Great Mace my beloved... My favorite weapon in the game, it's so beautiful and effective. If Great Stars had a non-rusty variant, I'd love that weapon too, but Great Mace is beautiful. Also just a tip: The Running One-Handed R1 on great mace (and other great hammers) is a lot better for roll catching than the two-handed variant, and it can even chain roll catches if you input it directly after catching them with a previous running R1, though it's more consistent to time it when they've panic rolled once already.
I've been invading a lot less and helping a ton of Pvmers with hard areas. The fights I've been in have been really crazy so far, and I've been loving it. Might go back to invading soon though.
I myself am more of a greatsword man, but I kinda love the greatmace, it´s look, feel and especially it´s sound. Use it against Crystallians, sometimes Giant Crabs, etc. Never used it in PvP so far, but WOW, that seems way less clunky now than before. Looks like the update was great for great hammers, too. Praise the update !
I stopped playing elden ring a while ago but your vids have always been super entertaining and keep me engaged in the community. Realy love the content and its great watching someone as good as you play❤
I just finished up a playthrough where I wanted to be a pyromancer, so I did that and used the Cranial Candlestand weapon. It turns out that during co-op/hunts at least, many invaders, who naturally draw close after seeing a fireball tossed, don’t expect/naturally understand the ash of war. It’s an explosive sphere aoe centered on you, but the animation shows you hitting the ground with the weapon first before exploding. Many fell for it. It does high damage being an ash of war, shard of Alexander made it chunk. It worked especially well after throwing some of the melee fire spells at them and regular attacks to mix up timings. It has some commitment, once it’s erupting you’re standing there for just under a second before you can roll out, but it’s quick enough to not be as bad a liability as it could be. It also has cool lore; it is literally a very committed Prelate’s head, he wanted others to be capable of wielding his own strong faith. Since we can’t do the same thing with the same hat. What a generous guy. It’s definitely one of my favorite weapons now. Mantis blade stays on top though.
13:20 , „Rennala my queen needs me and my wizardry, I must go“ 😂 Bro that’s hilarious I just made a Pyro strength build with that Prelate Head Greathammer weapon that I never used before and well… just noticed the patch made them faster. What can I say, I love it, plus i can KRAKATAUAAAA as well 😂
The two haligtree knights near that bonfire are legitimately harder than most bosses in elden ring. Infinite poise, lotsa HP, deals immense damage, and also spams greatbow arrows from afar. They are hard, especially with that annoying ass Rotten Avatar
Dual rot hammers a la strength! For once I did a thing Chase also did! I’m about 50% as fast with weapon swaps now after catching on at the DS3 second DLC point. Thanks for the content! Cheers from WA!
Idk why (I love all the weapons) but for some reason this is my favorite weapon of them all just look how solid it is im so glad it got buffed finally. The great hammer (mace)
So the pickaxe actually uses Fran data from the greataxe moveset. While it did get buffed, it didn’t get the same treatment as the other greathammers in terms of attack speed. In other words, it’s slightly slower than all other greathammers currently
Do you prefer invasions over duels? I prefer you doing invasions personally because I think they're more interesting to watch. But I was asking mostly because I'm curious.
Surprised I never saw a Great Stars on ya. That creeping bleed can be quite handy wif a stronk bonk build. Or be a cancer and use bloodflame blade with it.
I love it when these people using a sleep build, abusing phantom build up, get mad bcs you used the shield and the talisman to raise your sleep resistance by a lot and you have the sleep boluses ready as well. They really need to do something about sleep, it's a little too busted
I'm honestly still saddened to see what has become of the great mace. it was so big and had quite a bit of range in dark souls 3 but the elden ring one feels kind of wimpy
Do you tend to find about the amount of invasions at 138 as you do at 150? I've been toying around with ideas for builds that aren't just straightforward sole strength or dex and thinking 150 would be comfy, but I don't wanna lose out on too much action.
I’ve seen a lot of people suggest to go up to 168 since it misses the 150 bracket and you tend to get a lot of NG+ coopers playing through all over the place, so you’re not invading in front of radagon’s door 80% of the time
If you're on PS 125-150 is pure setup ganks, fog walls, and lobbies full to the brim of OP AoW spam. Personally I prefer 70/80, 30 is okay for a change of pace, and have been fine with 180-200. 😃
just curious about when chase talks about the "rolling attack"--when displaying it, he does not roll, and it is different from all the other attack animations. genuinely lost here, was it a mistake, or a cancel somehow? if anyone could explain I'd appreciate it, thank you in advance
I liked the slow animation for heavy’s and colossals cause it gave them some sort of visual realism in movement. Now it’s becoming more like anime style superpowerstrikes
Love the content, have been coming back and watching more of your videos after taking a break from Elden Ring ND Elden Ring content. Only thing I gotta say is, homie, take a breath. Another weapon that glows is the St Trina's Torch
Exactly, they are great

