How did you add the other gauges for oil temp and trans.

I don't remember exactly now, but there are settings within the gauge cluster menu to enable different screens. I find it to be a weird setup, first you have to enable the screen, then in a different settings screen you select which one shows up on the display.

I must have missed it. How much is the weight of the trailer? I am looking at a 2024 tundra to pull a trailer about 6000-6100. Was going to tow a camper for full time RVing but then unhooking and need TRD off-road stuff too.
Trying to get an idea what all options ect I need to minimize away and also have off road capability.

This trailer is only 4,700-4,800 lbs. However it has a massive frontal area. Most new trailers will be much more aerodynamic than this one. You should have no problems with a 6k lb GVWR trailer.
Be sure to get a high quality weight distribution hitch, and have it properly set up. I always recommend Equal-i-zer as they offer the highest product quality and customer service in my experience. With a properly set up weight distribution hitch you should have no problems towing a trailer that size with a TRD Pro, or just about any other Tundra for that matter.

    No distribution hitch?

No, I had that in the intro, but it's also later on in the video so I deleted the early one to reduce the length.
I never use a weight distribution hitch for these tests because I want to see how stable the tow vehicle is. I have access to Equal-i-zer brand hitches which have really good sway control along with weight distribution. My recommendation is to always use a weight distribution hitch with sway control when towing a high profile trailer, especially these camping trailers that are pretty light with a high center of gravity.

I don't know why you're driving so fast with a trailer I would keep it at about 55 mph and you would get much better mileage too

You are 100% correct from a fuel mileage and towing stability standpoint. The higher the speed the less stable the setup, and of course lower mpgs.
I prefer 65-70 mph (I know I went over that in this video, but typically I don't) for towing. Usually 5-10 mph below the speed limit on freeways in the west. That gets me to my destination in about 20% less time compared to 55mph (if it's a long trip, this matters, if it's under 60 miles, not so much). Another reason is to not impede on the flow of traffic. One vehicle going 55 mph in the far right lane can cause traffic to build up across all lanes in a short amount of time. This mostly happens from people not watching traffic far enough ahead and making lane changes early (which one person IS NOT responsible for how another person drives).

Toyota will get past the issues. Every manufacturer has teething issues with new products. The main bearing and machine shavings issues will be resolved.
