  • @fidel2xl
    @fidel2xl 15 днів тому +2

Let's be honest here --- the Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks because that team was missing Giannis for the entire series, and they were missing Damian Lilliard for a good part of that series. And in the same way, the Pacers have only been somewhat competitive with the Knicks because that team is severely injury-depleted and have been playing with reserves for a good portion of this series. If the Knicks had Julius Randle (their go-to guy), OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson, and Bojan Bogdanovich, this series would be over in 4 games in favor of the Knicks. The Knicks, with a clearly injured Jalen Brunson (who still played in the 2nd half of Game 2, and played in Game 3 in Indiana) came too close to going up 3-0. Had Jalen Brunson not suffered a foot injury in the 1st quarter of Game 2, the injury-decimated Knicks would be up 3-0, because they wouldn't have lost that game in Indiana last week Friday. Also, Isiah Hartensten suffered a shoulder injury in Game 3 which led to some nerve issues (a pinched nerve) that caused numbness in his hand, rendering him virtually ineffective in Game 4. With some therapy that pinched nerve injury was somewhat alleviated in time for Game 5 on Tuesday, as we saw with him being back to usual form on rebounding..
The point is, the good news is that Game 6 is in Indiana on Friday night, 3 days after Game 5. BUT, the BAD news for Indiana is that the Knicks team will have had 3 days of rest to heal for Game 6 in Indiana. The last thing Indiana wants to face in the playoffs is a relatively healthy'ish NY Knicks team that was given 3 days of rest before a deciding game.

If he's not scoring they might as well pull him from the game.. They need to be getting an honest feel of him before the game.. I feel like there's a communication problem with this team ever since All-Star break.. They've been a different team.. I know we don't have any other real options.. but getting the bench rotations going sooner rather than later makes a lot of sense.. instead of continuing to let guy's get pummeled.. I mean my god.. Duce McBride was prime Klay Thompson, as Donte has been.. We let Hart, Hartenstein and Precious all destroy us in rebounds and paint points.. If Pascal is sucking as he does every single game... Sit his bum azz on the bench. Get Toppin out very early.. At least he actually gives effort and tries to score.. Force Myles into the paint to actually BOX OUT AND OUT REBOUND HARTENSTEIN. I say that because I know he doesn't like to either.. But they could put Toppin at the key, or put Myles and Smith in and match Smith with Hartenstein also.. Because Smith I believe is better down low and makes a better effort on the glass then almost anyone.. Jackson had been solid for us.. but he's undersized and not always going to play that way. But they didn't get anyone in there.. just stuck with it.. had Nembhard as the secondary defender on Brunson when it should have been TJ, but TJ was getting cooked too by the time he was put on him.. it was too late.. smdh.. the bs 2 quick fouls were a huge momentum shift as well.. when it was actually Brunson who fouled Nesmith... we never recovered after that..

Idk siakam just be playing underwhelming to me. Like he misses layups too much. Always falls to ground after every shot. He has hart on him and just tries to over him. Haliburton was way beyond passive and it was irritating . Myles is our center so its always gonna be a gap with rebounding no matter the situation and I know he helps alot when our defense collapses. Myles seemed like he was scared to try to block any shots in the 1st quarter i guess to not get foul calls. Carlise will put in a nonproductive lineup that he sticks with way too long but he tries to make an adjustment. Pacers dont never box out they just stand and look at the ball. Team as a whole had too many silly turnovers. Better hope they play better in game 6 or they staying home for good. Coaching staff didnt do a good job preparing them in my eyes. On to game 6.

Only looks to constantly pass. Because he can't score at all unless he's fading away. Or gets the open lane to the rim. If the D holds their ground on his ignorant lil spin. He misses and falls to the ground everytime.. I'm so over that dude. Gets beat on D. Glass and does nothing on Offense. I'd love to know why he thinks he's worth so much. I'm telling you if you put length on him, he doesn't get those midrange jumpshots off. Toppin is an above average ON BALL defender. In New York he was defending the post which is not his Forte. TJ will get handled as well as an on ball defender. He is too short and Brunson can get his shot off. With Toppin on him his only option is to take it all the way to the rack and that where you have Jackson waiting to block his shot. You can't just keep letting Nemhart get destroyed and he is shooting over 70% versus him!!! That's mind boggling! Try Toppin on him!

