Except megaman got smart, and his first fortress boss was spiked wall man. Nobody ever made it past Mega Fortress stage 1.

The mid-boss of Mega Fortress one, Spiked Fall Man, was pretty hard too. Disappearing and reappearing spikes, and the walls constantly moved around so that the spikes would home in on you

Not only is this the best tune from the Classic series, it's the best series of stages in the Classic series, and Dark Man 1-4 are some of the best fortress bosses in the Classic series. Just more reasons this game will always remain my favorite Classic title.

This reminds me a lot of the music from Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Listen to "Sinking Old Sanctuary" from the CotM OST. You'll get the same vibe/style.

Honestly, I think chargeman sucks, despite the fact I love trains, chargeman just purely sucks because of the ability you get after you defeat him.
True that. Half the time, the Charge Kick doesn't damage enemies at all. I use it to go faster. If you want a good dashing weapon, play Megaman Unlimited and get the Comet Dash. That fucker is useful.
Charge Kick is pretty good in Megaman 8 Bit Deathmatch...even Power Stone kicks ass in that.
In that case, a lot of MM5's robot masters would suck too since their weapons aren't all that great either.
Power Stone? Which in my opinion is even worse than Charge Kick. At least Charge Kick has its place in speedruns, you can barely even kill Charge Man with this thing (not that he's all that tough to begin with).

Mega Man 5's weapons in general leave to be desired outside of Gyro Attack and Gravity Hold, and especially since they buffed the mega buster/chrage shot and made the game's overall difficulty easier than usual, there's even less need for the special weapons now. I'm personally inclined to say MM5 competes with only MM3 for the worst special weapons in any of the classic series.
Could just be my experience tho.
