    Cinders Bio.
"With a sound that can only be described as "rowdy acoustic pop", Cinders blends acoustic textures, indie vocals, catchy melodies, and the frenetic live energy you might only find at a punk show.
The Salt Lake City, UT-based band formed in 2015 by high school buddies Jordan Zabriskie (Vocals / Acoustic Guitar), Montana Smith (Vocals / Electric Guitar), Adrian De La Cruz (Bass), and future friends Brad Bennett (Drums), and Austin Harris (Keyboard / Multi-instrumentalist), with Chelsey Powell (Saxophone / Vocals) completing the six-piece lineup in 2017.
Cinder's self-produced, self-titled debut LP hit the internet in 2016. SLUG Magazine called the collection “constant, feel-good energy from start to finish”, and songs from the album (including the standout tracks "Hope You Do" and "Last Year's Winter") garnered solid placements on streaming playlists in the indie pop, acoustic, and folk genres.
Looking Forward to Looking Back, their ambitious sophomore full-length (produced by Montana Smith), came out in the fall of 2018. Its explosive energy combined with darker themes serves as a fitting juxtaposition to the breezy, care-free optimism of their debut. Stars and Scars gave a positive review, saying it “embodies the complexity of contradictions.” Out From The Pine Box praised its “urgency” and “sense of wonder and magic.” Lead-off track "Tree House" seems ready-made for commercial radio with its incredibly catchy, sing-along chorus.
