Working With Older Babies After Lockdown | Newborn Photography

Today we are working with 5 week old baby girl traveling all the way from Clermont, FL. I captured her brothers and now it’s her turn. Thanks to COVID we lost some time with our newborns but I am determined to get amazing shots for any baby at any age with some modifications.

When i took photos of older babys, i had often problem that they cry too much.. do you have a tip for crying baby?

I honestly just take as much time as needed. I work with alot of older babies because they are often turned away. My normal newborn session is 2 hours. My older babies take anywhere between 3-4 hours. They dont settle as easy all the time. So just take you time, make sure they are well fed (milk drunk) and comfortable. Just take your time and try not to get too frustrated. Take the time you and baby needs to be safe. I like to use a heater for warmth and every now and again I rock the table back and forth. Babies enjoy motion still so keep that up.
