  • 📚 INFORMATION IN TODAYS VIDEO:
In Northern climates, all domestic animals need to have hay provided for them because all natural forage is covered in snow. So we have to haul and protect all the hay we provide for our goats all winter long.
It's a lot of work and it takes a lot of time but having a barn full of hay for livestock is a relief when the snowstorm is howling!

As a small child, I remember "helping" my dad and older brother with gathering hay for the winter. This year I got to do that with my sweet husband. Nice barn! We are having to make do with a shored up covered area of an old barn that is no more. We have the hay up off the ground on some boards and covered with tarps and bungee cords. Praying that will be okay as this is our first winter with goats. Thank you for taking the time to make your videos and sharing them with us!

❤️❤️❤️ What a fun play ground for your children! And wow, your dad 💪 I had a friend recently question why I had goats and did all this work now if there won’t be a food shortage and can just get food from stores. I told her that the goat milk is just that good and worth it every day! I guess some people just can’t grasp that in all labor there is profit.

👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed....I grew up on a farm in Iowa.....we put up a lot of those hay bales. Now a days the big bales have taken over. We also had some of the small round bales too that we rolled out in the winter for the stock cattle. I'm almost your Dad's age and can remember all those great memories.

I bet they are good memories :)
We have a big round baler but I’ve seen the small round bales! It seems like they would be easier to manage without a tractor.

You’ll have to give me some more information:
      1. What is his temperature?
      2. What are his symptoms?
      3. Have you done a fecal on him recently?
      4. Have you wormed him recently? (Remember giving wormer to a goat doesn’t automatically mean he doesn’t still have a worm problem-so doing another fecal will tell you the real story)

Thank you so much for responding The Vet took his temp it was normal 2 weeks ago he wasn't to familiar with goats ,horses yes! He had some worms he gave me a bottle of wormer with iron said he was a Anemic This was new to me he always eat. His tail had fanned out so a friend said he needed copper I gave him one copper pill I know you can give them to much so I am going to wait to give him any more I started him on new feed he will not touch the old he now will not eat the new feed. I brought probodics treats plus vitamin B12 plus wormer for his feed. I start him on Pedialyte cause he is getting weaker. He just nimbs alittle and stands or lays by his self. I give him fresh hay cause he will not eat anything outside Should I take him to a different vet. I have done everything I know what to do. I'm thinking he might of eat some molded feed about a 8 or 9 weeks ago thats when I started seeing a change. I keep fresh feed but it has been continues heat and rain and thing mold fast here very damp.

It can take them a bit if time to recover when they are sick wether it’s from worms, anemia from worms or nutritional deficiencies.
In my resources or under my videos there should be a link to a free anemia course. That may be a place to start in getting his anemia under control.
But I’d look at his poop under a microscope again and see if the wormer did it’s job. Sometimes they don’t. So even though they are “wormed” there are still worms.
Because the goat isn’t eating much it’s probably not producing enough vitamin b and would benefit from some until he’s eating properly. And giving nutridrench would help give him added nutritional support during this time.
