Man. I was there and it was fun. That was the best tribute ever by a band. That band loud, I was in top row and i could here them loud and clear and make what they were playing clearly. The drum majors were off the chain. I used to be a rattler and my mom did 2.
We are THE BAND....it's what we do baby at FAMU....Strike....Strike.....and Strike again! FAMU Class of 2000 School of Business & Industry (the real 5yr program)
Are they from those stupid corps bands (North Alabama, Jax State, UTEP, etc) that have no entertainment value at all whatsoever? Hate those idiotic bands.
FAMU iiZ STR8 BEAST YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DiiD U SEE MiiCHEALS HEAD AND THE GLOVE....COME ON NOW WHO CAN BEAT THAT ii CANT WAiiT TO SEE THiiZ iiSH 4 Mii SELF iTZ AMAZiiNG!!!!!!!!!!!!
@pathtek4 yes it happened but let's not forget Cornell University either June 2011 future doctor was tied up by his frat bro's forced to drink alcohol and died of alcohol poisoning. Or the U.of Miami Chad Meredith baseball player who died the same was as the Cornell student. Check the Chad Meredith law.Or the U of Texas where they beat a kid after kidnapping him for fear that he would tell on them he then committed suicide.UNC Chapel Hill, Southeast Missouri State, Alfred State in NY 2 deaths.
sorry to bust your bubble but the idea came from one our own marching 100 members who still marches today to use the glove, because he did all the work himself assembling it all together so you to call Dr. White I dont think that happened, sorry
@44bankz well all MEAC bands focus more on sound rather than being loud and obnoxious. MEAC bands have DCI influence on them. also this is how a marching band should sound all the time
You clearly was not their on Saturday, because if you was you would know that Famu was LOUD!!!!!!! And when I say LOUD i mean LOUD!!!!!! Trust me I was their.
when our band actually formed michael jackson, umm.. it was def the point where we shitted on tsu. lol. hell, we shitted on them when we stepped on the field lmao..
@drjuancarlosvega You are dishonoring Michael with racial comments. MJ was all about unity and love for ALL people no matter what race or culture. This is what MJ stood for, equality, so show a little respect for those of us who admire that.
We did this before them, the concept they used to make that "picture formation" is one created and used by the Marching 100. Your like a regular season fan, making a coaches analysis. just make sense. Realize what they did was an imitation of something done by HBCU's for the last 50 yrs
+LaRhonda Smith "Out did"? In what way? You must not have seen parts 2 and 3.OSU was way boring. Only 'wow' factor was that extra lethargic lean and moon walk. That was nice, but FAMU had a better mix of songs, They sounded better and way more exciting. And lets not even talk about the Dance routine.
This was wonderful to see -- A whole stadium rises for these talented musicians and for Michael Jackson -the worlds greatest musician and humanitarian
Michael J.Jackson is the king of Pop and always will be the king of pop in my heart forever.
One of the best drills of all time, real talk.
Michael Jackson was a beautigul person ,inside and out , may he rest in peace away from the people who abused his good heart and name

NikDLenfent I thought I was the only one who liked intros and transitions. I even like the endings to hear the crowd cheer and standing ovations.

We're going to ignore the fact that OSU had 4 years to make sure their routine was "better" than the one done before it right? Just checking.

Are they from those stupid corps bands (North Alabama, Jax State, UTEP, etc) that have no entertainment value at all whatsoever? Hate those idiotic bands.

No way! I'll be playing in this stadium for the Chic-Fil-A bowl on New Years! That's bigger than I thought!
exellent drill execution...... how manny times did you paractice that?
@pathtek4 yes it happened but let's not forget Cornell University either June 2011 future doctor was tied up by his frat bro's forced to drink alcohol and died of alcohol poisoning. Oooh! That was COOL :D
@MrTeeshaw you have to be a beast on your main instrument or secondary instrument. sight reading skills gotta be above par
Goodness! How did they coordinate that?!
damn man i miss the old famu nobody wanted it before the hazing incident
"mixed latino dog" LOOOOL
u had me with the hello xD
@ MrKomKast Are you in the 100? and if so what instument do you play?
is that the evil corporate guy from Boondocks as the announcer? (Wuntzler?)
sorry to bust your bubble but the idea came from one our own marching 100 members who still marches today to use the glove, because he did all the work himself assembling it all together so you to call Dr. White I dont think that happened, sorry
Can anyone translate in inglish what he sad at 1:21... "we must till" ???
@44bankz well all MEAC bands focus more on sound rather than being loud and obnoxious. MEAC bands have DCI influence on them. also this is how a marching band should sound all the time

@MrTeeshaw I play Sousaphone. and naw i'm not in the 100. but i'm trying out to be a Whale in 2014. lets just say i know alot about the 100
rip to the real family of bands
when our band actually formed michael jackson, umm.. it was def the point where we shitted on tsu. lol. hell, we shitted on them when we stepped on the field lmao..
HUBBA 100
FALL 96
I live how the announcer is speaking such strong words against violence and here this band has been hazing which resulted in a death.
Was he Convicted? Can you Prove that?
Aye check my school!
@drjuancarlosvega You are dishonoring Michael with racial comments. MJ was all about unity and love for ALL people no matter what race or culture. This is what MJ stood for, equality, so show a little respect for those of us who admire that.
elvis was the king of what?
This was nice but ohio really out did all the college bands in their MJ tribute can't take it from them it is what is...
We did this before them, the concept they used to make that "picture formation" is one created and used by the Marching 100. Your like a regular season fan, making a coaches analysis. just make sense. Realize what they did was an imitation of something done by HBCU's for the last 50 yrs

Unfortunate that the songs weren't recognizable. Sorry, OSU did it waaaaay better. The music, the glove, the moonwalk....just better. Sorry.
StateTropper2k1..you obviously dont kno music...becuz every tyme FAMU puts on a show...THEY PUT ON A SHOW!!!!!hater
Elvis was "the king". Michael was second in nature. However, Michael was one heck of a performer.
