The House of Bernarda Alba goes tacky??? What WAS that? And the colored chicken feather coats? Just because it’s glamorous doesn’t make it less vulgar.

The setting was/is gorgeous, and many of the fashions were wonderful. Then they threw in what appeared to be a child's costume for a grade school production where they had to be a tree. And the billowing parachutes looked like they came out of a spy movie where a female spy parachutes behind enemy lines, and then wears the gathered-up parachute as part of her outfit to sneak into a country...
