Being someone who has had multiple experiences where I should've died (seriously, I dont know how I'm still alive) this was fun the listen to. I can't remember the first time I almost died because I was less than a week old, but the second time I got hit by a semi truck on the interstate, spun the direction that defied physics, and hit the median without a single physical injury to anyone in the car (there was four of us in a tiny Mazda). Also, it was -1 degrees outside and the only part of the car that stilled worked was the heating, like, what the heck?! Thanks for reading my story :)
Little back story- I'm 21 now, but I rode dressage competitively from when I was 6 until I was almost 13. So, this one time my younger sister and I were on our way to our riding lesson after school on a Friday (I believe I was around 10 or 11 at this time), and it started thundering and lightning. Our instructor was all "oh it's fine, your lesson's going to be in the indoor arena today anyways!" The indoor arena was about a 1/3 of a mile walk from the barn. So, I have my Arabian thoroughbred Danny in the crossties and I'm picking his hooves, and the thunder and lightning has gotten absolutely HORRIBLE at this point. Danny's ears are twitching and he's acting terrified. All of a sudden, lightening hits a nearby tree (right next to the back entrance of the barn). There's and explosion of sparks, and Danny absolutely FREAKS OUT. He rears up, ripping the crossties completely out of the wall, and wouldn't you know it but I end up getting kicked in the head by his left front hoof. He runs out the doors and I go flying backwards, knocked unconscious. Luckily, I only ended up with a bad concussion, but it could've been SO much worse.
the title lmao 😭 anyways this is gonna be fun, especially to listen to while waiting for my dads surgery to be over :) perfect timing and day too. hope you have a wonderful day/night and stay safe & hydrated !!
Happy 20th! Love your vids! Hope that evil spirit that wants to kill you doesn't strike again. Anyways, My near death experience was a while back when I didn't think right. I was with my best friend and we both wanted to ride but were super dumb and lazy to just put a bridle and helmet on (we both weren't wearing helmets and riding in rope halters with lead ropes as reins. Then i did something that looked like i was lunging another horse while on a horse. Then my friend called my mom cuz I was away and my mom wanted to see how I was doing. My mom didnt even notice we werent riding safely. My friend was showing her that thing I did with the two horses on facetime and over facetime I fell off and my horse almost ran over me. I fell in a really weird way and my horse was this close to trampling on me. The funny part was my mom called my coach cuz i fell and then my coach found out and well the whole thing was super funny but embarrassing. 🤭🤣 Lesson learned: Always ride safely.
when i was younger (under the age of 10), if a car was driving towards where i was (example: outside of walmart), i'd crouch down onto my knees to where the person driving most likely couldn't see me and i'd pretend to fix my shoe, i did this because i found it fun if nobody noticed and haven't pulled me away i most likely wouldn't be typing this rn
I almost died on my very last riding lesson (because we had to save money and horse lessons was sadly one of the things that had to go) when I was about 13-14 when the mare I was riding on a trail ride got spooked by a riding mower that one of the people on the neighboring property was using. Not only is the mare galloping full speed back to stable’s property while throwing in an occasional buck, but my helmet was apparently not tightened enough that day and my helmet slid off my head. Stupid young teen me who has no upper body strength whatsoever somehow thought I could slow her down by pulling back on the reins instead of grabbing on the mane and hanging on, which in all honesty looking back probably would not have made much of a difference considering what happened next. I rode mainly Western at the time (heavy saddles and no upper body strength are a fun mix) and during one buck, the saddle horn jams into my rib cage on the left side of my chest. I had never felt such immense pain in that part of my body before and understandably started sliding off the horse. I fell off HARD into the grass - so hard in fact that I thought I had died. Riding instructor and the guy on the mower both come up to me to make sure I’m ok and I think I just kinda lay there for a moment in the grass. Riding instructor then calls for someone to come pick me up in their truck and take me back because I was in so much pain from the saddle horn and the hard fall that I had a hard time walking for a bit (mower guy did offer to take me back in his truck but I turned I’m down because I thought I was able to get back on my own but I was not lol). So I get driven back to the property and the first thing I ask is "Is Velvet (the mare) ok?" And everyone’s like "Yeah Velvet’s fine." And somehow I managed to get back on Velvet and finish the lesson albeit in a lot of pain. My mother was upset because no one told her how bad the fall was while we were there, I told her on the way home. We did not go to the hospital. Would you believe the only injuries I had from that fall were severely bruised ribs (we assume because again we didn’t go to the hospital), a skinned left knee, a scraped left elbow, and broken glasses? It’s also a miracle I fell in the grass because if I had fallen off the other side of the horse, I would’ve probably split my head on the pavement. How all of my injuries were on my left side when I fell off of Velvet to the right I will never know and never question because it could’ve been so much worse.
