This franchise became more ‘confident’ as time went by. After the redesign of Sonic and people embracing it, the first movie did well, and the franchise embraced the video games and lore more.
I’m not a Sonic fan at all. I just bought the Colors game just to get something out of this franchise because from what I’ve heard, it has a rollercoaster history of quality. It’s hard for me to get into ANY movie and tv adaptations of video games because it feels like I’m missing something because I’m a movie and tv guy more than a gamer. Arcane was the one exception because I’ve been told by multiple critics that I don’t have to play the game to get the show. And ironically, I’ve watched a couple reviews for the Knuckles spin-off that it has so little Sonic lore, let alone the title character, that I can just watch it and not feel cheated! The reason I’ve taken to comic book adaptations are because comic books are pretty much soap operas where you jump in any point, but you’re completely lost in what the context is.
What I love about this franchise is that the director/producers/writers are taking their time with building the franchise. They're not rushing and throwing in too many characters. And storylines in each movie
@@criminalmindsgirl2936 According to the crew, they wanted to include Amy Rose in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3. But, they felt that these movies felt too crowed. So, we got Tails and Knuckles in Sonic 2, and Shadow and Prof. Gerold Robotnik in Sonic 3. It just goes to show that the crew didn't want us to have another Spiderman 3.
I appreciated this too. I kinda picked up on their “game plan” with the characters and agreed with it. The movies didn’t feel a lot rushed, but kinda slowly built their way up and I loved it.

The Final Battle being set to Live and Learn is basically the best possible thing that couldve come from Shadow's first live action outing. So glad it wasnt vs Biolizard/Final Hazard talk about boring boss battles when the final battle vs Chaos was so much more entertaining
The final battle from Sonic 3 is so far my favorite moment of the trilogy so far. Instead of taking on a giant mutated Lizard that became one with a Space Colony, that’s as big as a city. The two Hedgehogs are taking on a giant space canon, that requires pure energy to destroy an entire planet, while sending out flying Robots💙🦔🔥🖤🦔🔥 so awesome to see Shadow making a major live action appearance. Especially how badass Keanu Reeves did as our favorite Black Hedgehog.
The Sonic movies are a perfect example of how to properly make a movie based off a video game! They chose to take the time and money to fix the character, and they did right by their fans. I can't wait to see what they do with Amy's character next, I hope she becomes a love interest for Sonic like they did in the animated series Sonic X.
The best part is they made something with the fans in mind. The fans didn't like the original design of Sonic and the studio actually listened. The fans weren't attacked by the studio or called "entitled" or "toxic". They were actually listened to. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to watch the first one but because of that I thought they deserved my money. So many studios, especially Disney, could learn a thing or two from them. Rhian Johnson basically having a meltdown on social media after the completely justified reaction to that god awful Last Jedi really put me off Star Wars. You just know the same is coming with Snow White later this year.
When I was seeing the hoodie hammer wielder in the Sonic 3 post credits scene, I knew who it was. Even other people who saw it. Bring in the 4th Sonic movie! Don’t ever stop with these awesome Sonic movies!
Right now the real question is, who’s gonna voice Amy and Metal Sonic. For Metal Sonic I think I should be Bobby Cannavale. As for Amy, they gotta go with Liza Lapira

I made up a list ranking 20 moments from the franchise including the Knuckles series. Some of the shows best moments were The Bowling Brawl Ep.1, Wade Rescuing Knuckles Ep.2, The Shabbat Dinner Fight Ep.3, The Rock Opera Ep.4, Wade’s Father’s Betrayal Ep.5, and Knuckles & Wade Vs. The Buyer Ep.6
WM waited for the digital drop to put this video out in HQ lol😅😅😅 they were SITTING on this list. Love it. And shows how the movies are objectively great cinema
I like this franchise so much. I’ve never played the Sonic games (except for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games), but the attention to detail is stellar. The filmmakers know how to capture our attention with game Easter eggs, great casting choices, and excellent scenes that are pure fun. I grinned ear to ear while watching this trilogy, and can’t wait for Sonic 4. Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, and Keanu Reeves were great as their anthropomorphic characters, making me laugh and empathize with them. Thank you, Jeff Fowler and team, for making this franchise so well done that fans and non-fans can appreciate it.
