@@RAMIR3Z0 yeah, the one thing i miss the most was the realistic crash damage from gta4, also the cars had a sense of weight to them you could really feel it especially when making turns. it made driving feel more realistic and doesnt feel like paper like in gta5 😥it actually took skills to drive good in gta4 which was part of the fun
Why I consider GTA 4 the best from the series: the story, characters and ending. While in the other games the protagonist kills every villain and they make it (don’t get me started with the V’s endings, because it was confirmed on Multiplayer story that option C is Canon), in IV, there’s no happy ending, Niko is back Where he started, feeling empty that revenge didn’t fulfilled him
i feel that the non-canon ending in GTA IV is even more sad, you lose your cousin, mallorie is pregnant and without a father, you lose kate and you're pretty much alone.

I remember when gta 4 first came out everyone hated it. Everyone was complaining about the driving mechanics in the game being "too realistic", the story being too dark, the colors in the game too dull, Its too hard to get away from the cops, etc... Now Gta 5 went back to its roots and now everybody's complaining🤣🤣🤣 Its hard to please fans
A Part 2? That would be great. If I may suggest something to show... the pedestrians that are on the ground. In GTA IV, Niko would stand on top of them like they are really there, but in GTA V if you would walk over a ped, your legs would go straight through that ped like you stand on nothing.
the nice part in GTA IV is that in the settings, the GPS can be set so only select few cars have it, meaning, if you take a rusted piece of car, it won't have GPS voice, but a nice new car will. d e t a i l e s
I prefer GTA iv for the physics, hell even the car crashes were more realistic. I do appreciate in GTA v that if you fall in your car just right you can explode on impact. I also miss in the earlier GTA games, the paramedics would help people and they'd get up.
@@vex2x9710 Improved? More like downgraded. There are far less to do in GTA V compared to other games. Unpredictable stock marketing? Although it's affected by certain Assassination Missions, Destorying stocks for certain companies doesn't effect their or their rivals stocks. Collectables are not only a chore but they're not exactly rewarding (Except for The Space Docker I guess) There are no ways to earn money after story completion aside from robbing stores for $2000 at most in a game where the real stuff costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. You can buy properties that will take all of your money from "The Last Score", But the weekly revenue they give back is jackshit. Some even require you, The owner to drag your ass all the way to do some labor from chasing paparazzi, Deliver products down to kill a gang that's trying to burn your bar down. Imagine being the owner of your own company but having to work as a Taxi. Or else no profits for another week. There are no activites to do besides Golf and Tennis, Nobody goes to Gun Range for fun if they can shoot real targets. Races are exclusive to Franklin even though they should be available to the others. Not parachuting, I mean it's fun if you're me but not many agree. I guess playing Darts is acceptable But why set it to only one location in the whole map? How about hanging out with friends? That got HEAVILY downgraded from GTA IV. For whatever reason there are no restaurants in this game that you can enter, you can't even eat to replenish your health. There are no gyms that you can use or anything. Hell, to be honest there was so little to do we kept occupying ourselves with glitches.
So they can put them back in a couple of years later and pretend they're new! If you're a fan of any sports series that release a game every year, you'll notice they do that shit all the time.
imo GTAV is like a well made, funny TV drama we all enjoy watching. GTAIV is like a masterpiece film we all get emotionally overwhelmed watching ending credit silently.
Everyone talking about physics , graphics , theme song yeah okay . . But what about the unique story , the characters , the accent , the sad ending , the tragedy , the real and dark side of America, the wanna go bowling cousin , etc ?
GTA IV was so technically impressive. It's a shame they decided to dial back the realism in V to suit the complainers who just wanted a zany sandbox. I like V just fine and it's more appealing to a wider audience but IV is really an underappreciated masterpiece.

