- What can I say about Lana Del Rey? She ceases to amaze me. The song "Blue Jeans" was absolutely beautiful. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it is such a great song and yet the message is kinda sad if you really listen to the words.
But, the great thing is....I don't have to think about it. I can just sit back and get hypnotized by the sound of Lana's music.

There are so many great songs from this Lana era : black beauty, sad girl, west coast, fkd my way up to the top, gods and monsters many have very sexy / sexual undertones and are more complex then some of her newer songs musically. Dark paradise on born to die is an amazing track too
Yes. Your interpretation was on point. She was so in love with him she couldn't escape him. You can see in the videos he had such control on her and ended up drowning her with himself.

Loved your interpretation. I was in such a toxic relationship when I was 17 and I had this mind setting of ride or die despite my friends and family warning me about the damage I was enduring and when I was set free of that bond (not willingly, I was ditched when this person found someone else) I kept this kind of thoughts in my head like "yeah, I feel like I will love and suffer until I die for this person" but one day you wake up and realize that you haven't thought about them throughout the day and that's the most liberating feeling in the world. I managed to get better, the trauma is still a on going process I have to sort out but you're so right about knowing when to walk away and LISTENING to those who are worth listening to, our close relationships like family, siblings, friends know when something is wrong and since then I choose to listen to them and put on a privilege on my relationship with them instead of my relationship with a lover. I know that when the time comes my partner will be part of my family too and I will trust them with this privilege but until then it's like that.
