Great video series and so refreshing to see a professional job using professional tools. I’ve done all my own work now for years after getting fed up of employing so many crap tradespeople always cutting corners and then having to finish their shoddy work.
Hi Liam I just wanted to say a big thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience here on YT. Watching your channel gave me the confidence to tackle my 3.5 x 5.5 epdm roof this weekend. It went really well and I'm so pleased with the results. Thanks again!
These are the most informative videos for any DIY with a bit of knowledge. Well done to you and your team and I wish you all the success in the world. You deserve it.
Hey guys another great video. Jenny how are you enjoying the job now you have been there a while. You are a pleasant addition to the team and they would be lost without you. I've noticed they smile a lot more with a lady around them.😊
Liam, have a revelation for you, it was for me. The bahco insulation saw.... amazing, cuts clean, cuts true and no dust!!! You heard it here first 👍thanks for the vids, you Ali and Steve have given me the faith to do my own, have walls up roof up and rubber to go on when this rain stops.
Liam, keep up the great work! Love your attitude and humour in the videos!! You and your team are producing great work and it’s refreshing that you don’t give in to the haters and keep going with your beliefs in this world of bloody experts. Cheers 🍻
Hi Mr. Griffin. Lovely progression with this little peach of a room. Loving the longer videos. They are very explanatory and will help hundreds of people like me build a garden room without the stresses of ‘what do I do now?’ Love the Paul McKenna bit. Superb. Keep up the fantastic work. 👍🏼🍺
soooo... tell me and I'm sure you've been asked this before... how many times have you fallen off these rooves? Another great video and I've spent most of the day watching these (yes even the long ones). Get Jen on camera more with her outrageous lovely hair. Really impressed by her skillz. Much love from Belfast and keep up the amazing work.
Great channel Liam. You guys remind me of the time I was working with my uncle brick laying and renovating. Keep up the great work. Thought about building tiny houses?
Great video. May I ask why have you not used untreated wood ? Would it not have been better to use say tanalised timber ? I am complete novice so just asking ?
Liam, loving the video, helping me build my own 4.8x2.4 room. What do I do with the space under the roof osb at the wall where the joist lay? Rock wool/PIR it or put some timber in?
Probably a little hard to explain with out a video mate. but ill try, we fix the first one through the side of the next rafter and spike it into the previous one, then the same with the next, face fix it into the next rafter and put the nail gun tight into the corner of the previous noggin and send it at an angle, and so on...... if that makes any sense 😬
Great vid as ever. Just a thought, have you considered investing in one of those gimble things to help minimise the camera movement. Makes a huge difference to the finished footage, and they don't cost mega bucks. Keep up the good work.
Liam. Those PIR boards are nice and snuggly fitted - have you experienced cutting the boards slightly small, gaps between the board and the rafters? What do you do? Replace the board or use those expanding foams?
Hi Liam, great videos, I watch them every week to get hints an tips for when I tackle my own build later this year. Just wondered if you will be doing that video re King Span roof panels instead of timber/rubber?
I find these videos very informative and interesting - but have you any idea what you've done to the availability of C16 timber for the average DIY'er like me?😤
Absolutely addicted to these videos - top quality... Just bought a build pack and can't wait to get started! Can anyone please answer: Could you build bigger than the 30m2 allowed under permitted development without Building Regs, if you do it as multiple smaller rooms? (E.g. 2 x 20m2? Thanks!
DM me if you need a supplier for western red cedar, you can buy direct from the mill if you need some. Just finished my build using this and A1. Cheers

Top videos as usual! I bet the neighbours love Liam shouting, I mean talking , all day long lol
Nice one as always Liam. Wondering if you’ve ever done a soundproofed room, say for a music studio for example?
+1 on that
Yet another great video. I'm now wondering if you have done any pitched roof builds and if so do you have a pitched roof video? Thanks, again.
It hurts my knees just seeing Jenny kneel on that wood without any knee pads 😂 Though I am considerably heavier than her

@22:08 Jen saying "It doesn't protrude through the rubber. Nice! Also, no expansion joints in that OSB, and glued?
It’s not butting up to anything, where exactly is it going to expand too? 🙄🙄🙄
@@thegardenroomguru Through the rubber at the sides if you're unlucky!
@@thegardenroomguru AND, it's got to be glued - so the argument, such as it is, is academic....isn't it?!
Have you tried the Bahco PC-22-INS 22-inch Insulation Saw? It's more of a knife with a wavey edge than a wood saw, so there is little insulation dust.
Great channel Liam. You guys remind me of the time I was working with my uncle brick laying and renovating. Keep up the great work. Thought about building tiny houses?
Is this the thing my daughter told me about on UA-cam ?
Great vid as ever! When are you showing how to install insulated roof panels? Get your SIPs out for the lads and ladsies
Do you need any cross ventilation for the roof joists guys??? Cross battans?
if 9x2 4.2 joist are used what would be the maximum spacing i would need for my project.
sorry to ask but i dont know anyone to ask, thank you
Nice to see you again.

When fixing your back boxes do you do cut through the vapour barrier.
Hi Liam, I've got a 3.5m span, if I use 5x2 @ 400mm spacing do I need to double up the joists. Or can I use 4x2 doubled up. Ta
Great video. May I ask why have you not used untreated wood ? Would it not have been better to use say tanalised timber ? I am complete novice so just asking ?
Do you have to use tongue and grove for the roof? Also will doubled up 4x2 be suitable for a roof on 3.6m roof?
Thanks for your videos.

Can anyone explain how the hell they install the noggins in a straight line? Are they screwing them in at an angle like a pocket screw?

Just a quick question. Is it viable to have a garden office built over the winter?. Or am I best waiting until next spring?. Cheers!.👍
We build all year round mate, can be a pain in the bad weather, but gotta keep the wheels rolling
If I'm doing 2 layers of OSB on my roof for sound insulation, should they both be t&g or can I do one standard and one t & g?
consider using sound proofing plasterboard but don't think they are to be used on a roof. they are super heavy!
Why don't you use contact adhesive on the side of the roof
