The amount of projection and slander I'm receiving from you guys is jarring. I don't hate nor am I jealous of anyone winning. Korea was who I was cheering for and that's my right to do so. Pakistan remains to be the #1 region in Tekken and again, CONGRATS to the winners.

The Tekken scene in Pakistan has exploded with exceptional talent in recent years. Players like Arslan Ash, Atif Butt and Awais Honey have stunned the world by defeating top Korean and Japanese players at major tournaments. Their skills and dedication are a source of national pride for Pakistan.
Arslan Ash's inspiring Evo 2019 championship run, as the first Pakistani player to win the prestigious event, was a landmark moment. It demonstrated how Pakistan is home to some of the very best Tekken talent anywhere in the world. Players like Atif Butt have also earned major tournament wins over elite Korean opponents.
The emergence of top-tier Pakistani players is exciting for the growth of Tekken globally. It shows that world-class competitive talent can arise from anywhere, when people have a deep passion for the game. Pakistan's Tekken community deserves tremendous appreciation for their accomplishments. They serve as role models and motivators for young, up-and-coming players in Pakistan who also dream of making their mark on the global stage someday.
In the spirit of friendly competition and goodwill, here's hoping for a future where Pakistani players can travel freely to compete and connect with fellow Tekken enthusiasts around the world. Their skills and sportsmanship are worthy of respect and celebration.

In evo japan 2023 Atif lost with his akuma to Saint and low high. In winners final of this nations cup knee went 6 rounds straight against Atif yet Atif chose the open stage and made his adjustments and beat knee after losing 6 rounds straight, and at the last set, knee couldn't hold his nerves either he whiffed rage drives and misjudged combos, was that because of akuma too? No they wont. They made Tekken 8 for the Pakistani and american players.
Tekken as we know it, is dead.
Tekken 8 is all offense and forced constant 50/50s and gimmicks...like the Pakistani like to play, Instead of the perfect Tekken that the Koreans and japanese play.
I wouldn't be shocked if some Koreans and japanese players quit Tekken 8 because from what I've seen, Tekken is dead. We had the same gameplay since Tekken 3. Then they changed it slightly with Tekken 5.
Now with Tekken 8, it's a completely different game that got rid of footsies and defense, in exchange for spectacle and flashy 50/50s.

@@epicon6 selling a lot at launch due to established franchise trust doesn't mean the game will be successful. Big sales doesn't also remove the franchise damage for future games.
Like battlefield V sold relatively well after BF1 but it irreparably damaged the franchise, that sunk even worse with bf2042. The next bf game can be the best in the series but it won't sell well because trust is gone.
The last of us 2 sold really well...the first month.
Decent sales overall thanks to a really strong launch, but not good. Also the trust in the franchise was damaged, so when the last of us 1 remake came out, it sold like shit cuz people don't care anymore.
To me, for example, the 2nd one ruined the 1st. It retroactively ruined a game that I loved.
Or like mk11: it sold decently well but the changes angered people. It damaged the brand enough that they made mk 1, trying to milk nostalgia, instead of injustice 3, reverting some of the changes. Are those enough? Idk..
So yeah, Tekken 8 is still in development but they can't just remove the stupid systems they already announced. The whole game was made around the stupid heat, the infinite ranges for moves, no movement(good luck on footsies with the full screen range of most attacks), all forced 50/50s, big damage, freaking health Regen and chip damage (ew 🤢).
They can do small changes where they rollback some of the stupid shit, but its not enough, unless they redo the whole system and in turn postpone the game by at least 1 year... Honestly, I'd give them 2 years because the graphics need some serious work, they need to clean up the awful UI and effects, completely rebalance gameplay flow and give back the 50+ moves they removed for each character and give them new moves.
Oh yeah, did you know that the characters have half the moves they had in Tekken 7?