there was this one time that i was cantering on this rlly stubborn horse, charlie, and it was my first time cantering. i was young so i was terrified. i wasn’t paying attention and my feet slipped out of the stirrups. i panicked, and my trainer was like “bro calm down, it’ll be alright, he’s a stubborn horse anyways” aaand of course i couldn’t, me being the scaredy cat i was. and then, i was proved right, charlie swerved and ran full speed towards the exit. he jumped over the door thing and turned out to be too tall for it. i ended up hitting the ceiling and getting a concussion. i’m fine now tho lmao
I was volunteering at this stable and it was going okay for a few weeks then the owner of the place just started getting really mean to me for no reason. Sometimes she would tell me to do something in a stern voice and I'd pause for a moment because I'm really slow and she'd yell at me for pausing to think when she would ask me something or tell me to do something. Mind you I wasn't getting paid a cent. There were other girls working there, all older than me and most of then were.. Okay to me but later on they would stare at me while they whispered to each other and one time they went into the feed room and shut the door behind them (which they never did until we were done and we weren't) and they started talking. Me trying to be respectful I went on with what I was doing I tried not to listen but I swear they said something about me. AT this point I've forcefully forgotten a lot but they were defiantly saying something. But the last day I was there, I was leading an older mare back into a paddock (Btw, I knew pretty much nothing about horses and how to be safe around them besides not going behind them) and I was alone, I lead her in and she wouldn't go all the way in, I tried clicking and slowly closing the gate to get her to go in but she wouldn't and spooked at the gate and ran out and kicked at me. In the moment I was just on auto pilot but later on when someone helped me get her back in I went into the feed room shaking while I looked for a water and tried to calm myself. I sat down on something and as soon as I came to I just started sobbing. I almost hyperventilated. The girl that helped me get her back in (Wasn't a big help by yelling at me though) walked into the feed room getting some food for a horse and saw me and asked if I was okay. I shakily got the words out that she almost kicked me and she said "Oh." The "Boss Lady" came in a bit later and asked what was wrong and I told her and she looked just so annoyed and told me that I probably scared her and that this stuff happens. I Just wanted to go home at that point and never come back, and I didn't. If I hear the "Oh well that's what a job is like and you're going to get yelled at" I'm going to scream. I wasn't getting payed, okay? It was ridiculous. Also, If I were just a few inches closer to that horse I wouldn't gotten kicked in the stomach/chest. Screw you, (boss lady), screw you. Oh I also almost got run over, so that was nice as well.
when i was younger i was at home and was suddenly hit with a super bad stomach ache and ended up throwing up. stomach aches r normal so i didnt think anything of it but the pain wouldnt go away. the next day i was still feeling miserable so my mom took me to the ER and i ended up having a ruptured appendix and had to go into emergency surgery. this stuff needs to be treated fast so if I hadn’t gotten surgery that day i probably wouldnt have lived to see the next. kind of scary to think about now lol
One time when i was pretty young id say 6 or something my parents took me too this beach, it was a pretty windy beach so the waves were massive and i got a bit too comfortable near the the water and out of nowhere when me and my brother were playing in the sand a giant wave came rushing towards us my brother started running but I kinda just froze there and the wave went over me and took me out into the sea and my dad and to run into the water grab me by the leg and swim back to shore, I thought I would never see land again
I was riding my Shetland in the paddock with my dad who knows nothing about horses and I went back galloping not galloping cantering over the jumps/trees I fell off and nearly died😂😂
Amelia you are a great inspiration for Brazil. One question is how to install these mods to make the floor look like it rained and the background blurry. Your videos are very good.