7:30 Everybody except me and my mom almost left! They were on their way to the door. No one was here for the second scene though. I saw it on the internet the next day.😂
Imagine how strong the Team Sonic in the forth movie, now that Shadow is definitely be joining them. Having someone who can knock Super Sonic in his base form is a huge advantage, at this point they can't rely on the emerald and Sonic alone. But ofc I expect Shadow's creator the one who made him the ultimate life form will be a tough challenge.
My favorite is Knuckles in Sonic 3! He was silly, but very mature when it was needed. He took dub after dub! My ultimate favorite moment won't come until Silver joins
Starting a franchise and/or spinoffs is very difficult, and we almost didn't get more installments and a spin-off. I am *AMAZED* at how far we've come.
I’m just getting interested into this film series thanks to Sonic 3, mostly due to Shadow being the talk of the internet. And right now, whenever Shadow’s on screen is my personal favorite moment. I also personally hope he gets a miniseries (or 2 season show) rather than a standalone movie. Can I recommend a Shadow moments list from the movie, or reasons why he’s loved?😁
Paramount: LIVE and LEARN DISSney! Disney: What's to Learn when you're Living big!? Paramount: That you're not invited to the "Reward from fans" Money Pool!
I just realized how uniquely different Movie Sonic is from most of his other versions, variants, and counterparts throughout the Sonicverse. It's like a whole new and different version of the blue blur, but with a lot of unlimited and promising potential. Which is something we still haven't seen before until now.
I'm so glad these movies have turned out to be genuinely really good. I was not sure how they were going to handle Shadow but i'm really glad they did him justice, like they did with the others honestly.
Wait there's 3 movies already? Feels like the first one just came out. Time is flying fast 😅 I'm glad they changed Sonic's design and that fans both young and old are enjoying everything. It's honestly really nice to see!
I'm honestly glad I had an opportunity to see Sonic 3 this past year as I never had a chance to watch the first two movies. One reason was because I was busy a lot and the other because I had doubts that the first two movies would turn out good given how most films based on video games turn out. I did watch some clips from the movies here on YT though to at least help me stay somewhat caught up on what's been going on in the franchise.
I really love the high 5 in Sonic 1 It's devastating during the solo baseball game when he finishes and realises he has nobody to high 5, on his bucket list he doesnt cross off "make a friend" and so it's really sweet when after the final battle he gets a high 5 from Tom, the visible joy in Sonic's that he finally has that friend is heartwarming
Why 20? People complaines in "Sonic" games is too many characters, who are too shallow and too similar to each other. The only worthy Sonic allies are considered just Tails and Knuckles.
Them casting Jim Carrey as Robotnik has been the best casting decision of all time what makes it funnier is that he keeps announcing his retirement after every movie only to go back and do it again on the next sequel.
When Amy showed up, I was so hyped. Plus, the couple next to be had some sort of bet on whether she would show up and when the did the girl told the guy that he now owed her twenty dollars.
Crazy how far we've come At first, this was a video game movie franchise that had very low expectations, especially with the original Sonic design, and it being released in a "dark age" for the franchise Now, it's a trilogy that gets better with each movie, and the Sonic franchise is at an all-time high
I remind you: This trilogy exists because the execs got wise and made Sonic more accurate to the game's cartoony design. Hell, my crackpot theory is that they showed us the initial movie design as a marketing stunt to get our attention in a negative way, then showed the current Sonic design to get us locked in to check the movie itself out. And if that is the case, you really succeeded, guys. Sonic 1 isn't perfect, it's got a some of that isekai weirdness from movies like Smurfs and Fat Albert, even down to having James Marsden from Hop to play Donut Lord. But it's not nearly as obnoxious as them and has some really awesome action and decent humor to make up for the shortcomings. Each subsequent movie was better than the last, and of course the best one has to star Edgy the Edgehog played by Keanu Reeves. Epic job, Paramount.
Paramount came a long way to getting Sonic the glory he deserves, ever since his redesign, it has been nothing but awesome moments and great acting from Jim Carrey and other greats, Sega has put their faith in the right studio, can't wait for more
My favourite part on Sonic Trilogy is when Sonic calls Tom dad. As a guy who read Archie Sonic comics back in the day and after Sega sweeping them off it was enjoyment how Sonic trilogy used and handled well how Sonic got stepmother and family

10:57 Shadow Wick: YEAH, IM THINKIN' IM BACK!!
