How to restore beat plastic - A guide to removing deep scratches and gouges from dirt bike plastic

Let's face it, you're a cheap SOB, and buying new plastic for your 10 year old barn thrasher isn't high on the "to do" list. That's cool with us, and sometimes you just need a simple trick to make something old pass for good again. Kinda like Sally Lynn and a few fireballs.
Anyway, ff you are on a budget, or are unable to get new plastics for your dirt bike or ATV then this tutorial will help you to remove surface damages in preparation for new decal graphics.
This method will not restore the shine of the plastic, it will only prepare the plastic to receive new decals.
DO NOT use this method on painted plastics as they are a different type of plastic.