i have two times when i almost died 1st time is when i was born my umbilical cord was wrapped around neck i was blue and purple the second time is when i was 11 i was riding a horse named April with my friend and we had the genius idea to get on together April bucked and i was in front and i went flying and hit my rib cage on a barrel that they made into a feeding trough i couldn't breathe for like two minutes
Oh something that happened to me is when my pony, Forrest, and I were doing Liberty work and I had gotten him all riled up, so I started running and he followed, then bolted ahead, and just like Amelia, he was ONE FRICKEN INCH from hitting my head, I actually caught it on video so… BTW I WAS BURSTING OUT LAUGHING WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND I WAS FINE ( btw I did NOT have a helmet so if he kicked me I would probs die) 😂😂😂😂
Once, I was with my older sis and my Nan and I crossed the road to get to my Nan, then crossed back to my sis, then my Nan, but when I was going to my Nan, A CAR, NEARLY HIT ME ( that was boring sorry ) ❤
I don't remember this obviously, as I was a baby but for a little context, we have a very steep driveway. I live in a small rural-ish neighborhood so we are surrounded by woods, and at the bottom of our driveway, past the (short width wise) road, there's this huge like, gulley? Idk. Anyway, I was tiny, like in a stroller level tiny which is kinda where this story comes from. Not so sure what happened but all i know from being told the story is that my stroller was not locked in the wheels. I must not have been far enough up the driveway, as I began to roll. Now, credit to my dad because he noticed and BOOKED IT down the whole ass driveway to come to catch me, which he did, narrowly LMFAO. Had he not caught me, I probably would have launched INTO said gulley, and um, not had such a good time. Anyway, that was a whole random rant about my babyhood near-death experience.
Sooo the time I almost died… Well I had just gotten a scooter (this was when I was like 7-8) and I went to my granddads drive away since it was smooth and paved, not knowing there was a pothole. I loved it until one time I went on the side of the pothole, and my scooter landed in it, stopped, and flipped. My hip landed directly on a rock and let’s just say I had to be carried into the house and couldn’t move my leg till the morning.. and I told everyone I was fine 💀
Sorta graphic read at your own risk Another time, there is a bump where it transitions hard floor-carpet in my brothers room. Well it’s sharp in the ends.. so I was running there and literally nearly cut the top of my toe off (just the VERY top). I thought I just stubbed my toe.. so I went back to the kitchen and my mom was cutting strawberries, and I thought the bl00d was strawberry juice 😭
The first time i allmost died it was like i was using one of those electric bikes and at first it was going normal but then the 2-3 laps i lost control and there was like a big pond sooo i just crashed on a tree so that i dont fall to the water and i just came back walking on my barefoot to my dad and like i was laughing bc how i just came from nowhere walking😂. The second time i was in a horse lesson and i fell when trotting and i thought i was gonna die bc i was sooo close to the hooves of the horse and i thought i was gonna be stepped by the horse and i just stood right next to the horse and after a few mins i finally get up again
One time when I was like 4 (I barely remember this) me and my family were walking along this dam near our house. Its a lake dam, so its huge and it drops down like 60 feet. Anyway, freaking stupid 4 yo me decides to climb over the rail and walk along the opposite side holding the bars with half my feet hanging off the edge. Lucky my brother grabbed me and Im somehow still living! 😅 There have been many many other close calls, especially in my childhood since I was a stupid kid. 😂
I’ve almost died twice in my lifetime so far but the first time I was like four and we were going camping and we just showed up at the site and my parents were unpacking and I thought I was the coolest person ever so I was skipping around and I tried to jump over my dogs leash…so I tripped and I fell on the fire ring…um it was in between my eyes and the fire ring was rusty😅 and the camp rangers had to come and an ambulance came. The doctors said if i fell any higher or lower on my nose I probably would’ve died😂 and I still have a scar. And the second time I was like eleven and i was at lunch at school and I started choking on a popcorn chicken thing lol
My dad almost killed me with his car. So basicly what happened is that i was at the back of the car smelling the petrol bc i love the smell of petrol lol and my dad sits in the car waiting for me and when he tought i left he started coming and i blacked out but then i was crying the sh1t out of myself standing next to my mom on the porch. I honestly dont know what happend after i blacked out
I can't think of many but I did hit my head a few times and fell over in primary school (I live in the UK) I fell forwards on my bike, I got deep cut from my cat who got scared of my aunties hair dryer noises, these things wouldn't kill me so I guess I'm over exaggerating 😂
When I was three years old, I was playing with legos, then I went "huh, I wonder if I could eat this." So I tried swallowing it like the stupid kid that i was. Then i started choking on it, luckily my mom was right there, and took it out of my mouth. :')
So this is the time I almost died well not really but I could've anyway this is the story, so I was 4 years old and it was like my 10th or my 11th lesson and I had just learned how to canter but you have to keep in mind I was riding this 17 hand tall mare and then there I was 4 year old me so the first half of the lesson was really good until I was asked by my trainer to try cantering so I did we were in a pretty small arena at the time and as I came up to a corner and right when I was turning I lost my balance and fell off i luckily didn't get hurt. My mother who was watching said it looked like I was trick riding and I ment to fall off Idk if that is a good or bad thing lol. Anyways thank reading my story. BTW I'm now 10 and still riding horses.
