    I loved your video.....no complaints......very informative simply by paying attention no dialog needed at this rate. I look forward to watching more of your posted video. Your technique demonstrated in this beginners video shows just how disciplined you are at your martial arts that you can do. Thanks , and keep up the good work sir.

    for being such close quarters {small room} sensei moves well , like a autumn breeze . very nice .

      when the musics over ahahaha nicely put...he is wonderful and there would be even more harmony if he closed the techniques faster, he has a flow but is pausing as soon as the uke is down so he leaves himself too exposed for an counterattack but i think he maybe does that for teaching purposes. Good job. Truly love this channel. Tnx

    Arrivo dal ninjitsu e da poco ho intrapreso l'aikido...queste figure sono eseguite in modo elegante e efficace....sembrano semplici da eseguire ma hanno bisogno di una buona tecnica....complimenti.

    Yesterday I passed the exam for 6th kyu and some of the techniques in the video were not included like sankyo or the last one. However we did the following: ikkyo,iriminage,shihonage,kotegaeshi and kokyu ho.

      Same techniques for my test

    • @ognugget19

      I took Aikido Kokikai and several of these techniques were excluded from the test. Generally irimi techniques were removed due to the reliance on timing and speed.
      I do not necessarily agree with it but that is my understanding of the technique presented

    These are the throws techniques and then when you are an advanced student you can finally learn the atemis which are the keys to win a fight.

    Is this the same in shodokan aikido?

    • @rhmayer1
      @rhmayer1 8 років тому

      Hi Jamie - yes and no. Shodokan (Tomiki) aikido does all these techniques, in some cases slightly differently but essentially the same, but we name them differently. But these are very advanced techniques for (our) 6th kyu. We start our 6th kyu beginners with much more basic stuff, mostly focusing on uchemi and basic footwork and taisabake (getting off the line of attack), with the intro to a few basic techniques to begin to explore fundamental principles. Where are you located? I might be able to recommend a dojo.
      Aikikai ikkyo = Tomiki oshitaeoshi
      iriminage = (hmm, closest in Tomiki might be) kuzushi ura waza's chudan aigamae-katatedori
      kotegaeshi = kotegaeshi
      sankyo = tenkai kotehineri
      shihonage = tenkai kotegaeshi (though we also often call it shihonage)
      udekiminage = maeotoshi
      Have fun!

    Sono un grande amante dell'aikido
    Conosco qualche tecnica
    Purtroppo nella mia città non è presente una palestra di aikido
    E mi verrebbe difficile spostarmi
    Quindi per adesso mi accontento della cintura nera di karatè shotokan

    Is there any other way to learn aikido moves by me self, with no partner? Can someone direct me to specific online courses that teach you how to do aikido and does not ask you to have a buddy to train on?

    • @euphoricness_4034
      @euphoricness_4034 7 років тому +1

      Nenad G No, aikido is all about partner work

    • @tavtav3526
      @tavtav3526 7 років тому

      Nenad G there's 5 point training in martial arts.
      1. Sparring
      2. Kata/form/single technique training that repeated many times
      3. Target training (wooden dummy, heavybag, bob dummy)
      4. Drilling/partner training
      5. Shadow boxing (doing technique on imaginary situation)
      Aikido doesn't incorporate number 1235 training types. It's mainly focused on partner training. So you must take aikido class or find partner.
