Zane's had no build-up nor good reason. Nya's was foreshadowed, allowing emotion and anticipation to build. Also the reason for her sacrifice is more powerful because it's out of love: the thing that pushes her over the edge and cements her decision is Jay; she has to become one with the water to save him
@@Alex-hq3hryeah. they told that nyad had merged with the sea earlier in the season and I knew immediately that nya would do the same. that also made it less effective since merging with the sea doesnt mean that one dies but rather just changes form. while zane did it all of sudden just because his friends were captured and he was ready to give his all to protect everyone else
Also at that point we had seen like 10 fake deaths/ deaths and revives which made it even more obvious that they wouldnt just kill off one of the main characters
@@emmumusic Are we forgetting that Zane's death was literally undone * in the same episode *. He didn't last 2 minutes dead. At least we thought Nya was dead for a good year or more
@@NinjagoTheorywe are not forgetting that but while zane was dead for 2 minutes nya didnt ever even die she just went swimming. even the episode ended with nya swimming with like sea animals or something
Nya’s was better set up but I feel like without Zane sacrificing himself Zane wouldn’t be the same while pre scarifice Nya and DR Nya are the same and it doesn’t impact Nya whatsoever
9:52 Still really glad about this. That Samurai X revisit plot was really terrible and the moment I saw Nya in a Ninja outfit in DR's marketing I was like "thank god man"
Better idea for crystalized: What if aspheraa failed to drain all of nya’s power, resulting in nya becoming a human/ water god hybrid, I’m talking like a mix of her human form and her water form together. As throughout the season, she is slowly turning back into her water form. Although Pixal is trying to find a way to fully turn her human, the more she uses her powers the harder it becomes fully turn back. So she dons a special suit and mech (that ISNT samurai x) to help with this process, eventually during the final battle against the crystal king, when it seems like all is lost, she decides to merge with the sea once more to aid Ninjago, after becoming one with the sea again, she heads up to the crystal temple to help Lloyd and the golden ultra dragon defeat the overlord. As she takes ALL her power into one powerful blast combined with the power of the golden ultra dragon save ninjago, but after using all her power, she ends up human again with zero powers, but nya now knows that she doesn’t need powers to make a difference. Of course she gains them back before dragons rising, but I feel this is much better than going back to samurai x.
Nyas i think is better, it fit more narratively and the sacrifice caries more melancholy and is better action so it connects very well in that way but Zane's has a simple pure goodness to it that connects very strongly in another way for me, big part of why zane in general connected so much to me is the music
I think Nya’s would be better without much contest had it stuck, like Seabound was suggesting. But as it stands thanks to Crystalized it’s kinda just devolved into another repeat of Zane’s. Which I still think is such a shame, since I think it could’ve lead to one of the best arcs in the show had its aftermath been explored.
Imo the long term impact of Zane's has been worse. Season 4 handled him really well, but the show has done absolutely *nothing* with him since then. Nya has at least had actual development post-seabound
I think Zane died better even if just because it added more to his character. If Nya's wildbrain era development ended with Call of Home, I'd prefer Nya's overall tho as S15E2 is a wonderful bookend to Nya's entire character arc. All that needed to happen was her coming back and then kicking butt, another forced powerless arc was not needed😭
in the moment of the sacrifice it's close, but after each one Zane's wins hands down. both are epic scenes with lots of emotion in them, the problem Nya'a has is: Crystalized messed it up. please note that I'm a Zane fanboy so if you disagree, there is some bias in there it's unavoidable.
In terms of buildup nya's was better, it had more build up throughout the season and so therefore was more emotional when the moment hit. Zane's had very little buildup, and while it was sad, it was also just kind of out of nowhere. However when you realize the consequences of each sacrifice, yes, Zane's sacrifice had far more long-reaching consequences than Nya's had. (Thanks a lot crystallized)
I like Zane's sacrifice music and full-circle character arc in season 1 and 3. Yes Zane did return but he just kept og memory but not same as pilot to og Season 3
Zanes death was so better. Nya is no where near as loved as Zane and there were hints in sea bound that nya would die. Nobody expected Zane to sacrifice himself which makes it sadder.
I really love the lasting impact Zane’s “death” had on the series. Sure it was undone, but the ramifications are felt for multiple seasons to come. Nya just comes back the next season, struggles a small amount with her powers, gets them back, and is fine at the start of Dragons Rising. That’s just me though.
I think Nya's sacrifice is better but overall but the after effects of Zane's were more significant. However I think Garmadon's is better than both in every aspect.
hello 4 corners i found this pin 📌📌 on the floor can i have it
Sure :)
GREAT 4 CORNER LEGO NINJAGO Sacrificers.
Im your 4th likes like 4 corners
The Thumbnail looks like Seabound Nya and Rebooted Zane having a stand off and I think it’s cool
True

Honestly build-up made it less powerful in my opinion

Garmadon’s Sacrifice I think hit me the hardest. That entire scene was so bittersweet
0:25 Wow Crystalized really did have literally zero original ideas😭😭I didn't even realise this
yeah ik,Thats why crystailizes is overrated

I know right, the further Dragons Rising is from Crystalized the better in many ways

Both scenes go so hard tho
Who died better 😂
I think Zane’s sacrifice is the better one it came out of no where and the aftermath is better than Nya’s.
sure zane was more impactful series wise
but nya's death litterly made people shed tears
Nah Zane’s death was sadder
Nya's sacrifice is really similar especially the team split up. they even used the same music that was played when kai walked to the zane statue
And after his return, he was not as human even now

Not nya because she didn't even die, she became a water-like avatar
Zane actually died and got his mind transferred to his new body

Nya didn't even die, and technically not Zane either since his a nindroid. But defently zane