One of the greatest moments is Eggman’s final message to Stone. He finally acknowledges that Stone is his friend and his sacrifice is just beautiful
7:30 Everybody except me and my mom almost left! They were on their way to the door. No one was here for the second scene though. I saw it on the internet the next day.😂
I’m going to be the one to say it. Keanu Reeves is awesome to voice Shadow!
Shadow punches Tom out cold could’ve been in the honorable mentions.
How about the 10 things we want in Sonic 4
love robinks and the backstory of shadow
love these moment to the sonic movies can’t wait for the 4th Sonic movie 💙💙💙
My favorite is Knuckles in Sonic 3! He was silly, but very mature when it was needed. He took dub after dub!
My ultimate favorite moment won't come until Silver joins
The Dance scene with the two robotniks was epic!
It’s get better and better
I was not sure how they were going to handle Shadow but i'm really glad they did him justice, like they did with the others honestly.
awesome job about Best Moments from the Sonic Trilogy from Top 10
Love This Movie Franchise A lot As a Avid Fan Of Sonic The Hedgehog Big Time
My favorite moment of the sonic films was the pissing on the moon.I feel very happy when lazer destroyed the moon.
Wait there's 3 movies already? Feels like the first one just came out. Time is flying fast 😅 I'm glad they changed Sonic's design and that fans both young and old are enjoying everything. It's honestly really nice to see!
As a Sonic the Hedgehog fan, I've been waiting for a list like this
I would happily spend a day watching a marathon of that trilogy.
The movies made me appreciate Sonic the hedgehog and gang even more.
I Loved the Tokyo battle, Eggman’s sacrifice, the final battle from the second film, and the reveal of Amy Rose.
Metal Sonic was also revealed in that same scene
Should've been a Top 20 list, since there's more moments than just 10.
Disney is crying right now, now that Universal and Paramount are unstoppable to them.
I really love the high 5 in Sonic 1
It's devastating during the solo baseball game when he finishes and realises he has nobody to high 5, on his bucket list he doesnt cross off "make a friend" and so it's really sweet when after the final battle he gets a high 5 from Tom, the visible joy in Sonic's that he finally has that friend is heartwarming
When I saw Amy Rose on the big screen, I completely FREAKED OUT! I love her! 🩷
PLEASE WatchMojo? Top 20 Best Allies to Sonic the Hedgehog!
Why 20? People complaines in "Sonic" games is too many characters, who are too shallow and too similar to each other.
The only worthy Sonic allies are considered just Tails and Knuckles.
@ Have a little faith in them
Love This Movie Franchise So Much As a Avid Fan of Sonic The Hedgehog
Them casting Jim Carrey as Robotnik has been the best casting decision of all time what makes it funnier is that he keeps announcing his retirement after every movie only to go back and do it again on the next sequel.
Shadow transforming into Super Shadow was my favourite - I wasn’t expecting it
When Amy showed up, I was so hyped. Plus, the couple next to be had some sort of bet on whether she would show up and when the did the girl told the guy that he now owed her twenty dollars.
Honestly the entire 3rd act of Sonic 3 was just PEAK CINEMA.
Crazy how far we've come
At first, this was a video game movie franchise that had very low expectations, especially with the original Sonic design, and it being released in a "dark age" for the franchise
Now, it's a trilogy that gets better with each movie, and the Sonic franchise is at an all-time high
I love Sonic the movies so much!!! This is the best trilogy of all time!!! I love this! Live and learn, guys! 😎
1. enjoyable experience
2. good time
3. amusing moment
I audibly screamed like a fangirl in the theater when Metal Sonic was revealed and i was definitely not the only one.
Paramount came a long way to getting Sonic the glory he deserves, ever since his redesign, it has been nothing but awesome moments and great acting from Jim Carrey and other greats, Sega has put their faith in the right studio, can't wait for more
"how are you not dead?!"
"i have NO idea!"
(that's part of the "highway attack" scene)
My favourite part on Sonic Trilogy is when Sonic calls Tom dad. As a guy who read Archie Sonic comics back in the day and after Sega sweeping them off it was enjoyment how Sonic trilogy used and handled well how Sonic got stepmother and family
