accidentally i found ur video and i became a fan , i fell love with the gorgeous combination with mugs and bowls too , what a stunning art , greetings from saudi arabia .
Glad you like them! I'm just keeping a record of my journey and Fascinated how others find it interesting to watch. Picked Clay up for the first time in my life 16months ago and it's just a relaxing stress relief hobby. Thoroughly enjoying the learning process and the anticipation and unknown when you open the kiln ! Lol
Love love love.... those green plates are adorable. your shelves are so much cleaner than mine. But spring is coming and I will have a Shelf Clean Up day soon.
Do you mean the little decal glazes dishes? Hmmmm... I'm not so keen lol. I'm just not really a green person, I'm more blues and purples lol. But fab to know that someone likes them 😍 my shelves are definitely due a clean and re kiln wash. But I want to wait until the weather is better as I do it all outside.
@@FarForestCeramics yes your lil green plates. LOVE! more more more. LOL I have made a few things that don't give me as much satisfaction and then someone comes along and loves it. always blows my mind, we are all so similar yet different. More fun that way I think!
Another successful kiln firing! I think before you open your kiln from now on you should do a ritualistic happy dance to the kiln gods. 🤣💃🏼 Your spirit is so beautiful and I just can’t get enough of your videos! Congrats! 🎊
LMAO! I can't make you all suffer like that every time! Every opening I tell myself try to be more calm and less excitable......and then I forget everything!
Amazing results once again Jeanette, there doesn't have to be a day that you have bad results you are so careful and planned out. I think the only way you would have a fail is if your kiln failed. You pieces are just stunning the colours round the plates for your Mum and Dad are amazing. You are an inspiration to me, I am focusing more on form but you really inspire me to be more colourful😍 xx
Your form is amazing, especially the bottles you have made. As much as we can try to plan, prepare and be careful there are always the unexpected results - but we learn from them I guess. Love how we can all learn from each other.
OOOOH GIRRRRL!!! My goodness these are beautiful! Not even anywhere near finishing watching but I’m sooo excited for you!!! I love that birch for a liner glaze! I was just looking fir the perfect liner glaze too!!!
I know!!!! Isn't it just so divine!!!!! I'm sooooo blown away with this combo. I want to do a full kiln load of anything and everything of this combo to go in the house lmao!!!!
I have to admit I'm shocked sometimes at the beauty of pieces when I open the kiln and still can't believe I made it. Mayco brush on glazes are so stable and working well for me as a beginner. I definitely think I'm experiencing beginners luck and that could change in an instance, so I'm enjoying the wins while I can lol
Nice pices. Love your enthusiasm. I would say you got a full cone 7. At 6.5 the 7 cone should be just bending. You cone six should have a nice arch not be flat. Your results are great though.
Thankyou. I love the results my kiln is giving me, and maybe just need to accept its a cone 7. I just hear everyone firing mainly to cone 6, so feel I'm doing it wrong?
Hi, sorry I'm totally confused? I've no idea what a light socket fixture would look like lol. I've made all my cookies and drip catchers from Clay and bisque fired them. I can never have enough!
The one dish with the sandstone that didn’t really match the rim I think it doesn’t look like the rim because it’s almost completely flat on the bottom. Maybe? Just an idea. I love how you used the decals! Did your kiln load get too hot? I’ve seen the sandstone turn darker like that when it’s been over fired. Usually it’s a nice creamy white. Great job. Do the mugs from last time match the bowls from this load?
My Sandstone has always come out that shade, I just didn't expect the contrast to be so defined. Its like the middle doesn't connect with the edge . My Kiln is firing more at 6.5 but I'm loving how glazes are performing normally on this setting, so I don't think ill change it yet. Definitely going for a reglaze and refire. Hoping to have a follow up kiln opening to upload tomorrow 🙏 The mugs from previous opening and these bowls are DIVINE together. I'm loving them!!!!!🤣🤣
Just checked a previous plate I did in Sandstone with cordovan flicks. Still the same darkness. Sorry its a reel you have to watch to get to the finished image
I love your excitement when you open the kiln. Greetings from Pernambuco, Brazil
Thankyou, so pleased you enjoy watching. Always a journey of discovery for me LOL.

This makes me want to try transfers
You need to do it! They were a Xmas gift and great fun to use. Got some overglaze ones to try too, just need to work out how to do it :)

Love your videos❣️ Are you using light socket fixtures for cookies? If so, do they work well for you? Thx!

@@FarForestCeramics wow. My sandstone is very white. How odd. I’m soo happy for you. You do amazing work!
What do you fire your Sandstone at? I aimed for Cone 6, but my cones are showing 6.5 at least.
