I am an old stitcher, but new to flosstube. I enjoyed your stitching. I have been basically a monogamous stitcher until flosstube. Yep another addict allowing herself to be enabled 😅❤ Some advice from an old woman. Take the trips!! We did a lot of traveling with our four, now grown children, even when maybe we should have spent the money on other things. We wouldn't trade those memories for anything! The kids were discussing those trips at Easter. Every couple of years we all meet and rent a cabin and make more memories. .
You are absolutely right! I think the kids enjoy being dragged around and experiencing new things so whenever I complain about the status of our furniture I know that it's because we're getting a lot of cool experiences instead! 😂 Thank you so much for your message and I hope you're enjoying whatever it is that you're working on! And don't feel bad about no longer being a monogamous stitcher - there are too many beautiful projects! 😊
You are such a joy to watch! It's hard to believe you are approaching your one year anniversary! Look how far you've come with your stitching! Thank you for sharing is beauty and your enthusiasm with us! Come back soon!
I can hardly believe it, honestly! Thank you so much for watching and I will be sure to come back with lots of stories and some stitching in a few weeks' time. ❤
My wips are exactly what brought me back to stitching! I have 40 year old wips and am working on finishing them. I am not ashamed of them, they show my cross stitch journey ❤. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely! I have some old pieces that I made many years ago and it is wonderful to see how my stitching has evolved and it's been wonderful in the last couple of years to discover that there is so much more out there! Thanks for watching and happy stitching to you! 😊
So much fun watching your videos. It has been an awesome year. I have three kids…if you line them up, you would not guess they are related. No sharing of clothes would work the body types were so different.
Yes, it's funny how different they are! They look nothing alike and have completely different personalities but they are each other's best friends so I am very thankful. Thanks again for popping by! 😊 ❤️
Love your floss tube whenever they come out, wow a year already, congratulations. I had to look up the Moonglow dishes but I remember them. We grew up on the Pfaltzgraff dishes, they were so heavy and I remember breaking one, shattered everywhere. Just a FYI, the 100.3 seems to be going up on all the stores now. Woodsmoke is definitely a darker linen. Shepherd’s needle has a good photo if they still have any. Love the overdyed thread you mentioned, they would be great in a monochrome chart. Hannah is beautiful as well as your other projects. I love Number 12 linen, I am stitching Harriot Hey on Salted Caramel and it is beautiful. I got the Atelier and it’s beautiful. Your ring is beautiful, it is a nice design. Enjoy California and your other adventures. We went to California for my husband’s 60th birthday. Flew into Oregon to visit relatives and then drove down the coast over several days. Just breathtaking.
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing those tidbits! And I can imagine Harriot Hey on Salted Caramel...I bet that is lovely in person! Atelier is on my wishlist and I'll definitely grab a piece next time I order from Number12! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and I look forward to sharing stitching and stories with you next time! 🥰
Yeh, I found you today. What a delightful video and what beautiful pieces you stitch. I'm subscribed and will look forward to your next video. Happy Stitching.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I am so glad I’ve shown some things to grab your attention. I’ll have more to show when I’m back in a couple weeks. Thanks for watching! 😊
Thank you! She is a stunning sampler but I'll be very happy to finish her. It will be quite an accomplishment! 😅 Thank you for watching and good luck with Hannah whenever you decide to start her! ❤️
Love your FlossTube and your beautiful projects!!! Emile is a beautiful sampler, I may just start it with you and Kim. Excited to see you in October at Hobby House!! Thank you for your shout out! Flosstuber for a Day is fun and I am so happy you enjoyed it!!!!❤❤❤❤
Love your floss tube and your sense of humor. Your work is so gorgeous. I’m glad you mentioned your cat. I heard it twice and thought there was a cat outside my window lol. Enjoy your travels and I look forward to your next floss tube.
Thank you for your kind comments! Yes, Ryan's cat Marlowe often stays quiet while I'm recording but for some reason she wasn't having it yesterday 😂 Thank you for watching! 😊
I watch and enjoy all your videos, Audrey. Once a month with a long video would be great. Any day of the week that works for you is just fine. I would love to see your ‘stitching palace’! I think we’re all curious about how other stitchers work and keep their supplies. I hope your trip is wonderful. See you next time! Carol in Texas
Hi, Audrey! I just enjoy your videos and your personality so much! Your stitching is always beautiful and amazing, and yet you are so humble and casual about it…thank you! Oh, and I sure do remember when you first started your channel and you told us about your friends and their baby Luca, and how you made him a sampler! It’s hard to believe he’s grown so quickly! Blessings to them, and to you and your family as you prepare to celebrate your Floss Tube anniversary! Have a wonderful month 🥰 Meline
Meline, you are so sweet! Yes, time sure does fly but thank you for coming along on this journey with me! I have really enjoyed discovering new things (for me) in stitching and sharing it all with you and hope to continue for a while to come. Thank you so much for your well wishes and the very best to you and your family as well. Talk to you soon! ❤️
Hi Audrey, I’m Sue Maddox in the UK, so I look forward to meeting you in Swindon next year if you get a place….I’m sure you will & you’ll have an amazing time!