Greg the vehicle damage is one of the biggest things that were done better in iv than v. Also the way people react to being shot is way better in v. You can also give money to street artists like sax players in the subway in iv!
@@VintageSlide some limitations are due to online module that is way more different from 4 to 5. and if you want to be correct about this, point the better part's from gta 5... let me give you s mall start ( gta 5 characters have usuall life too, convertible work's in gta5, clothes are reactiong to the weather.... you can rent vehicles... you have the real conception of assurance to cars... ) trust me.. the list can go on and on...
there are well designed interiors for hospitals in gta 5 too. Install open all doors mod from gta5mods.com and check out. I think all such things will have some significance in online mode. Ex- casino
MRah gta v story was alright and the heists were fun but the work to unlock the map and guns and completing the missions was just better I love the cars and the hospital the story was insanely good

I gotta say, I feel more passion went into games back then. Visually speaking, GTA V is stunning, but I feel like we lost a lot of gameplay elements and little details that made GTA 4 so great. Not to mention the fact that micro transactions introduced in V have really hurt the series. I can say with (almost) certainty that we would have another GTA released already if it wasn’t for GTA V micro transactions and their profitability. Why make a new game when we can just keep updating this one? No, I fondly remember playing GTA 4 and it’s additions. Each mission felt different and you actually build relationships with npcs within the game. Overall, it’s the small mechanics that I miss, and the simplicity of it all. In the base game you had 2 or 3 weapons in each class, and they all felt vastly different, cars handled differently, and the online scene wasn’t based around money. In fact, there was NO MONEY SYSTEM in GTA 4 online. Better days.

So the other day I was standing still in front of someone's house using Michael, Keep in mind that I was standing outside of his property, Looking at Warstock on the internet. Suddenly the phone closed as some house's owner came over to me and pushed me. So I tried to use SELF-DEFENSE by fighting back using my BARE HANDS, Of course the guy died and I got a wanted level. I got in Michael's ride and started driving away, Accidentally passing a cop that was MIRACULOUSLY at the end of the street, So I pushed the petal to the metal. For no reason I got a 2nd wanted level and they started shooting me for nothing but self-defense. So while driving I accidentally ran over a cop WHO PURPOSELY GOT ON MY WAY, I guess that may be a reason to be shot on sight. With my 3rd Wanted Level, I took the highway to Sandy Shores. Occasionally I would lose sight of the cops but VERY CONVENIENTLY, The police tend to have a chopper that is flying toward me and just happen to randomly patrolling in an area in front of me. So I got to Sandy Shores, I was driving fast near the airfield after losing the cops sight yet again. But I kid you not I saw a police cruiser spawn in front of me, I decided to heavily slow down and drive quietly behind a set of cars, keeping a distance from the cops. They MIRACULOUSLY noticed me behind TWO other cars. I tried to speed ahead but the cop rammed into me, causing me to drive straight into the fuel station besides the airfield. We both died. Seriously, It's bullshit that the cops spawn in front of you and also happen to drive toward you even when they have no idea where you are.
GTA IV is overall the better game, it had more details and 2 DLCs. I don't even have a problem with the graphics, they fit with the gritty Story and simulate New York pretty well.

I miss it so much in GTA Online. It would give the business grind so much replayability. I am playing without mini-map for the immersion even in Online and this feature would save me from opening the map several times when I dont know the exact road where my final destination is. This is really an very important accessibility problem, which should not be the issue in a game developed in the 2010s, especially if it has that kind of popularity and development costs. It lets it stand out in comparison to many other games. I can nearly play all games without map because developers know they have to plan for people like me.
From gameplay to story/theme, GTA V toned down the previous instalment's realism/seriousness in favour of 'fun'. As a result, V felt more like a vacation: an awesome, but ultimately shallow experience. Whereas GTA IV actually gave me the feeling of living the life of a European immigrant struggling to come up in a major American city. This gave IV a unique 'outsider' perspective that worked with the game's limitations, whereas V felt more like a mashup of popular HBO series, storywise.

