You're so right! The same happened to me. She is clearly a lesbian. I don't really know why some (straight) people kind of prefer to believe there's a possibility she's not gay. She is, and no, it's not just to do with her style, or voice or whatever else some might call stereotypes. She just doesn't want her personal life to be public! It includes her sexuality. She isn't meant to carry a Pride flag using her personal life just because she is on the most important lesbian show ever.

She is comfortable enough to take on roles which may not be considered 'safe' (in Hollywood terms), the whole interview malarky is just an annoying necessity of the business she's in...
