associated with the film shall always be grateful to the support offered by Indian Army.
He has certain likings when it came to war movies. it is very evident from the list of movies he mentioned he liked. So lets just take it as his personal view. I personally loved URI and I felt it was more realistically depicted than border. When border came it was time of ham actions, loud dialogues so it was made accordingly.

I liked when ranveer said " Gaali de sakte ho sir ".
There were many loop holes in URI frankly..specially the last helicopter scene it was supposed to be a covert search and destroy op without alerting the Pakistani military..if the depicted scene were true then we would be in a full on war with Pakistan right now..other than that Vicky did an excellent job playing Capt. Vihaan..History TV 18 channel showed the actual thing

I wouldnt say URI was a bad movie the stress of combat felt real the pain after loss of soldiers felt painful agreed Close Air Support by mi17 was stupid ( writers imagination) I never trust any military movie to be historically correct but as long as they try to get some accuracy it makes me happy. URI and shershah had that but other movies like BHUJ or shows like shoorveer 🤮
@Rey Shershaah was lovely story was more accurate still the combat tactics didn't feel that good and it's ok to do that story was about Shershah and it was portrayed beautifully unlike URI which was about the operation