The protagonists are horribly made. There's nothing to do in the world outside of missions. Most activities are boring. In fact, the game itself is super boring. Aside from Heists, nothing else rewards you in the game. Doing Yoga, Going to Therapy, Solving a murder Mystery, And all that crazy stuff for nothing. You collect submarines pieces all over the ocean for 10 bucks. You do all parachute jumps just for your rival to commit suicide. You keep on helping a Paparazzi who promises to pay you but just pretends to forget who you are. You steal weed to help an idiot do a campaign to legalize weed but he doesn't even show up. How about businesses? I paid $20,000,000 to get a proper income, Not $250,000 every in game week. And I don't get paid if I don't get in a plane and spread stupid flyers. Finish the story and try to do anything, It's boring and useless. There's isn't much to do at all.
GTA V takes place in California, more specifically, LA, where everything either is or feels fake. They make movies, lotta celebs have plastic surgery, and clothes that pretend its big shit although it ain't. GTA V is real people in a fake world. GTA IV is real people in a real world.
Also everyone in san Andreas just- feels like a stereotype. Like a parodies version of a actual character. Either everyone will curse on sight, punch, shoot, kill or whichever. It's not like they feel like a character, it's just being loud for the sake of appealing to kids.
GTA IV was the most immersive and cinematic game in the GTA franchise. It had a gritty and complex story, interesting characters and and the most beautiful, living breathing world of any GTA game. It was a really mature game, and it's a shame that is was so misunderstood by idiots who were expecting San Andreas 2. It was a pretty damn bold move by Rockstar to make that game.
I agree with everything except the driving. GTA IV doesn’t necessarily have more realistic driving just cause sharp turns are harder to do. In GTA IV controlling vehicles is unnecessarily hard for no reason and I feel like in V they made it way too easy. We need like a middle ground between the two games, that would be perfect
You have no idea wtf you're talking about. GTA 4 has much more realistic driving to the point where it's in a league of it's own. Cars irl DO NOT handle like go karts like in GTA 5, cars have weight and they understeer/oversteer a lot when cornering.

GTA IV had the same feeling as the original 3 games, however GTA V feels different, it’s hard to explain, but it’s missing that darker feel to it. It feels more like an action movie
Gta 5 is linear with their missions making everyone have a similar experience. Every other gta before was more free. You could start a mission, realize you need health and go to a restaurant for food to increase health. That's why in gta 5 you heal. I just hope gta 6 is more free again.

@Montel Hendrix Actually San Andreas is one of the best GTA Games out there, For a PS2 game that ran on consoles with limited capabilities, You could do much more than you can do in GTA V. From exploring the world to much more unique cheats (RIP Flying Cars Cheat), to having tons of ways to earn money, And so on.

1. I really like the fact that you can fall over while drunk in GTA 4. It's great, funny and realistic. 2. The car also tilts when you turn in GTA 4. Hard to turn at high speeds, sure, but I found that going in reverse then making a sudden turn to face the direction you're going is fluid, easy, and keeps the flow of car chases going. I love it.
Yes. I have played both games, I do not think Grand Theft Auto 4 or 5 is better. Both games are just about the same. I like Grand Theft Auto 5 though, It has more realistic skies, weather, ect ect!

I believe that the reason why there is less detail in gta v is because the introduction of gta online as they were more focused of putting more detail on the online version as people would play more online than the story mode of the game reasons why there isn't too much detail

