Me and my mate (who’s first time it was at Blackpool) arrived on the Friday afternoon and were lucky enough to find ourselves sat in the Ruskin with nick, Eric and roddy for around 3 hours, it was fairly quiet so we had a whole session to ourselves, we were treated to a masterclass and probably their entire repertoire, but that vanishing card blew Darren away:-) great work again guys, love your channel, thanks so much for all you do.

Great reviews Craig and Ryland, the vanishing card by Nicholas Lawrence sparked my interest the concept and performance.. The handkerchief for Thin air i remember as a kid i would use a small towel folded in half and make a object melt through, i understand Thin air without giving anything away and its one added to my list.. Thanks guys..
Great reviews guys. Thin air and the cups and balls cards grabbed my attention. Might have to dig out my Alan Wong’s sponge tennis balls out the draw , would be perfect for those cards. Cheers guys.
Have a great idea using Adam Wilber's 'Cups & Beans' but doing an extra final load out after the beans and then liquid. It also involves 'Sweet Disposition' and the new 'Crystallize' by Craig himself. Actually really interested in knowing about getting that 'extra screw top' but instead of a ball I want a sugar cube sticking out. Also some well made coffee beans and sugar cubes made from foam. I've never put together a full routine as really just do tricks for myself but the plans I feel I could do with those tricks even without the cups but obviously that would be the main draw and set the narrative. Also, have an idea of incorporating 'minted' into play after the coffee final reveal and the expresso shot is poured. Bring out the polo's and explain about coffee breath etc then using a coffee stirrer which you have on the table along with the 'sugar' shakers and pots of creamer to see the whole theme, then use the coffee stirrer to do 'minted'... And go into the linking mints which was released not too long ago. When released, if you are looking for any reviews and routines for crystallize I'd love to share. Getting identical cubs to Disposition would also allow it to be jam packed with smaller transpos etc. Have something in mind with also being able to unwrap a roll of polos and tip In audiences hand only for their signed polo to now be there.... Having a 'tips' jar setup for your 'coffee counter' would also allow you to do 'Bottle' to really finish it off.. Maybe do bottle and then come back to the overturned cups only to turn them over with the liquid load and pour that out in an expresso cup, and slide it to the audience.. Jingling the tip jar again with the coin still inside. I saw a trick briefly in a BMC vlog where they were changing the kids of McDonald's dips....would love to know if you could incorporate the thinking into the lids of a couple of coffee creamers with contrasting lids? Just a little something I've been thinking about for the past few days, would love to hear opinion or any extras that would fit in and add even more bangers 👌🏼
Was thinking of scripting and also thought about opening with the premise of a card trick, but as it's your last performance before you're on 'coffee break'.. You really can't be bothered.. Hell you haven't even had any tips all night 'foreshadow of doing Bottle later as you shake it and empty' so you decide you'll call it a night early, that's when you go into the 'Fade Away Deck' and packet by packet it dissapears.. Then goes into the coffee section of the routine

I just posted this to their group, and I'd love to read what you think of ideas 2 and 3: You can break this down into routines that need a table setup or those you can pull from a pocket or box folded. The fold in the video will do a nice job of trapping whatever you've prepped, especially if it doesn't weigh much. Three ideas: 1.I have a few money changing tricks with coins and currency. The silk can magically produce currency or change sheets of paper cut to the size of currency to real currency. Maybe a running gag that "I don't get paid much, but as a magician I can make money as needed." 2. Take out the silk and produce a few small colorful silks for another routine, or to give out, if cheap enough. The Thin Air silk won't seem out of place. "Gee, I only have this one black silk, and I need more." I think you could get 5 to 8 overlapping small silks hidden in the fold. 3.This one is for kids, but adults would enjoy it. Take out the silk with 3 or 4 hidden small spongeballs in the fold. Lay it out on the table. "I will magically produce something from nothing using this silk." The kids see 4 small lumps. "There's something under the silk!", they scream. Frantically you push each lump down, but they reappear. Fold back the half nearest you and show nothing. "No, lift the other half!" You lift the bottom layer, and show nothing. Lay it back down and the lumps reappear. "They have gone from nothing to an invisible state of matter. I need someone's help to have them enter full visibility." Hand one kid a wand to wave, pull back the silk showing 3 or 4 spongeballs and you are ready for a spongeball routine. I think this one has possibilities.
I agree bottle as an opener for a street show would be a visual noisy and impressive first trick as easy say plucking a coin from a passerby’s ear to stop your first specs. Street approved. Smilesotheylikeyou
From seeing them both at blackpool, crystallised is a much better purchase than the coin in bottle imo. Similar visuals but overall more exciting for a lay audience. Probably not the same hype just cause it isn't as fun a toy to play with
I have used Nick Einhorn's (unicoin ), I think, a similar principle but far easier to carry can fit 99% of bottles you find around tables and can use a borrowed coin !!! Barley, any pocket space. I would not swap it for bottled; just not practical for me around table hopping.
Vanishing card looks great for the first two seconds. Once it has apparently 'gone', you HAVE to show the hand completely empty IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, the audience will inevitably conclude it was somehow hidden/ held in that hand. That's why sadly this is not strong magic.

For people with small hands, can Vanishing Card be done cleanly? It doesn’t look like the trick can end cleanly.

Cups & Ball cards is okay. The others are subpar. There are better coin in bottle/glass versions of there. Thin Air method is so transparent.
The demo of thin air wasn't there.
