    Very nice setup- bet it sounds great in person. Love the little clarinet (?) player and singer on the floor. 🙂

    I guess these spks are very very good for vocals, acoustic music & classical music.

      If you have a reference pre-amp, surely yes, it can convince you mostly with every moderate speaker, otherwise like what I have(non-reference pre like DSPre), it cannot show its potential.

      @@ribiza_audiophile sub woofer(s), properly set up, definitely make an appreciable difference. Much more like a live performance. You feel the music as well as hear it. I have another system without subs and the music is beautiful but there is a missing dimension. This is especially true with jazz recorded before the 1970s.

    I'm not able to audition these, but if I were to ask how the bass of these could compare to Dynaudio C1 or even confidence c20 would be able to comment? I prefer music without sub even though I still use one for movies. Great sound and excellent recording quality! Nicely ✔️

    • @ribiza_audiophile
      @ribiza_audiophile  Рік тому +1

      My sub is always off. I also use it for movies. Actually I am not comparing but i guarantee that you could reach easily down to 40hz with proper gear.

      @@ribiza_audiophile sounds reasonable enough and more or less expected. I'm able to get fairly even bass down to 34-36 hz with dynaudio c1 but I still wouldn't mind going back to a floorstand model in the future. A solutely love the look of these Sonus Faber but haven't been able to listen to a pair yet! Thanks for the reply, much appreciated 👍

      Once you try a top-class bookshelf, it would be so hard going back to even more expensive floorstanders… but there are some issues i found in Guarneri G4, 1. It is absolutely transparent and it delivers what it is fed, so you should be so cautious on what you have in upstream. 2. Wiring is the killing part. Watch it out carefully to use the neutral ones caz a tiny coloration ruins it all. 3. Forget about the size of the cabinet, it can easily have such deeper bass than olympica III or even the bigger brother(Serafino)… 4. Tube can rock it, and be careful with solid states.

      My Sonetto standmounts sound so much more immersive when I'm able to turn on my stereo pair of 8" rel subwoofers. Being able the go down to nearly 30 Hz makes for me makes all the difference. So much better than going floorstanders and risking a little bit of extre room gain, especially in my small living room.

      @@ribiza_audiophile Noted with thanks. Does sonus faber Homage G5 has enough low sound?

    • @ribiza_audiophile
      @ribiza_audiophile  6 місяців тому

      @@jamesyu8183 with a right match, you could get bit under 40hz easily, it is better than most of the giant floorstanders! The total tonal balance is well designed with no feeling of lack of low ends even at this size of woofer and cabinet. The bass might not be too big, but it is absolutely deep enough

      @@vidaswidas it helps if you listen to music with bass and drums. ..
      And get a good sub.
      And know how to position and dial it in.
      But I agree, if you're listening to close-mic female jazz singers with some midrange-centric synth background, then no need to reproduce freq that is not there!

    • @totalplonker824
      @totalplonker824 3 місяці тому +2

      I used to think the same thing. And over lumina's 2's, my SF Sonetto's happens to go down an extra 10 Hz. Ever since I introduced a stereo pair of Rel 8-in subs to my Sonetto's, it might only be 10 Hz lower, but actually, this is where the immersion lies! The results of the full range signal speak for themselves..
      The only time the subs have ever ever gone off is when I'm doing testing! Highly recommend! but the quality of Sonus Faber speakers has to stay away from those sloppy dopey HT subs. Otherwise, rather than upgrade it might actually be a downgrade 😊