GTA 4 online was the best too. Everyone went to the airport and would just race and shit, and sometimes start big fights. Occasionally you got a modded who wouldn’t grief but just spawn ramps for people. It had a great community
Yeah i remember finding a truck where the back could fit a car, i guess it was a tow truck, and picking up some random people to do a drive by with ARs. Me only being around 14 years old, managed to flip over and crush my back up. It was real funny. Hopefully gta 6 will become more car focused again.
GTAIV made grown men get out of bed 2 hours early to get some playtime before work. GTAV was just a parody of HEAT and it's turned into a money making milking cow for R.
Damn I never thought about how they took all those good elements of Heat and turned into a kids arcade shooter. No realistic physics in the engine, just cause big explosions and fancy new guns skins.
I loved how you could lean forward on a motorcycle causing the back wheel to easily spin. It made turning around or doing cookies so awesome. I was so disappointed when I got GTA5 and it didn't have it.
Actually, the reason why they took out of GTA V some of the details that make more realistic a game like GTA IV was because people complain too much about GTA IV being too realistic for its own good, some of them even said that S.A was a better game than GTA IV, only because it was more "funny". I really enjoyed GTA IV, never complained about its gameplay and when Rockstar released GTA V I was expecting way more insane details, yes there are some but it was so disappointing when I first crashed a car and realized that it looked way much better in the old game and also when I saw that if you shot someone in the leg either they died or just stand up and start running away from you... so stupid, overall GTA V is a good game but In my humble opinion, I still prefer the fourth game.
This argument is good but we clearly can see thing that they removed that also existed in san andreas like the paramedics. Gta 5 was ade with the same issue that almost every game in this generation suffer. The companies was more i terested in create graphics than gameplay. We can cleary see this in almost every trailer vs real game. The only focus was in graphics, look in the trailers. Is the only things they care about. That is also why so many game had downgrade in this generation.
No I remember when four came out , people loved it ,it got an 8.3 green when it came out , there where alot fourms taking about how much they loved the game . The cons were roman keep calling you to go bowling, the driving and there were division with realism and that's about it .
I feel like rockstar has gotten lazy on adding extra details and not putting that much effort on the physics, only give priority to the graphics, which I don’t care that much for. 😕
What make me like the most is those activities you can do with your friends or girlfriend after mission, you can gain positive or negative feedback from your friends and which make me feel the character is alive and so does the liberty city.
There is many more. Like Realistic sound Realistic police chase Realistic tire pop and deflating Realistic car rattling sound Realistic fall Realistic pedestrian reaction to weather and environment around them Many more Feel free to add more
Red dead didn't dissapoint it has a whole lot of details in it bigger map and longer story gta 6 would be alot better I have no doubt about rockstar games

I prefer GTA iv for the physics, hell even the car crashes were more realistic. I do appreciate in GTA v that if you fall in your car just right you can explode on impact. I also miss in the earlier GTA games, the paramedics would help people and they'd get up.

Unpredictable stock marketing? Although it's affected by certain Assassination Missions, Destorying stocks for certain companies doesn't effect their or their rivals stocks.

There are no ways to earn money after story completion aside from robbing stores for $2000 at most in a game where the real stuff costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.
You can buy properties that will take all of your money from "The Last Score", But the weekly revenue they give back is jackshit.
Some even require you, The owner to drag your ass all the way to do some labor from chasing paparazzi, Deliver products down to kill a gang that's trying to burn your bar down.
Imagine being the owner of your own company but having to work as a Taxi.
Or else no profits for another week.
There are no activites to do besides Golf and Tennis, Nobody goes to Gun Range for fun if they can shoot real targets.
Races are exclusive to Franklin even though they should be available to the others.

GTA IV was so technically impressive. It's a shame they decided to dial back the realism in V to suit the complainers who just wanted a zany sandbox. I like V just fine and it's more appealing to a wider audience but IV is really an underappreciated masterpiece.

I gotta say, I feel more passion went into games back then. Visually speaking, GTA V is stunning, but I feel like we lost a lot of gameplay elements and little details that made GTA 4 so great. Not to mention the fact that micro transactions introduced in V have really hurt the series. I can say with (almost) certainty that we would have another GTA released already if it wasn’t for GTA V micro transactions and their profitability. Why make a new game when we can just keep updating this one? No, I fondly remember playing GTA 4 and it’s additions. Each mission felt different and you actually build relationships with npcs within the game. Overall, it’s the small mechanics that I miss, and the simplicity of it all. In the base game you had 2 or 3 weapons in each class, and they all felt vastly different, cars handled differently, and the online scene wasn’t based around money. In fact, there was NO MONEY SYSTEM in GTA 4 online. Better days.

