ಮೂಲ್ಕಿಯು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ 30 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರುಗಳ ಸಮಾನ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಮೂಲ್ಕಿ ವೆಂಕಟ್ರಮಣ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಗೌಡ ಸಾರಸ್ವತರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಗ್ರನರಸಿಂಹ ಪ್ರಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ದೇವರುಗಳು. ಕಾಶಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಬಿಂದುಮಾಧವನು ಉತ್ಸವ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಕಾಳಬೈರವನು ದರ್ಶನ ಪಾತ್ರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆವೇಶ ಬಂದು ಭಕ್ತರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿವಾರಣೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಕೊಡುವುದು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆ ಮುಕ್ಕೋಟಿ ದ್ವಾದಶಿ ರಾಮನವಮಿಯಂದು ರಥೋತ್ಸವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗಶೀರಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆ ಗಳು ಬಹಳ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದಾ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ ಸಹಸ್ರಾರು ಜನರು ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಉಗ್ರನರಸಿಂಹನಿಗೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಶಾಂತಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಭಕ್ತರ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಲವಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆ.
