    Rob remember back in the day they had a set-up for ATVs that had a 12-v and 110 outlet so you could plug in anything you might need.

      There's a 12V external plug on the cowling and there's an option for a usb plug charger in the little glove box. I didn't get the option but I can still mount a plug there which I think I will. It has a rubber plug that you remove and add the usb plug. That way I can charge gopro batts or my phone. Stays nice and warm in there from the engine heat too. Thanks Man!

    Getting caught up, we had 4 days of ice about an inch thick, no power for 28 hours. So its nice to be back watching a few vids. I guess you'll need a few dry bags to keep stuff clean and dry.

      That sounds nasty Fred! Just really cold here for the last week. I've got lots of dry bags from canoeing. Need to get one to fit the chainsaw properly though. Thanks Fred!

    I had to change the fuel pump the first day, but now not a problem

      I heard there was some issues with the fuel pump, they need to redesign it. Thanks Dillon!

    I've been looking at that storage box. I was trying to figure out if I could mount two on the back sideways...So they open up towards the sides of the quad. I'm not 100% sure if the Linq system works that way..

      I looked at my rack and it would maybe just borderline work. The new rack I think extends a bit wider with the grab tabs so it might work. With these boxes you use the Linq mounts that you buy seperate. You can mount them where ever you want. The rack is very easy to drill and work. You'd just have to countersink the Linq bolts in a bit so that two bolt halves would reach each other. Good luck Todd, it's a great rack system!

    I'm planning on removing the cover on the front rack and mounting the fuel can in the front storage then mounting the duffle storage bag on top of the fuel can. In my eye it would protect the fuel can a bit in case of roll over.

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  5 місяців тому

      The depth from the top of the front rack to the bottom of the storage is 7" whereas the height of the fuel can to the top of the cap is 9.5". Not sure how the duffle storage sits. Hopefully it will work for you. Thanks Man!

      @RobFarrowATV my thinking is it will not be so exposed. I was looking at it in the dealership and the fuel caddy I want has the LinQ attachment on the top as well and there is a small soft shell storage the same size as the fuel can that if I put it on top will give me my storage back. Also not sure if you seen they make a chainsaw attachment that goes through the front rack and hides the blade down by the shocks which makes it much safer during travel.

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  5 місяців тому +1

      Ya I saw the chainsaw attachment but I like my front storage box and I pile my stuff on the rear rack so it wouldn't work for me. Hopefully your setup works out good for you. Happy Trails!

    I went with a rotopak gas can and mount only because it was cheaper but both are super expensive for just a gas can lol

      I agree with you there! Even that little box is $200...crazy expensive! Thanks Man!

    Not sure what's going to fit under that rack.. Maybe it's made to flip up to clean underneath . Just don't put your wallet under there. Might get wet or fall out.. Maybe bolt it down and leave it alone...(yeah I know its a prototype ) lol

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  6 місяців тому

      I have a tool bag under there, won't fall out and I've stuffed my jacket in there as well. Thanks Todd! You can also fit that small BRP box under there.

  • @Dusdaddy
    @Dusdaddy 6 місяців тому

    Just curious, did you think of mounting the Linq box under the rack cover? Then the gas tank on top? If tried to find a low toolbox like the ones sold at HD, Lowes, HF, etc. that would fit in that divot of the stock rack but the Linq box fits best.

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  6 місяців тому

      I did think of that but decided I want to store a bag of tools under there and have room to stuff a jacket or whatever in there also. I don't have to carry the gas can for shorter rides and I put my towing stuff in the brp box. Seems to work alright on the trails, no issues so far. Thanks Man!

    Can they make one that’s capable of holding the weight of a passenger? Or does anyone make one? I got a 2023 dps 700 and I can’t find any aftermarket accessories for it and would love to have something similar to this for a passenger to sit on. I’ve already made a seat cushion that fits in the hole but it would be better to have something made for it

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  6 місяців тому +1

      It won't hold the weight of a passenger and they don't make one to. There was a smaller steel rack that I saw on one of the 500/700 FB sites but I can't remember the make of it. Good Luck and thanks Austin.