So the other day I was standing still in front of someone's house using Michael, Keep in mind that I was standing outside of his property, Looking at Warstock on the internet.
Suddenly the phone closed as some house's owner came over to me and pushed me.
So I tried to use SELF-DEFENSE by fighting back using my BARE HANDS, Of course the guy died and I got a wanted level.
I got in Michael's ride and started driving away, Accidentally passing a cop that was MIRACULOUSLY at the end of the street, So I pushed the petal to the metal.
For no reason I got a 2nd wanted level and they started shooting me for nothing but self-defense.
So while driving I accidentally ran over a cop WHO PURPOSELY GOT ON MY WAY, I guess that may be a reason to be shot on sight.
With my 3rd Wanted Level, I took the highway to Sandy Shores.
Occasionally I would lose sight of the cops but VERY CONVENIENTLY, The police tend to have a chopper that is flying toward me and just happen to randomly patrolling in an area in front of me.
So I got to Sandy Shores, I was driving fast near the airfield after losing the cops sight yet again.
But I kid you not I saw a police cruiser spawn in front of me, I decided to heavily slow down and drive quietly behind a set of cars, keeping a distance from the cops.
They MIRACULOUSLY noticed me behind TWO other cars.
I tried to speed ahead but the cop rammed into me, causing me to drive straight into the fuel station besides the airfield.
We both died.
Seriously, It's bullshit that the cops spawn in front of you and also happen to drive toward you even when they have no idea where you are.
GTA IV is overall the better game, it had more details and 2 DLCs. I don't even have a problem with the graphics, they fit with the gritty Story and simulate New York pretty well.

I miss it so much in GTA Online. It would give the business grind so much replayability. I am playing without mini-map for the immersion even in Online and this feature would save me from opening the map several times when I dont know the exact road where my final destination is.
This is really an very important accessibility problem, which should not be the issue in a game developed in the 2010s, especially if it has that kind of popularity and development costs.
It lets it stand out in comparison to many other games. I can nearly play all games without map because developers know they have to plan for people like me.

GTA IV was the most immersive and cinematic game in the GTA franchise. It had a gritty and complex story, interesting characters and and the most beautiful, living breathing world of any GTA game. I believe that the reason why there is less detail in gta v is because the introduction of gta online as they were more focused of putting more detail on the online version as people would play more online than the story mode of the game reasons why there isn't too much detail

GTA 4 online was the best too. Everyone went to the airport and would just race and shit, and sometimes start big fights. Occasionally you got a modded who wouldn’t grief but just spawn ramps for people. It had a great community
Yeah i remember finding a truck where the back could fit a car, i guess it was a tow truck, and picking up some random people to do a drive by with ARs. Me only being around 14 years old, managed to flip over and crush my back up. It was real funny. Hopefully gta 6 will become more car focused again.

I loved how you could lean forward on a motorcycle causing the back wheel to easily spin. It made turning around or doing cookies so awesome. I was so disappointed when I got GTA5 and it didn't have it.
Actually, the reason why they took out of GTA V some of the details that make more realistic a game like GTA IV was because people complain too much about GTA IV being too realistic for its own good, some of them even said that S.A was a better game than GTA IV, only because it was more "funny". I really enjoyed GTA IV, never complained about its gameplay and when Rockstar released GTA V I was expecting way more insane details, yes there are some but it was so disappointing when I first crashed a car and realized that it looked way much better in the old game and also when I saw that if you shot someone in the leg either they died or just stand up and start running away from you... so stupid, overall GTA V is a good game but In my humble opinion, I still prefer the fourth game.
This argument is good but we clearly can see thing that they removed that also existed in san andreas like the paramedics. Gta 5 was ade with the same issue that almost every game in this generation suffer. The companies was more i terested in create graphics than gameplay. We can cleary see this in almost every trailer vs real game. The only focus was in graphics, look in the trailers. Is the only things they care about. That is also why so many game had downgrade in this generation.
No I remember when four came out , people loved it ,it got an 8.3 green when it came out , there where alot fourms taking about how much they loved the game . The cons were roman keep calling you to go bowling, the driving and there were division with realism and that's about it .
