Fragile freedom 2023 - Masaryk University Remembers November 1989

Fragile freedom as a celebration of democracy took place on November 16 and commemorated the 34th anniversary of the fall of communist totality in our country.
The programme started with prorector Radim Polčák, who awarded a silver medal to Karel Skalický, a participant in the exile struggle against communist totalitarianism.
Ukrainian diplomat Olexander Scherba spoke on the topic "Ukraine as a moral and political crossroads of humanity". In the end, dramaturg, screenwriter and pedagogue Petr Oslzlý recalled his friend Václav Havel. The Fragile Freedom commemorative event was closed by an organ concert performed by choirmaster and organist Patrik Buchta.
