Watch the Netflix documentary about them called Light Up the Sky and you'll literally fall in love with them. Keep in mind, their success is all within 5 years only. Imagine what the next decade would be like, assuming they're remain together and successful.
Light up the sky doesn't even touch on the extent to which they've all thrived and solidified their names as true ICONS.

Great reaction. Welcome to the Blackpink Universe, it is a very happy place. Just FYI, there is tremendous depth in many of their songs that Westerners are just not attuned to seeing. For example, you should check out the UA-cam video "English Priest Reacts to How You Like That" where a Cambridge University (yep, the one in England) graduate in Greek Classism goes scene by scene explaining the symbolism in Greek Mythology, basically having to do with females overcoming horrors and subjugation to triumph. Each member plays a different Greek Goddess and daughter of Zeus that overcame great horrors in Greek mythology. The MV is basically one big FU to their haters (and they have many) and Kpop Idol haters in general. There have been numerous Idols driven to suicide by hateful netizens and social media. "Look at You" (you miserable ugly loser who adds nothing but hate and vile to the world), "Now Look At Me" (Beautiful, successful, talented giving inspiration, love, support and hope to my fans and the world). Another example, in DDu Du DDu Du, the scene where Jisoo fell depicts the dark side of being an Idol. At first you see all the men totally obsessed and focus their camera phones on "Celebrity Jisoo" (the mural on the wall), totally ignoring the real Jisoo right in front of them. However, when she fell (symbolizing some kind of scandal or mistake made), none attempted to help her up. Instead, they turned into masked assassins, with their camera phones having pistol grips symbolizing they are now using them as weapons (through social media or taking embarrassing pix) to finish her off. Instead of staying down defeated Jisoo rises up, knowing the hell she is about to face, stands up strong and ready to face whatever they do. So, beside the great beats and music, besides the tremendous visual artistry, you have serious messaging and symbolism.
They're not going solo or leaving the group, they just release solo music for each artist.
So far Jennie, Rosé, Lisa have released their own thing. The next in-line would be Jisoo. ☺️

The solo song lalisa by lisa has broken records and went into the world genius record as the Fastest solotist to get to nearly 100m views within 24 hrs and 300m views within a month. The last record holder was taylor swift.
They haven't gone Solo, they just do Solo Projects here and there. Jisoo is currently in a TV series on Disney+, Rosé often does covers on her own channel etc. Lisa as you saw released two singles not too long ago.
They haven't hid the fact they are still making music, its just because of the expectations they feel has been put on them its difficult to release anything without being 110% sure it will be a hit in a way.

1. I get a kick out of how a reaction video to K-pop results in an order of magnitude more views than reactions to other music.
2. As far as Blackpink goes, one video you should watch if you are interested in their singing ability is their cover of Miguel's "Sure Thing" that they performed on a show named "JYP's Party People."
3. When it comes to K-pop and learning more about the group, you can approach it in a couple of ways. If what you are interested in is the music or performance, watch the M/V, then the dance practice video, then live performances on any or all of the music shows that the big three Korean TV networks air every week. For Blackpink, just start with their two debut songs ("Boombayah" and "Whistle") and move forward chronologically. Because Blackpink's company, YG Entertainment likes to keep its artists in the dungeon, there is not a huge body of work out there as compared to other K-pop groups. If you are interested in the members themselves and like the pars-social relationship aspect of idol culture, you should watch them on what Korea calls "variety shows." Blackpink did their own reality show series called "Blackpink House," which can be found on their official channel. You will also want to watch them when they are guests on other programmes, such as "Running Man." "Running Man" and other Korean variety shows (as well as K-dramas and the music shows) can be found with English (and Portuguese) subtitles on the KOCOWA streaming service that was put together as a joint project by the aforementioned big three TV networks (KBS, SBS, and MBC). I think it costs something like $8 per month.

She is also Miss Korea I think. Lisa is the 2nd rapper. Jennie my bias is the main rapper. She can sing and rap she fire. But really Lisa is fire too she my 2nd fav. Lisa can do the same as well. Rose and Jisoo are the vocals. Lisa is an amazing dancer yep yep. Their current stuff is solos. THEY DID NOT GO SOLO!!! Before that they released an album. They were the 1st Kpop group at Coachella! DDU-DU DDU-DU Jennie on that tank rapping I was in love and she was bias just like that! =0p All Kpop groups are trained very well and thoroughly by their agencies. They all learn modeling, acting, rapping, singing, dancing, etc. So I think in the end all the ladies can do it all. Just some have more skill in certain things than others. Jennie's solos song came out way before the others. So I think they learned stuff from her. Lisa's solo songs are doing great on the chart. She killed it. Rose's songs are good too. Lisa is Thai born and raised in Thailand by her Mom and StepDad. Rosé was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, to Korean parents.