It would be cool to see Chase play with builds/characters that have been created and submitted by Subscribers.
This! Or do some kind of spin the wheel on weapons and ashes!

Essentially unreactable if you play unlocked-camera and line it up properly.

As a greathammer enthusiast since day 1, I've been waiting for this. The mega bonk shall never die.
I must confess, I laughed pretty hard when Chase had to stop and go 'Wait, what happened to the host???'

can we get a video explaining how the net code works and how u know when to dodge/parry early/late based on connection???
13:17 “my people need me “
Is this where I recommend St. Trina's Torch?
I recommend testing the scepter of the All Knowing
Did chase mention why he no longer does duels? That was my favorite part of these videos.
1:38 did my man just say "Walmart turn"
The two best hammer attacks are the ds3 r2 and the ds2 rolling attack. For some reason, neither of those attacks are implemented in Elden ring.
the large club one handed R2 from DS1 was my favorite move, so much reach and really quick
Very glad that guy didn't get to fog wall in the first invasion
13:08 he was just on a higher level, quite literally
Dual rot hammers a la strength! For once I did a thing Chase also did! I’m about 50% as fast with weapon swaps now after catching on at the DS3 second DLC point. Thanks for the content! Cheers from WA!
Excalabaaaaa: Attempts to hide and then fight 3v1 when that fails.
Also Excalabaaaaa: Bows.
Also, also Excalabaaaaa: Runs and heals repeatedly.
Idk why (I love all the weapons) but for some reason this is my favorite weapon of them all just look how solid it is im so glad it got buffed finally. The great hammer (mace)
You should try St. Trina's torch! Heard its good from a few people...
7:23 God, I just realized I actually invaded these same guys a few days ago. Got the summon down, but ended up killing my co-invader… 😭
black knife showcase is what im bonking for
13:14 The real wizard
Loving this weapon, the running R2 is a roll catch machine
The big bonks are finally bigger and bonkier
When Chase said "Get hit by this D***" I really felt that 6:04
and when you think you see all the wizard can do

Isn't the Pickaxe technically a greataxe even if the menu says otherwise?
It uses the greataxe moveset.
Ngl, I found the mimic crown guys (EXCALIBAAAAAAH) funny.
Ringed Finger weapon showcase is needed!
This patch also did not affect St. Trina's Torch for it is unbuffable
Great hammers are my favorite glad they got buffed
I still need a Bramd or a Grant tho
Finally speeding up the heavy weapons. Good grief about time.
Imo heavy weapons should always be less viable in PvP. You need to play well for the big hits. They are mostly intended for PvE stance break
@@stu.chainz Is this for pvp only or for pve? I only care about pve. I can understand your point tho.

Nothing says Big smash like a good old fashioned butt slam. Lol
I'm honestly still saddened to see what has become of the great mace. it was so big and had quite a bit of range in dark souls 3 but the elden ring one feels kind of wimpy
Not complaining, but why does a mace nearly the size of my torso weigh less than the zweihander?
I'd like to see you do a stream just going in as a blue

138 hits meta 125 and off meta 150 rl which means more invasions than invading at 150
I’ve seen a lot of people suggest to go up to 168 since it misses the 150 bracket and you tend to get a lot of NG+ coopers playing through all over the place, so you’re not invading in front of radagon’s door 80% of the time

Crouching attack is the same as rolling attack.
