Remember what Ambessa told Mel: "If you want to last in this world, you must learn to be both the fox and the wold." I guess this is Ambessa being a fox for a change.
The second time she pulls the trigger, the glitch causes her rocket to explode mid air. Jinx also wanted Vi to kill her, so she planned a colorful explosion as her last f u message to Piltover. That's why she is angry at the kid for "ruining" her plans.
20:53 If Caitlyn was so sure she wouldn't miss, she wouldn't feel the need to have Vi get off Jinx before shooting. The kid was even closer than Vi was.
She was testing her, the "look" Cait had after their kiss is a look of suspicion. Vi telling her sister is gone etc. but Cait knows she'll backpedal and will be in her feels hence why Cait said one of them will get back in a box. she was testing Vi is her words we're true.
@@rafaelcornelio562 Not to enter an argument, but that doesn't make much sense to me. Vi was already going to deliver the killing blow when the kid got between them (she was halfway through the punch) and Caitlyn saw that. Cait was obsessed with revenge, she just wanted Jinx dead. Shooting her head off would definitely come before testing if Vi was ready to let that happen (that test would be meaningless if she was going to shoot Jinx anyway). Vi was more worried about not letting Caitlyn become like her sister and losing her too.
@@mauriciofreitas1971 nah, you're overlooking some nuances here. she was vengeful before the talk and the kiss. after that and hearing what Vi has to tell she calmed down and put trust to Vi's words (sister is gone, this has to end, etc." before the final blow you are saying, it was the shot at jinx's finger. it was to stop Jinx on hitting Vi's back. After that she folds her Gun's scope as if saying to Vi to finish it and prove her words. Then Vi hesitated and Isha came in. That's the time Cait decided to put the responsibility to end things with her own hand because she knew Vi cant really do it becuase shes her sister hence the "its her blood in your veins". Cait gave her every chance to do what she said she'd gonna do but failed miserably and ended up betraying Cait.
Honestly, the whole fight in the vents was looking like an elaborate attempt to suicide by cop on Jinx part. She was clearly ready to die in the end. It is a refined version of her grenade trick from her fight with Ekko in Ep.7.
19:32 Just to highlight something I found very interesting about Jinx in this scene: We know Cassandra had actually already built the ventilation system and that is why the people of the underground could breathe better air but Caitlyn slowly rereleased it from the big tank it was supposed to be left in. She used it the opposite way of how her mother captured it. Then in this scene, Sevika (following Jinx's plan) releases all the air that carries The Grey to the surface so that it cannot be used against Zaun. Piltover has more open air so it didn't affect them a lot though but at least the underground is safe from that now Jinx said it wasn't supposed to be this way because she had wanted to do this as an act of when she dies because she was ready to die in the fight. She had told Sevika to release it after that happens as a final good act (and a goodbye) from her. Let's remember that Jinx always plans to die; let's not forget the scene with Ekko. She herself confirms it: 'Cause no matter what I do, I just can't seem to die.' It seems like she is a jinx to everyone except herself. I guess in the next act we will see how this action of Jinx (who didn't plan to be alive to see it) impacts the population of Zaun and herself
Yes Cat could have missed… She missed in her initial shot when she shot Jinx’s finger… It baffles me on how many people are alright risking a child’s just to root for their fav character…
that was intentional, right on timing when Jinx was about to hit Vi on the back. She's just testing Vi's conviction with his words/reassurances. And also she loves Vi and gave her the benefit of the doubt to do the right thing. The "look" they noticed was as if Cait is not convinced with what Vi is saying.
Naw I disagree with you there… When she first went into find Jinx using the gas, she was aiming to kill and her intention or frustration showed in her shooting at the target angrily… But in the fight with Savika, she was rattled, fighting for her life and in season 1 in her training with the chief Grayson, it emphasized that to be dead on 100% a shooter has to be calm and focused, which she lacked both in her initial shot at Jinx… So, based on all that, from my perspective she missed… And hmmm I would not say it’s full love yet, because love endures and stands through all trails and stands the test of time… There is a strong attraction there, an infatuation, and I’ll go as far to say they are trying learn each other to fall in love… But for both not desire communication (a core principle of love) and Cait hitting her because of disappointment….that’s not quite love yet…. And lastly again the fight should be to protect and save the children, to even hint in putting a child at risk should be unacceptable…
@@chris14560 Exactly even if we know Cait is the best shooter out there that can't miss, there was a variable in the mix in that fight.
