Get your students movin' and groovin' to with this rhythm play along and dance. Your students will read rhythms with traditional notation, and learn a line dance style movement sequence designed to add excitement, and interest to the activity!

EEEEK!! :) I love all of your videos and so do my students so much so that my K-2 always ask at the end of class if they can play along with Mr. Grooves until their teacher comes to pick them up (that's what they call you, I didn't come up with that totally did)! But this one gave me chills as I sat down at my desk this morning prepping for the day and I really did squeal with excitement when I saw this posted! I can not wait to try this with my students today (who cares what my previous plans were, I'm using this song/dance/rhythms today!) I greatly appreciate you and this channel because I am not tech savvy enough to figure out how to do this on my own. Thank you for your time and effort (knowing you also have your full time teaching job) to make our lessons fun, engaging and easier to plan. You totally rock!!

My students love your videos! I put them in 5 lines with a drum at the front of each line. The student at the front plays the drum and moves to the back of the line at the break between rhythm patterns and the next student moves up. The students behind the drummers ap and speak the rhythms or create body percussion for each rhythm until it is their turn on the drum. They love this!