When these games become emotionally charged like this it becones more and more difficult to win on other teams floor. Why that Game one might turn out to be one that got away because they pretty much played exactly how they are going to need to in order to win A game in new york.
Just dont see it happening. Itll take ALOT of things to go right.
A scenario i can see that might be able to pull it off is for Myles and Haliburton both to not play well game 6 but Pacers still win.
Myles rarely has two bad games in a row or two real good ones. But hes responded to bad games the following game all season.
Not in my wildest dreams did i think this team would make the conference finals this year. A game 7 would be amazing just to have a chance albeit a small one.
We NEED OG to play game 7 to get this team COMPLETELY focused and to be able to have a chance to shut these dumb ass idiots up.
Burks is averaging 17ppg last 3 games
Mcbride is averaging about 15ppg the last 3
But knicks fan and national media somehow buys into this narrative that multi million dollar paid player coming off the bench are scrubs and cant play.
Knicks must have the greatest doctors in the world to cure the entire team off all their ailments and injuries the knicks fan base bitched about all week.
When You lose take the L. They whooped Pacers ass tonight. They did what they were supposed to do at their house.
See how easy that is. Never seen a fan base in my entire life bitch about and make so many excuses when their team loses.
Ive literally lost ALL respect for knicks fan base and media. I honest to God HATE that team and their fans at this point.
Just dont let these crybabies close on Pacers home floor. One more ass whooping to shut National, Pacers and knicks media the hell up and hear them make every excuse there is after they lose.

I have zero idea why so many pacer fans have been hopping on the "tear siakam down" train.
Like i get he hasnt had a SUPER WILD game outside of games 1 & 2 against the bucks, but he still had those two incredible games, so to discredit it by insinuating he needs to do that every game is dumbfounding. Especially considering hes been arguably our most consistent player. If anyone deserves to be shit on, its Haliburton & im not saying that because i dislike him, i love haliburton. However every other game he seems to forget hes allowed to play offense and shoot the ball, its pathetic. Meanwhile Turner has had a few decent games but consistently getting outrebounded and lookin soft for a guy with apparently tons of energy for the playoffs. And lets not forget Carlisle, who has been playing weird line ups that make almost no sense at times. If anything, these losses arent on Siakam, its on everyone else.
And lets not forget the biggest thing.. siakam got here HALF WAY through the year, joining an offense that says its style is "random". That csnt be an easy adjustment for any player. I imagine to some degree, hes still learning some things every now and then about what "random" really means, play-to-play. Give Siakam an offseason to train with this group and id say we could be way better than we were to end this season.
Those fans rushing to their phones to shit on siakam are beyond incapable of even understanding anything besides the last game they witnessed, most of em seem to forget its a team sport and Indy plays the best Team-based basketball at the highest level. Itd be out of character for one guy to outright take-over everything, even if itd be for the best. Remember when Carlisle said Mathurins 35 point double double with 5 or 6 assists, had "no place on this team" just because he was slightly selfish with the ball and had an amazing game. Carlisle stuck his ass back on the bench.

