Mate, thank you for this video. You explained what I needed to know without going overboard, and I appreciate that. I "mained" a Mana Battery (Necro) and a Bard in EQ, and I am looking forward to doing the same in Pantheon.
Glad to hear this! I am trying to make compact class overviews to give you a quick rundown. I am currently editing the Shaman version keep an eye our for its release if you are interested.
Sir Micheal: We must avenge my slain brother. Who's with me? Paladin: I'll bring my sword! Dwarf: ...and I'll bring my axe! Elf: ...and I'll bring my bow! Necromancer: ...and I'll bring your brother.
You can play the game now, nov 2024- dec 1st, with a supporter level pledge, or wait for early access in December 2024. Pledge includes beta access and full game. Necro looks sweet i went with shaman tho , love my wolf pet
Looks like they shifted some damage into lifetap in exchange for a reduced healing coefficient but it's otherwise the same class. Seems they'll still be sub par in groups which is unfortunate. I would've liked to see some short duration dots, nukes that cost HP like a mini life burn,a way to consume dots for burst damage, or a way to quickly apply dots like wow warlocks soul swap. Something to help with grouping throughput in exchange for efficiency.
Yeah, hopefully they do add something like that. It always felt like Necros were gutted unless they were against Undead. Maybe the curses will make up for it, im not sure what they all entail. We can still heal allies, while being an off tank concept that can do fairly okay CC, but I think it depends on if the mob is undead? Not sure root is ideal for CC at all, depends on how it works in Pantheon. Swapping HP for buffs to your Pet, using HP for healing or dmg, then using mana for getting HP back, along with a DoT or curse that gives you HP slowly that you could put on one of the side targets, would make for some fun and varied gameplay. Add in controlling your pet, managing mana deciding which DoT to use, if you could consume them for burst, vs healing someone, vs using Lifetap. It would be a lot going on that would keep a Necro player interested. Hopefully we get some additions.

@@t.s.adrian8785 I'd hit like more than once if I could... 😂😂😂
Very informative. I can't wait to try Necromancer when Pantheon opens up for everyone.
You arnt playing now tho ?
@bobthor9647 Trying to finish my master's classes, then I can really get my game on.
Definitely a nifty class. Reminds me of the lock in WoW. Can't wait to try the game out, when it's released.

Cool video
Does the necro ever get any summons other than the skeleton?
They get versions of the skeleton currently but the look is the same for now. I would assume they would have some variation in look when completed.
Seems pretty standard for the class. Might be my go to dps
Yep, I wish there were a few small adjustments but overall the kit looks solid!
Are you excited on upcoming early access?! What class are you going to play?
Cleric is definitely my thing.
@@arthaxunleashed From what I've seen I'll probably start with the necromancer.
Ogre

Paladin 100%. Unfortunately I am going to be playing PoE2 this month, because timing, wcyd. However, next Month will be my Pantheon month.
Good Video
Just me or is this just a group of people trying to remake Everquest?
Not completely but their founder was the co creator of EverQuest... They are influnced by EQ for sure! Its got a lot of uniqueness in its own right.