one time, (a few times actually but I'm just putting one here) I almost died as well. it was early summer, and we had a camper. this was connected to the shed that we had set up to the power grid. we set up the camper so that it would have electricity, but that winter the snow plow had cut the cord, and we turned it off. the problem is that we have a bathroom in the shed. How is this important? well, we live in a place where the pipes will freeze if not turned off during winter. my Mom had just turned them back on, and my bro was like, oh! a circuit board! let me touch that! and he did. well, I was right next to the severed wire. the same one that my bro just turned on. it was thrashing like a snake and sparking. if I had not jumped up and back, I would not be typing this. the members of the construction crew that my neighbor's own all called my brother Sparky the next year-and-a-half🤣
i know 30 year olds that are still kids at heart. 20 is still very much a kid in many peoples eyes. we barely have our lives together in this day and age & economic climate. sure i have responsibilities and do adult things, but that doesn’t mean i have to “stop being a kid” and be miserable. ur comment is confusing af lmao i genuinely can’t tell if im being insulted or not. turning a specific age doesn’t just flip the child like switch in your head off. especially in your early 20’s.
How on earth were you ok- I mean good for you but like srsly!
I almost drowned, but that seems like nothing compared to your story- 😅
I wouldn't call drowning nothing!
@@ClementineRiverbank well, compared to your story!
Main character moment? Lol

When I was a kid I almost stuck a fork into a toaster because my bread was stuck My uncle stopped me if it wasn't for him.I would be dead😂

"she has abuse charges" JUST SO CASUALLY OMG
Happy birthday Amelia when I turned 10 I just did not want to turn.🎉
The way she just casually talks about her almost dying and her old trainer having abuse chargers lol😭

I honestly dont know what happend after i blacked out
A NEW VIDS!! ❤ Love you Amelia ❤🎉🎉❤
Happy 20th birthday!
I almost died too because I was eating a grape and when it went down my throat it got stuck
That’s fun
Jokes aside hope u was ok
I can't think of many but I did hit my head a few times and fell over in primary school (I live in the UK) I fell forwards on my bike, I got deep cut from my cat who got scared of my aunties hair dryer noises, these things wouldn't kill me so I guess I'm over exaggerating 😂
I almost died because my horse threw me off and almost got killed
OMG hopefully your okay
When I was three years old, I was playing with legos, then I went "huh, I wonder if I could eat this." So I tried swallowing it like the stupid kid that i was. Then i started choking on it, luckily my mom was right there, and took it out of my mouth. :')
Can we get a part 2? 👀
I just realize it premieres in two days lol
Part 2 please!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
one time, (a few times actually but I'm just putting one here) I almost died as well. it was early summer, and we had a camper. this was connected to the shed that we had set up to the power grid. we set up the camper so that it would have electricity, but that winter the snow plow had cut the cord, and we turned it off. the problem is that we have a bathroom in the shed.
Why do u sound Like Violet Flowergarden😭 RIP Violet😭

I used to always watch her and now she has passed away I finally found her after going through a stage when I wouldn’t go on SSO

Turn an actual grown up at 18 and stop being a kid at 18 , but I feel like u should stop being a kid at 20. Like what?
i know 30 year olds that are still kids at heart.
Pin if I tricked you
