Thanks for the vid, I was unboxing mine today while watching. I was immediately impressed with the sound quality. I understand these headphones can benefit from a few weeks burn-in time. Most people recommend replacing the pads with Bayers or AKG pads, which I plan to do at some point as the stock pads aren't great imo. Regarding the cable, I understand people's feelings, but you will likely own these cans for years and personally, I plan to gently massage that cable looser every time I use it. I'm sure over the weeks and months it will loosen up nicely :)
I should also mention that I had problems with the case clips too. I hope they loosen up over time also. As for the description on the box ("general purpose"), I would never use these for studio monitoring. I would go for the Sony MDR 7506 or Bayers for that. I bought these for listening and not even critical listening; UA-cam, internet radio and MP3s mainly, which is why the price is right (£30). They made your vid sound great, reverb and all! I wanted them to flatter the sound slightly and the reviews I read made these sound like the perfect choice for me.
So after a few hours use I'd say the bass is close to perfect, the mids are recessed slightly and the highs are accentuated. Sometimes when female vocalists hit the "S-es" it can sound harsh to me. I've heard putting a single ply of tissue paper behind the pad's foam can tame the high end. Let's not forget they likely require some burn-in. Hope this helps.
It's not leather on the real thing either, i did replace it with my real beyerdynamic one because the standard hurts a little (and it fits) everything fits from the real 770+ ones even the clips and pads.
@@chaihleeb220 the price doesn't have anything to do with the headphone impedance, the HD 330 is 150 ohm. As someone who owned them for years, you definitely would need an amp to bring most out of these cans.
@@AmbientWanderer yes.. although my acidic sweat made the fake leather fall apart in a flaky matter and cable broke under abuse... if you were to stand in front of me with new sealed box.. I would not hesitate for a second to get it again
@@AmbientWanderer closed will have little better stage presence and tighter bass..... I don't prefer closed system as it gives me some strange pressure claustrophobia I don't like... Also walking through a park and being able to listen to the birds or the sound of the wind in the leaves is nice too (or hearing a car hurling towards you) ... Being around people and make em listen to your sound bleed ..not so much. So it's up to your preferences and circumstances

no, there is no evidence amplifiers make any difference to sound. if they do, your amplifier is not working correctly and is colouring the sound.

Emm they are not too cheep for EU or for me in Latvija it costs nearly 60€ I wold say not too cheep
All he is saying that compared to the 500+ EUR studio headphones, they are cheap.
