I love how he always diverts the talk to his fellow actors and the collaborative effort of staff. He knows that his performance wouldn't have been so great without proper backing from a good staff and fellow actors. Props to him for acknowledging that!
I agree, and it reminds me of how Freddie always made clear that he wasn't the "leader of the band", but rather the "lead vocalist". Humble, both of them.
Finding out about his win, listening to his speech and watching him on stage has made me extremely emotional and beyond thrilled. This man is driven by pure passion and handles everything that comes his way with respect and mindfulness. He is extremely humble and well spoken. His portrayal of Freddie was fantastic and the respect he has for him shows through his magnifying performance. Well done, Rami Malek.

Rami gave perfect answers on even the most uncomfortable questions! This guy know what to say and how to say it! He didn’t like confirm anything, he didn’t deny anything, he just said he’s “a very fortunate lucky man” I’m so proud of him!
He's so eloquent and says everything in such a beautiful way. He basically was like you either stop talking about Lucy or I'm leaving right now, yet it didn't come off as rude 3:01

Was searching for his SAG award speech and found this gem from the GGs. He's just so awesome and adorable. I am beyond thrilled that he is getting the recognition he deserves! Rami is a hard working, genuinely kind, humble & sincere person. He's got nothing but respect from his fellow cast mates and the adoration of millions of fans for good reason. Last night at the SAGs he took time on the carpet to shake hands with military personnel that were in the crowd. Now, that's classy!! I am so thrilled for him on this SAG award win! I've never seen an actor so totally immersed in a character and he brought Freddie to the big screen with beauty, honesty and dignity. The film has also left an indelible impact on millions of lives. People are discovering (or rediscovering) this legendary band and it's so wonderful to see. From what i've heard and learned, Freddie Mercury didn't make a big fuss over accolades - he just wanted his music to reach people - so i know he'd be immensely proud of this movie!

Rami's win makes me so happy for him! He is a talented actor, and most importantly seems to be collaborative and loyal to his castmates. They seem to have come together as a family, and I have to imagine in Rami's heart, that is the greatest award. I love the film band and the real band they portrayed. Lovely, lovely gentlemen who shepherded this project over many years so that the movie told Freddie's story with the utmost respect and love.

Nobody EVER lets Rami y’all! I’ve noticed it in several interviews I’ve seen in the last couple months. It’s crazy! Like they’re not respecting him at all. Idk if that’s what it is or if they’re just so hyped up about the movie but they gotta get it together and let the man speak for fuck sake!
I saw the movie with one of my sons, and we stepped out on the street saying "Well, that's this years Oscars competition done and dusted!" The next thing I know, Bohemian Rhapsody wins two huge Golden Globes and the papers write about a "major upset"...? Major upset? That's what any other winner would have made me.

Mr.M--you may indeed be "lucky" but your winning had all to do with your work and talent (this is a compliment of course). I think if you can play roles that are so diverse and come out on top in either vivacious ostentatious and subdued, dual-personality perhaps bipolar introvert--your awards have nothing to do with LUCK but talent. You belong in a circle a bit above some of your contemporaries into a more elevated hall of actor's fame. Time will tell tho. congrats have a blast celebrating your well-deserved prizes and awards. May luck and fortune further guide you to your joy in life regardless of career aspirations. Your contribution to the art and movie scene has been a profound display of artistic rendering and I am grateful to have been put into such a state of "disbelief" in watching your movie and tv series with the joy of being enveloped into the plot, your acting, and losing myself to the experience.
