MOST Enjoyable Road Trip from Sandakan to Kota Kinabalu!

- It's the best time to make road trip around places when air travels are banned and countries' border are locked down. Fortunate to have done a road trip from Sandakan to Kota Kinabalu right before the Sabah election in September, as CMCO has been reimplemented after the election due to hiked of covid19 cases in the state.
Although most of the footages are recorded inside the car, i still hope that this video will trigger your interest to visit Sabah one day...

hii! looks so pretty! Thinking about doing the same road trip. Do you know a good and reliable and affordable private driver who could drive me and my family from KK to Sandakan?
Hi Joris, glad to know that you are interested to visit the beautiful Sabah through my video! Unfortunately, I don't have any contacts for private driver as usually, I would suggest my friends to rent a car at the airport. Driving yourself around is more cost effective & you have the flexibility to stop by any tourist destinations. You can choose to return the car in Sandakan. I would recommend you to stay a night at Kundasang (Mount KK) area, so that you can have more time to visit a few interesting places around that area, and enjoy the nice scenery, cool fresh air and beautiful morning sunset at the mountain area (try get a hotel/resort that you can observe mount KK). Most hotels allow you to bbq too. I believed you can charter a taxi / van by engaging with tour company. You can try Google with key word "car rental" & / "charter van" in kk. You should be able to find some posts and contacts. Hope it helps! Good luck & have a wonderful trip ahead! 😉
