Learn effective techniques for managing Tandla / Digera (Digera arvensis), it sit / horse purslane / giant pigweed, chibarh / wild cucurbit, jangli chulai/slender amaranth/green amaranth, Loonak / Qulfa / Common Purslane / Garden Purslane / Pursley (Portulaca oleracea) and Hulhul / Spider Flower / Dog Mustard / Tick weed (Cleome viscosa) using Atrazine, a Chlorinated herbicide of triazine family.
It is a systemic herbicide. It comes in 50% W. P and 38% SC herbicide formulation. Atrazine's mode of action is photosynthesis inhibition that is explained in details in this video.
Atrazine does not affect following weeds:
Gajar Booti / Common Ragweed / Congress Grass (Parthenium hysterophorus)
Bathu / Common Goosefoot / Lamb's Quarter (Chenopodium album)
Crops that should not be Sprayed:
Gandum/gehu me kharpatwar nashak dawa nahi hai ye (Not a herbicide for wheat)
narma kapas pr spray nhi krni (Not a cotton herbicide)
Not for Sugar beet (Chuqandar jesa hota hai is pr bhi spray nhi krni)
Crops that should be Sprayed Cautiously:
jawar ki kasht k waqt spray na kren bl k baad main kren (Not a suitable pre emergence and post emergence herbicide for Sorghum, only use as post emergent)
Bajra pr bhi jowar ki tarah hi spray krna hai (millet production can be affected in early application, use as for sorghum cultivation)
Crops that are most benefited by spraying Atrazine:
Makai ki kasht k waqt aur baad main makai me atrazine jese chahen use kren (best pre and post emergent herbicide for sugarcane&makki/Corn/Maize)
Kamad/Ganna: ye aesi ganne me kharpatwar nashak dawa hai k is ka faida hi faida hai (Very good for Sugarcane)
