unpopular opinion the 350 v1 is my favorite yeezy ever made followed by 500
Pirate blacks are OG. I, as a sneakerhead, would obsessively look at images of Kanye wearing them and envision them on my feet. V2s are bulkier, more comfortable, and fit better IMO but the V1s hit the nostalgia too hard. I gotta rock the V1s over V2s, plus everyone has V2s nowadays.
It’s a tough choice for sure! Can’t blame ya for the nostalgia!
Hi! Thanks for the review :) I was wondering if the heel area of the pirate blacks ever hits against your heel when walking? I've only had V2s, and obviously the heel area is slanted away from my heel, so no friction there.
I tried on the Pirate Blacks and they felt so thin with little support. I was not a fan of them in my opinion. Onyx are way better..V2s in general are

I’ve had the 2016 pair & honestly the material on the 2023 is way different, 2016 is more softer, 2023 sizing Is half size smaller lol
Should I go 1/2 size up or full size. I went 1/2 on the belugas and they were still tight
Man honestly, I got two pairs of the pirate blacks and the just seem so…… flat?
I came to watch on feet so I can see if it’s just my kankles or if they look like that across the board…. Definitely prefer v2. It’s cool to have a v1 but I don’t want $230 just sitting in a box not getting used
I agree…I wanted the V1 so bad because I never was able to get them before but I love everything on the V2 so much more. Yeah the boost is the same but it didn’t have the “bounce” to it as the Onyx did for me. Thank you for the comment!
I prefer the looks of the V1 more because they are more subtle and don’t look too big on your feet like the V2s.
However the comfort is unmatched on the V2s and is miles ahead of the V1s.