The bs quick 2 foul calls on Nesmith was a huge momentum shift as well.. Because the Refs want to screw us over.. Obvious foul by Brunson.. Yet somehow we get the foul called on us.. Doing that had us take Nesmith off Brunson.. When he theb got going and they took the lead by double digits.. We were screwed once again in that way...
I'd love for anyone to go back and look at the Game 1 call where Brunson jumped into Myles under the rim as Myles was shooting the ball.. hits him with body and swats his arm.. They call the foul on Brunson.. The Knicks challenge and they REVIEW IT.. and have it overturned.. How is that even possible??? Even the announcers are like I don't understand that at all.. but I guess somehow that's not a foul.. smdh.. Tell me Brunson isn't being favored?? Make it make sense.. Other than Game 1.. This last game had a couple terrible calls.. but still, we were awful and Myles gave us a chance to get back in it and we couldn't ever get anyone else going.. If Hali plays bad we automatically lose.. Because Pascal is a bum and not even a 4th or 5th best player... So if that's who we have to rely on outside of Hali, we're screwed..
We need a REAL "STAR" player with Hali.. Not a fake one in Pascal.. Wannabe. Or if not a DeRozan or PG13.. Which are honestly getting old.. So we may be better off signing the better younger guy's.. Just add a lot of solid depth.. Like a Hartenstein, Kelly Oubre Jr.. Caleb Martin. Retain Obi and Smith.. maybe a Kyle Anderson type, or a Drummond.. start playing Walker or trade him... something.. but whatever we do.. we don't need to be wasting our cap space.. we need to think about our future.

Rick Carlisle needs to stop putting Nembhard on Brunson, he cannot guard that man. Leaving Nembhard alone on an island with Brunson is a mismatch.. and also Toppin needs to stop running out every time Knicks shoot the ball looking for an easy dunk because that gives the Knicks more chances to get the offensive rebounds... and they need to stop doubling Jalen Brunson at halfcourt because it leaves guys open for 3 point shot....

It’s the immaturity of the pacers talking smack during game 4 that came to bite them in game 5. You exalt yourself , you get humbled! As a knick fan I watched pretty much every Knick game in the regular season. They are an extremely strong and high IQ team who play with tremendous grit. We took the 76ers down. We will win this in the end. Pacers are a very young inexperienced but talented team. You only rile a team when you behave like miles turner who got rusty on Divincenzo shortly after he had a phenomenal dunk. That is not cool. Go Knicks!

Rick stayed with a lineup format that wasn't working also.. To see us getting demolished on thw boards. Not switching Myles onto Hartenstein down low.. Or eveb having played Jalen Smith enough at all.. who often has been one of our most solid guys on D, down low and on boards.. Hits 3pt shots for us.. moves well.. He doesn't ever get Obi in soon enough.. Pascal is highly overrated..

lots of little failures = loss. Coaching--u can't play B straight up. Channel to left, defender plays close enough to hinder shot, channel into help.nemhard or mconnell on B is absurd. Carlisle can't figure. Failure to give Toppin minutes; failure to play toppin at #3; failure to coach individual d--pacers do not anticipate offensive movement, always dollar short day late to ball. East notes-take advantage of B Defense. Do they do that? Etc.

Haliburton was terrible once again. If you're going to be a nightmare on Offense, you have to be good on Defense.. Pascal is always terrible, watching him makes me want to claw my eye's out. Idc that he scored 8 points in the 4th once the game was over.. It's like it took that for him to be able to even score. Once they no longer cared.. Hartenstein completely locked him up on D and on the glass.. He's weak as hell, can't finish a single basket directly under the basket.. gets blocked at the rim by Donte... 🤦🙇 Are they honestly going to sign that guy to a big contract..??? 😂 I'd rather sign Duce McBride to a max. Donte and Hart... Pascal anytime we need to score he's never any help at all.. he just plays hot potato with the basketball.. at least Obi makes an attempt to score and get to the basket.. it couldn't be more obvious what they need to do come FA. But they probably won't and will sign Pascal lol... ughh.. ruined this team and their potential. Give me Hartenstein in the draft for 15 mil.. I'll take the hustle and energy player all day long over a passive 🐈.

Got lucky playing against an injured Brunson and of course the Knicks are missing multiple key rotation players.
AND STILL LEAD THE SERIES. They are a 2 seed for a reason.. more consistent at what they do than the Pacers at what they do.
Knicks dont have to change their identity to win. Pacers have to become a tough rebounding and defensive team and that's not them.

Is it ever irritating to watch you continuously go in and out of focus. What's up with that?!? I realize I can turn away and just listen, but I personally do like to 'watch' the youtube video - watching made me nauseous. Hard to understand this clear pattern from Tyrese. He knows he's not taking shots B4 the game comes to an end, so it must be a serious mental issue with him.
