Your content just can't be beat! My neighbors ask me landscaping questions all the time, and from now on, i am just going to send them to your channel. You cover everything that anyone would need to know to be successful. Thank you and bravo! 👏👏👏

Oh and can you do a video on transplanting? I think a lot of beginners could benefit, and me too! Probably not the best time of year to ask, but just throwing it out there. Lol

I'm originally from Southern California, just had a house built in the forested hills 12 miles west of Willamina, OR., and experiencing gardener’s shock. 🤣 Different dirt, totally different plants and weeds, and areas of rough-graded soil have got this older do-it-yourselfer a bit overwhelmed. I started your coursework months ago and I love your system. Thank you for this post. I'm going to look at the plan I created and definitely divide it into numbered spaces to complete. Having a very wild and raw palette with different obstacles is a challenge, but I've never been one to shy away. The challenge I'm having is finding answers to my questions from someone who is familiar with this specific area and has expertise. I will persevere! Thanks again for your great guidance!

Thanks for the tips! I'm currently working on smothering out parts of my front yard lawn in anticipation of planting there next year.

Great tips! For your background, consider a bookshelf of garden books - it’s an Academy and those books you can be proud of! (The leaves near the cup look dead?) Maybe more plants in background? Well framed and lit! Classy T shirt! Just some observations as a fan.

Could you do a video about planting on slopes. My backyard goes down in the back and I’m worried about run off or even plants falling over time. It’s not a steep drop off but I know this is super common for a lot people and new construction homes that have incline or decline yards

I have watched a couple of your videos and decided to subscribe.. Your tips and approach all make sense (and you definitely have the credentials and expertise!), and you have a BALANCED presentations in regards to "controversial" stuff, and bring it all back to earth. I've been into gardening since I was in my pre-teens, 58 now. Life came around, and although I had created some nice scapes, life happened and had cut back on things I was doing. The gardens "maintained" their look but were getting hard to "tame." Time opened up, so some changes were made, and for the good. I'm in the process of "restoring" our back yard; We recently lost an above ground pool a couple of years to a neighbor's tree that pretty much totalled it... Ok, no problem, now we can build garden niches and create our little "haven" . That's going good, except for the area where the pool was.. We had someone come in to "fix" it, but really did not do much for reviving the area ("sandy") so I've decided to do it in patches... amending the area with compost/topsoil while adding "garden" niches... Have you produced any videos on such issues? Thank you again, and look forward to your other vids, Take care!

Hi! I love your videos. Two topics I’m trying to learn more about: landscape options for shady areas and pet-friendly plants. I have a big back yard that has a shady corner. I have lots of dogs coming through so I don’t want to fill them with Hostas. I am thinking of just putting dog stuff there but maybe there are other options 🤔 Anyway, thank you for the videos!

For garden beds laying fallow …suggestions for annuals? I’m thinking of placing a cardboard planter or coconut basket in the bed for some quick color and coverage that I can also easily pull out later? Zone 6.

Once I know the size of a tree, how far away should I plant it from the house? Such as a tree that grows 15 to 20 feet high and about 16 feet wide.

Hi, I've been binge watching your videos and loving them. Could you do a video on how to plant and design around a drain field. My back yard has a 20 x 40 drain field with an future drain field set aside next to it. They take up 2/3rds of my backyard leaving 1/3 left on the right side. I did have beautiful woods behind my house, but a developer just ripped out every tree. I bought several green giant arborvitae it plant along the back. I have about 25' from the end of the drain field to my fence line. I'm planning on planting the green giants 6' from the fence should this be enough room for them without bothering the drain field? Thank you!! 😊

We purchased a home and someone had planted azaleas right through the middle of the property. The house is in the middle and at an angle of our 1 acre property. We had to take out a lot of trees because they were rotting in the middle and we live in Florida..not good for hurricanes. Now we have a lot of azaleas that are 10 ft tall right in the way and are frying in the sun, any suggestions