Another great Flosstube Audrey, always so inspiring. Loving the silk colours on the Reflets de Soie chart which I’ve just purchased along with Emmeline, just have to finish Hannah Campbell first 😁
Thank you so much! I'm glad you went ahead and got the Reflets de Soie and Cross Stitch Antiques charts! How far are you on Hannah Campbell? I finally feel like I'm nearing a finish on her and I am so happy about it! 😊
I love all your stitching Audrey! You do great conversions and put a lot of thinking in to the changes that you make! Happy stitching and have a great weekend!
I look forward to seeing Emeline stitched up. I had a great aunt Emmaline, so I'm tempted to pick it up. I usually only end up picking up a sampler pattern after seeing others stitch them up.
I understand! Sometimes it's hard to commit to something until you see it in better detail rather than just a photo on a chart. I'll keep sharing Emeline and if you join in let us know! 😊
They are actually 100.3 spooled silk from Au Ver A Soie. You can purchase them from HoopandFrame.com or your local needlework shop may have them as well. They are wonderful to work with! Thank you for watching! 🥰
I loved this video - I especially like how you described going about choosing your own threads for the Kittenstitcher piece. It is inspiring and encouraging. (Learned about you from Brenda and the Serial Starter, of course, and I think Laura is off the wagon on the one-line-per-day of Marie Louise Piret, tsk tsk ...)
Yeah...Laura made it one month into our 12-month SAL and now it's just me! Is it a SAL if you're the only one stitching it?? 😂 Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm very happy to provide encouragement to some others as I have gotten so much from others on flosstube! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Happy stitching!
Hi Audrey, I love your videos! You’re so entertaining and I love hearing about Maurice’s progress with stitching. Your French accent is so perfect! How did you learn it? Have you lived abroad? I’d love to hear more about your travels. Happy stitching!
Thank you so much! I actually asked Mo if he wanted to share his stitching on a video. It was a hard pass 😂 but he's doing well 😊 As far as French goes, I started taking French in middle school and stuck with it through high school and college. Unfortunately I don't get many opportunities to practice now that I've graduated but every once in a while I watch French in Action on UA-cam to refresh my memory and it's fun! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it 🥰
Audrey: Thank-you for an enjoyable video, you are a treat to watch, Home Sweet Home is a lovely design, I too would make the brown thread changes. Emeline is a beauty, Reflets has so many amazing designs. Lovely progress on your stitching, Carmelle is beautiful, love the red Alphabet. Looking forward to seeing your framed finish's, sweet Quaker design, do you leave your stitching in a hoop or do you remove it when not stitching? just curious. Oh my love the beaded design, you have chosen such lovely Samplers to stitch. Thank-you for the information on the threads. Your mother is so sweet to gift to you. Congratulations on one year, looking forward to seeing your next video.
Thank you for your many kind comments! As far as leaving work in a hoop, I try not to leave any project in a hoop for more than a few hours. Even if I'm working on the same project all day, I'll make an effort to move the hoop around. But of course I forget sometimes! 😅 Thank you so much for watching! Happy stitching! 🥰
Hi!! So you know I had to Google moonglow 🤣. Emeline is gorgeous! Sheesh, the Reflets had to go in my cart, and I wish I’d started in January with one a month with you. Maybe I should start with July for my birthday since I’m so full up for the next few months. Yes, stitch a pear! Fun stitching with you, friend!
Lol now you really understand what those dishes were like! 😅As for the Reflets de Soie - it's been a great project! The first and third bouquets only took a couple days each so it's been easy to get my "assignments" for that one done quickly. Start in July! From one birthday to the next would be a great way to stitch it! ❤
Great Video , just love your personality over the camera you where made for this. Very entertaining. Voice tones, facial expression nail it!. Everything beautiful but wanting to know do you stitch with over dyes or DMC ever?. And if not why?. And you only stitch with silks?. Thanks safe travels
Thank you so much for your kind comments 😊 I felt good about yesterday's video so I'm glad it was entertaining 😅 I do stitch with cottons (and love overdyed cottons!) and have a WIP going with them now, Shepherd's Song by Plum Street Samplers. I'll have to pull it out and show it next time. And another I did last year was Spring Quaker by Lila's Studio, a big sampler that I love but gifted to my mother. Recently I've been using mostly silks simply because I love the ease of the spools, being able to pull off a single strand of thread has spoiled me 😂 But rest assured, I have plenty of charts on the to-stitch list that will use cottons! Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy stitching! ❤️
They are ArtBin Thread boxes and hold spools perfectly! Your Hannah Campbell is stunning. I knew it was one of the few samplers I wanted to stitch when it was released. Now I just need to purchase 😂
Thank you! She is a stunning sampler but I'll be very happy to finish her. It will be quite an accomplishment! 😅 Thank you for watching and good luck with Hannah whenever you decide to start her! ❤️
